Looks like a lot of fun. Like someone else already said. Tall skinnys and chains will make you unstoppable. I had a similar power problem in my 63 109. I could only run one thing at a time or the battery would discharge. Hard to do in the Alaskan winter, you could see or stay warm but not both at the same time. :-) I upgraded to a disco alternator and solved the problem.

:) this is less snow then we have daily all winter. My LR s2 had never problem in 50cm snow. But 2cm and 0 degree could stop it. It's the temp that make snow slippery. With studs no problem.

@@hayden_jones Series Land Rovers still seem to be very capable, a good few years ago an old S2 88" diesel outperformed my Td5 90 offroad and l the reason became apparent when the driver told me he'd fitted front and rear difflocks! also had a heater unit out of a 1990 VW Polo fitted complete with the 3 speed fan, it certainly made a difference to his interior, a good mod for Series Land Rovers in cold climates is heated windscreens, had them on an ex MOD FFR l had and never needed the blower for the windshield, great scenery by the way.

I think it's the tires and the style of driving that make the difference. Also, here in the U.S., we'll use the strap and branch method of getting unstuck.

Hayden, as Canadian who lives in the snow belt known as the Kootenays, I can honestly say that after a lifetime of shoveling this white shit, ANY SNOW IS TOO MUCH SNOW.
The fact that you have to drive to find it is the only redeeming factor.
I always thought that I would put a snow shovel on the front of my truck and head south until some asked what is that?
61 years this year is enough winter for me...
Can't wait to make it a recreation possibility, not a part of daily life for 8 months a year..
    We used to say...
10 months of winter and 2 months of shitty skiing.
Waiting to travel some of the roads you know.
Until then, I'll catch up on your videos....
