Next-Gen Artillery: Elbit Systems and Rheinmetall Display Live-Fire Demo of Automated 155mm Howitzer

Rheinmetall and Elbit Systems have recently confirmed the successful completion of the firing test for their advanced L52 wheeled artillery system. This significant milestone was achieved during the month of March at the Shivta firing range, located in Israel. Distinguished military officials from the armed forces of the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, and Hungary were present as honored guests to witness the test.

Sigma (Rohen) has rate of firing 8 rounds per minutes while Nora has a 12 rounds in 4 minutes (3/min), Sigma has crew of 2 while Nora of five.

@@branislavnedeljkovic Elbit Systems is an Israel company, Americans have nothing to do with it, Soltam (Elbit unit) created of ATMOS 2000 (Self-propelled howitzer in service since 2001), the 🇮🇱IDF was required a more robust ATMOS 2000 total autonomous and with a greater rate of fire, originally intended to purchase Rheinmetall Panzerhaubitze 2000 but due to many legal limitations that comes with buying German weapons the decided to grant Elbit the contract.
