That tenor part at the beginning never really sounded right to me. I see what they were trying to do, but those splits just aren't working out. Also, I would have chosen a different mallet. I know they are going for a soft touch there but those mallets just made those drums sound dull. If the heads weren't so tight they'd maybe sound better. Or different heads. SCV could do it. Their tenor heads ring out much better than these clear tight heads. This show overall did grow on me though. I didn't like it at first.
I just am really not a fan of the tenor tuning. I wonder if it sounds better indoors, but to me they sound exactly like an elementary schools 50$ Walmart drums. (Not the players of course.)
19:40 R.I.P. Tyler
Thank you for getting this out there
Adam Holm No problem :)
Oh hi Adam
Man those guys at 7:41 sound really good!

i always liked randal may. the dolphin tale felt great on snare and bass for me, so just curious why the RIP lol
Did you notice what grip the tenors were using in the opening passage?
Tansea looked like a two mallet technique for keyboards
Yes, but is it Burton or...
Yeah looks like burton
A lot of cool stuff.
holy shit.. Will made it to RCC!?
wait did they change the quads mount to a Yamaha mount? why would they not leave the original System Blue Mount?
AustinSiros Percussion because pearl was gonna sue system blue because there equipment looked all the same
jojo puppet studio Pearl needs to chill
AustinSiros Percussion yeah I know it's pretty crazy how much they had to change over the summer
Wow that is some innovative writing there! Who writes the battery book? Those drums sound so good. Especially the basses. They sound so focused.
I believe it is Sean Vega, it used to be Mike Jackson for a long time, just a side note lol
Nabadilla909 it has been Sean Vega since 2004 and before that it was Scott Johnson, not Mike Jackson
Not sure if its the audio recording or if there is just A LOT of dirt.
Oh nice rims🙌🏽
I feel 2013 blue Devils

It was all good until the end lol
Snares are dirty af.

DatK9 I agree completely. I hate really tight heads. They only sound good with an attack. Soft playing sounds dull.
This is pretty bad people playing on unfocused and tons of dirt from the snares like RCC get yer shit together.
