I have follow this tuto one time and the selector didn't work... so I did it a second time and it was ok !
Just one thing that is not mentioned : don't forget to tun on "cap holes" in the Array.
Thanks for this great tutorial !

I recently made an RC object with many types of markings - but as always I learned a trick or two with the use of the output map - Excellent tut. as always !!

Thank you so much, use headphones when recording to avoid the noise bleed

All of the tutorials are very useful, but most of them are too complicated. You should add all of them to the library. You've created a bunch of amazing tutorials but I have no idea why you don't just add them to the library.

Does RailClone support the new Vray/Corona Decal as an input object? It would be much more simpler to clone instanced decals and project them on the surface without working with additional geometry.

There are currently some limitations with using decals. If it worked it'd be a nice approach too, although then you are restricted to using only the fixed shapes provided in decals. This way of working allows you to create parametric lines that can be any shape. Both approaches have their strengths and weaknesses of course.

Sadly not possible to have yellow and white lines using Corona & corona distance map. It has a strange dependancy loop error when adding different geometry to the separate corona distance maps

everything is fine except the RC object does not follow the path interpolation... the curve is stepped. Any idea why??

You may need to add more edge loops to the source geometry to that it can deform more smoothly. IF that doesn't help, try turning up curve steps in the Style rollout.

How can I make it work on a terrain? As soon as I bring in a surface node in railclone, I can no longer use VrayDistTex as it won't let me make Circular Reference.

Apply the editable mesh on railclone then apply Circular Reference then delete the editable mesh modifier.

Hi team, thanks for the great tutorial. I have a questions that I have tried to figure out for long time with no luck. I am trying to to work out the corners when there are multiple parallel pipes and want to keep the same curve radio in all of them when they turn. (generating everything from a single spline) I manage to do it with the straight corners only but when I use the bevel I get different radius in all of them with the exterior pipe bending more than the ones inside. Hope that make sense! Thank you

Thanks for the interesting question. Would you mind dropping out support team a message. It's easier than supporting in the comment section. Thanks! www.itoosoft.com/contact

if i need to divide the road in v shape how do that ... rail clone hasent that yet

Thanks for the question. This tutorial is about road marking, in which case you could probably just draw a spline for each road since they don't really need to be neatly finished (they're often not in real life)
To create the roads themselves, you're right, I'm afraid at present RailClone can't create intersections automatically. You'd need an element of manual modelling. More commonly I use RailCLone for the pavements and markings, but model the road surfaces themselves since it's pretty easy to do.

It seems that the double line does not longer work on rail clone 6

It should work fine, can you let us know more about the problem?

@@itoosoft My bad!, needed to change the line spacing when I select a double line. Cheers guys. Love the tutorial and the provided files, what a gem
