Food poisoning over. Let's talk about the FIN thing from the sweepstakes. (Run while you can). During the Spamton Sweepstakes Shayy asked Spamton what the lyrics of "Now's your chance to be a" were. I... think he meant to ask about the Bigshot Theme proper, but tomato potato. Spamton's then replied to this tweet with the following: "[Sucbscrube] TO SPAMTON [Lyrics Jeanist] NOW FOR $3,99! THE FIRST THREE LETTERS ARE [Free]! F I N" So uh... the thing you need to remember about Spamton is... he's not always... direct or reliable. Like a few tweets later he offers to gibe someone a free antivirus which uhhh he doesn't. (I think???) At the time, I assumed the joke here was that "FIN" is something you put at the end of like, a movie or a skit. Spamton loves to make jokes about death, so to me, this would be a bit like saying "The first three letters are: D I E." Just Toby poking a little fun since he knows we're all going to get the lyrics anyway in a few weeks, when the doll releases. Apparently I was naive! Okay so uhhh, I don't... know the full history of this meme because uhhhh, this... isn't really my area of expertise or... interest? (???? The internet is weird, I had to be told about this okay?) But apparently there was some kind of meme... uh... song... that uses Asgore's name in the title. The song is... kinda... sexually explicit so I'm not gonna go into detail. I will link it if you really need it but first: CONTENT WARNING SEXUALLY EXPLICIT AS HECK YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED: ua-cam.com/video/1P4EP5TI574/v-deo.html I know I tend to be overly cautious about the content warnings, but this is not a joke. Anyways, uhhh this song does have lyrics, and they do indeed start with "F I N." To those of you thinking "Fin" stands for "fingers" uhhh you're.... probably right? But not in the way you think. I'm 90% sure "fingers" are not in the lyrics of the Big Shot theme proper. If you're wondering why I didn't mention it in the video uhhh I guess I didn't realize so many people trusted Spamton's tweets so much, so it didn't occur to me to cover it. (I wasn't aware of the Asgore-song-thing either so I was lacking information....) I feel like the mystery of this is better than the actual answer. But I promised I'd explain, so alas, I am bound by my strings.
Well there's the shop dialogue but also the Spamton EX dialogue. Then people looked at Jevil's mention of Queen and the gameshow host dialogue as evidence to tie into the Addison backstory, though by now we know the TV wasn't even the same character anyway.
@@milk_choc7889 wrong, spamton talks about Mike in his shop, smth like "We don't need [friends]! We don't need [MIKE]! ...Mike... Hey Kris! Don't trust anything you see on [TV]" And then on the final scene of the chapter the TV gives a smile, which people say it's Mike
I've always really liked the idea of the last line being "Tell me what you're really selling!" since that adds a sense of veiled desperation to Spamton and his theme, like an implication that his salesman bit is an act and he really doesn't have a clue what's going on. Buuuuut I have to admit "Tell you what you [[BIG SHOT]]!" does make a lot more sense and fits what we know about Spamton better.
i also really liked “Tell me what you’re really selling” a lot, it does add some kind of desperate attempt from Spamton to know what he’s getting maybe the man that talked to him on the phone? I don’t know but this phrase sounds a lot more epic in my opinion
it's still kind of audible in the background, but it gets drowned out by spamton shouting [[BIG SHOT]]. maybe this is an audio representation of how spamton's text gets bracketed when he talks about certain things
wow, its actually super cool that a fan was able to isolate the vocals almost perfectly like that. i was totally prepared to call bullshit and say they just recorded it themself, it just seemed too perfect
There's the weird connection between Des, Spamton and guitars. "Pull the strings and make them ring" is how a guitar is played, Noelle comments on the puppet scarf about how it feels like guitar strings, and then there's find her.ogg from the Spamton sweepstakes.
Maybe spamton kidnapped Dess for some reason?? Wait actually maybe it's just that he knows something about where Dess is/what happened to her, or had some kind of involvement? Assuming she's missing, I mean we technically don't have a clue where Dess is, she could be at college with asriel but it's all very suspicious
@@ragdollkitto it is heavily implied she's dead, if she was at college like Asriel they wouldn't talk about her the way they do. And I seriously doubt Spamton is connected to her at all, the strings line is probably just about his own puppet strings.
@Anne Davis Is Dess talked about in the game or do you mean the ways she's talked about in Noelle's blog? I didn't know Dess existed until the spamton sweepstakes event, was there some dialogue about her in the game that I missed?
@@ragdollkitto there is I'm pretty sure, I knew about her before the sweepstakes event. She does come up if you go through all dialogue available with Noelle and Rudy in both chapters.
With regards to the line 'Until your heart gets ripped up', it's interesting to note that in the Spamton Neo's Heart Attack (the one where he attacks with his own heart), that the heart there seems to have a number of cracks across it's sprite, as if it was ripped or torn into bits. So if that is the case, maybe it's like a warning of some kind. If I remember correctly, Spamton was being helped by a person on the phone until eventually they stopped calling and everything failed for him. Maybe who ever was calling him was exploiting him in some sort of Parasitic way, his strings were pulled until he outlived his usefulness? I don't really know. Eitherway, a very interesting video.
Personally, I hear "'till your heart starts to break up" both connecting to phones/the phone call spamton got (where phones will break up when conenction is bad) but also hearts bring a universal sign for love and "breaking up" as in stopping dating someone? idk thats just what I put together lol
If it's ripped up and he's waiting until you're all alone, it's not that he's isolating Kris from Susie and Ralsei but Kris from the player. The soul is our avatar and connection to Kris. He can't explain to Kris while we're watching. And with that in mind, it's interesting that it took us so long to hear this message clearly. Like it wasn't intended for us.
And as other comments pointed out, Susie makes a comment after the fight that only make sense if we have at least SOME grasp of the lyrics, meaning the trio could hear the song clearly
6:11 I always heard it as “Until your heart starts breaking up” referring to breaking up on a phone when one’s connection gets interrupted. Both meanings mean the same thing tho so idk how much weight it holds to be one or the other.
the radio connection thing makes some sense, Ominous Probably Gaster Intro Voice talks about being "connected" right before the soul appears. maybe it has something to do with disrupting the player's connection to kris? that would be in line with some of the other stuff he says ("heart on a chain" and so forth)
I always heard something like that as well, I've really tried hearing other suggestions but the number of syllables here just feel like the match the best
I still find it funny that when we got the Spamton plush, one of the first things people did was try to figure out what the lyrics were from the voicelines since it was finally isolated from the rest of the track
Instead of what? That line is in the proposed final lyrics, right where I hear it. The second time it's said, though, you can hear that it changes, and the proposed lyrics for that seem perfectly accurate to me. He starts to loop, repeating the "pulls the strings" bit, and then gets derailed, rather than saying it the same way as the first time.
@@riluna3695 I'm referring to the third line in the group of voice lines focused on in the video. Instead of "*he* pulls the strings and makes them ring", it should be "*It* pulls the strings and makes them ring".
The 2 lines starting at 6:06 remind me of Ralsei's tendency to try to convince Kris to think about how someone else might be doing so the player is forced to look away & watch the other character & we never get to see what Ralsei & Kris do during those times. Suspiciously, it doesn't work in a Snowgrave run. Maybe because the entity inside Kris doesn't want them to tell Ralsei what they've been doing with Noelle.
@@watchfulwanderer6443 Oh, that's a good point. Snowgrave Noelle hundreds of feet in the air with Susie, no witnesses except for the voice, & plenty of excuses for Susie to suddenly go missing?
Also, the plush’s percentages of saying the “secret line” I’d say is pretty low. Still, not too low. A few days after I got one, I was spamming it by punching his face in, as you do, and it started saying the line. Knowing I hadn’t heard it before, it was at least uncommon enough to be unsettling even though it wasn’t too hard to get. I then heard what I believe to be a slightly different one a while after that, and have never heard it again since.
If you care at all: The cleanest way to isolate audio tracks is to make a 1-to-1 reproduction of the track and invert the wavelengths. Because the DAW Toby uses (FL Studio) is so accessible and the instruments he uses (mainly SNES soundfonts) are so recognizable, it's pretty easy to make a exact reproducion with some basic knowledge. Now that you have a copy without the vocals, align the two tracks and invert the wavelengths. The similarities in the two tracks will cancel out, and all you will be left with is the vocals. (This might not have been how Blake Gunner did it, but it's a common method. Audio nerd out.)
I've always heard the first line as "I think he's coming for me, answer the phone" but the sweepstakes give a new light. As one of the responses, Spamton says the first 3 letters of the lyrics are "FIN", so there is a possibility it's something like "Fingers coming from the ends of the phone" which shows how Spamton was manipulated by the strange person on the phone. I think this makes more sense than the "I think he's coming for me, answer the phone" but I'll still always hear it as that. Edit: I realized the "I think he's coming for me, answer the phone" line isn't nonsense but might actually be correlating to one of Spamton's past experiences, namely how Spamton was desperately trying to talk to the voice of the phone before "he" (Swatch) kicked him out of his room, as if the voice was some savior. But, the fingers line has atleast some evidence (FIN) compared to the answer the phone line.
i find it funny that people took spamtons answer seriously when the vast majority of his replies were garbage. FIN is most definitely referring to fingers, but not in the way you think. toby loves meme references, and there's a pretty popular edit of asgore's theme on the internet involving fingers.
“It pulls the strings and makes them ring” totally reminds me of Dess, and the fact that her page on the Deltarune website is a red guitar adds more credibility to the theory that she pulls spamton’s and possibly others’ “strings”
@@ajxx9987 maybe, but we can't actually be sure for all we know she could just be at college like asriel. I personally think she's gone missing but I haven't seen anything that can actually confirm what's happened to her or where she is
I'm not sure Des is really pulling anyones strings? Kinda hard to control anyone when you're gone. Spamton is however linked to Noelle and thus could be linked to Des in a similar way (or through Noelle)
It's important to mention that the Spamton Twitter responses mention that the first three letters of the lyrics are "F I N". So as a result it's often assumed that the first line is "Fingers coming from inside the phone". (I've also seen "Fingers coming for me, answer the phone") Personally I hear "Fingers coming from inside the phone/A hand that waits until you're all alone/It pulls the strings and makes them ring/Until your heart starts to break up!" With the last part being a pun about how a phone connection can "break up" like how the voice at the end of the phone became garbage noise for Spamton.
It's a good point but it's equally possible, with the focus on and introduction of the phrase 'find her' in sweepstakes, with Spamton going out of his way to incorrectly spell finder as f1ndh3r in another answer, that 'F I N' may instead refer to 'find her', or both. Though personally whilst I'd always assumed it was 'fingers' too, Sergio's recreation on closer listen pushes me to agree with the 'he' interpretation more since the 'F' inflection sounds like it's due to how it was recorded and wasn't intentional, like how you can hear a strong 'B' for 'phone' which lead people to believe the lyric is 'bone' instead.
@Dylanz Lol Yeah there's definitely a few permutations of it based on how people hear the rhythm. 'Fingers coming....the phone" seems consistent though.
I wonder if "I can't explain til' you're all alone" was a reference to how we couldn't really hear the whole thing until the plush came out, like the player couldn't understand the message until they're no longer listening through Kris. Or maybe it's the other way around, like Spamton is trying to talk to Kris but they know the player is here too? The line "til' your heart gets ripped up" seems to imply that Spamton has some sort of plan to remove the player from the equation, since we communicate with the Deltarune world via Kris' soul. The part after the Spamton NEO fight makes me feel like Spamton is trying to reach out to Kris underneath the player's control for some reason. I wonder how that'll play into future chapters.
It's "A hand that played with you all along" and "Until your heart starts breaking up" Gaster is a manipulator trying to change fate at any cost, including countless Krises who have died fighting for his experiments.
I think it's a reference to how the characters can interact while we're not looking, just like Ralsei and Kris chatting while you're seeing what Susie is doing.
Really well documented! Just like the rest if the community I was trying to figure out what the lyrics in BIG SHOT are hiding and Gunner's video helpd a lot. It's still hard to grasp what spamton means but at least we have a generally accepted version I'm wondering what other types of voice/lyrics the future secret bosses will provide. Jevil uses several sentences, Spamton has lyrics in the music, I don't really know how much more variety is left
I highly contest the "accepted" lyrics, no one is solving the "FIN" problem when it can easily fit as "Fingers coming from inside the phone, a hand that played with you all along"
I really appreciate the attention to detail to fully subtitle this video, and the inventive way you expressed the indistinguishable parts of the lyrics.
I definitely think that the last lyrics are "DON'T YOU WANNA BE A BIG SHOT?". It lines up better with some of his dialogue during the fight, specifically on the turn before his WRECK / SPEW move. "OR... DID YOU WANT TO BE... Did you wanna be..."
I think it's "TELL YOU WHAT YOU BIG SHOT". "TELL YOU WHAT YOU" can even be heard better just right before the first appearance of the "Dummy!" motif in the song. "DON'T YOU WANNA BE A BIG SHOT?" has too many syllables for it to fit imo.
@@Deltakryzz it really does sound like “Tell you what you big shot!” but if you listen REALLY closely you can hear two syllables in the ‘what’, leading me to believe that it has to be ‘wanna’ instead of what. ‘Don’t you wanna be a big shot’ 4:02
yeah, this is i think the most misinterpreted line, you can easily prove that it's "don't you wanna be a big shot" just by slowing this video down to 0.25x and listening closely
I've been wondering the same thing too. That part always goes hard so it usually ends up going over my head but then a day came where I actually paid attention and heard that there were some kind of lyrics
I've always loved the "pulls the strings" section, the consonants make their own percussion. 🅿️ULLS THE STRINGS AND 🅿️ULLS THE STRINGS AND *_TELL YOU WHAT YOU 🅱️1️⃣6️⃣ 5️⃣_**_#️⃣0️⃣7️⃣_**_❗_*
Maybe I'm just reinforcing my interpretation from whenever I first heard the isolated version, but the last line of the first verse is very clearly "until your heart turns RED HOT". That also rhymes with "Big shot" at the end of the second verse, which again makes me think that's definitely what it is.
I love your content, the fact you make high quality videos not just about theories etc. but about the code itself, musical Easter eggs and other stuff makes your channel very unique compared to other deltarune content creators. Keep it up!
Hey Bread, something I think you missed. I think "until your heart gets ripped up" is an intentionally cut-off "apart". This is because "He pulls the strings and makes them ring" establishes a pattern of internal rhyme (heart/apart), and the meter feels like it's missing a syllable for that line. The cutoff, to me, suggests a loss of connection, as if "he" has cut the phone cord or jammed a wireless signal.
I think the 4th line is “until your heart starts to break up”, you can hear the “to” quite clearly in the official isolation, and it’s something the fanmade ones never managed to capture.
@@deadlyadder2330 no, there are enough syllables. Un-til-your-heart-starts-*to*-break up. The “to” is in between beats, so “starts to break” is said twice as fast as the rest.
This video would make a great archive for when/if there's more information about the song! Also I think in the plush version, it sounds more like "IT pulls the strings" which would keep the person more generic.
I remember the first night that I had gotten the plushie and was just pressing his head enjoying the cute voice lines and was nearly jumpscared hearing the hidden vocals officially isolated for the first time. It was such a cool little thing to have randomly play with the doll
I always interpreted the lines as this, “I think they’re coming for me, answer the phone. I can’t explain till you’re all alone. It pulls the strings and makes them ring, till your heart starts to break [up].” Then the final changed line is “Tell you what you big shot.” Even still there are a lot of interpretations of specific lines but now we can safely say that most of the lyrics and general statement are able to be understood.
Nope, its more like "Fingers coming from inside the phone, a hand that played with you all along" from the "FIN" tweet hint. "He pulls strings to make it ring" A direct quote from Spamton's boss fight and "He" usually refers to "Him" AKA Gaster.
@@AngraMainiiu the line is "It pulls the strings and makes them ring". not He. it shows up in the battle menu during neo's fight. FIN is just a meme reference to an undertale song edit.
@@AngraMainiiu lol i'm a year late but i keep hearing something more along the lines of "Fingers coming from the ends of the phone / a hand that waits until you're all alone / It pulls the strings and makes them ring / Until your heart starts to break up" i might be reading a little deep into it (though that seems to be what we do here anyways :P) but i think these lines are more of spamton telling us about his past. specifically, the voice he heard through the phone. it also builds on the idea that spamton isolating kris was a tactic used on him by whatever voice was "coming from the ends of the phone".
It's worth noting that one of the flavor texts during the battle with spamton NEO is "* It pulls the strings and makes them ring," which basically confirms that line.
Great video as always. Personally i was always under the impression that the spamton lyrics said: “Fingers coming from the inside of the phone, A hand that’s waiting till’ you’re all alone, It pulls strings, it makes them ring, Until your heart gets ripped up” I always thought this was the line for the longest time because of how during Susie’s dialogue after the NEO fight she says: “*Puppets… strings… hands… *What the hell does any of that mean? *And the way he just, broke….” And that line from susie never really made any sense otherwise, considering there’s nothing else in the NEO fight that really references hands at all But then more recently the Spamton Sweepstakes “FIN” thing kinda confirmed it in my mind for me.
Since the cut attack(s) with hands were removed in the final game (though ofc that isn't dialogue), all we have within the fight itself is Spamton's unskippable dialogue about turning his hands into phones, which, well he does but they kinda stop being relevant as hands at that point.
It's fun when my favorite content creator uploads. Also, I've been listening to the audio repeatedly trying to figure it out and the ONLY line I'm certain of "Until your heart gets ripped up" and I'm personally of the opinion that *none* of the other lines are exactly correct... Though I have no idea what is actually being said...
Idk about now but before, Spotify actually had shown the lyrics and they are: I think it’s coming for me answer the phone, I can’t tell you till your all alone. He pulls the strings and makes them ring until your heart turns RED. Then it just repeats
I've listened to this track on Spotify, and for the fourth line it sounds MUCH more like he's saying "Until your heart turns red". Could just be me, but I think that's what it is.
Another great analysis video! Keep it up! Also, at the very end, it sounds like the Jevil laugh when they say something like, "SHARK TO SHARK, I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY"
After the "FIN" came out, I've always heard it as follows: "Fingers coming through the ends of the phone." "The hands'll (hands-will) wait until you're all alone." "It pulls the strings and makes them ring." "Until your heart starts to break up!" I'm pretty far settled into this hearing, because if I'm not just reaching for once and this is supposed to allude to W.D. Gaster, then bringing up "fingers" and "hands" coming through the phone makes perfect sense. I've also always heard "break up" instead of "ripped up", which keeps with the frequent Phone theming as well. Rather than ripped up being not-the-most-related thing in the world. Or I'm just on conspiracy theory crack! Haha. Feel free to publicly execute me for my crimes. edit: I am aware that it says lyrics for "NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO BE A" because Shayy asked the wrong question. There are no words in that song that even have the letter F in them. I'm assuming they knew what he was really asking and answered for Big Shot instead.
Pretty cool theory, I'm just dying for the day Toby or someone else just announces what it really says or someone else somehow perfectly isolates the lines to make it really clear what it is
6:08 I still hear "Until your heart starts to break up" no matter how hard I try. I do like the "ripped up" interpretation because it has an implication towards Kris' soul on a game over and the heart on Spamton NEO looks... well... ripped up. But "breaking up" might also be thematically correct in a way. Entry 17 can be heard when using the cell phone in the dark world, which kind of sounds like a connection "breaking up" over the phone. Speaking of connections, it reminds me of the goner maker segment, when right at the start, some of the first words you see are "Are we connected?" before the heart appears. "Until your heart starts to break up" can be read as a way of severing that connection -- drinking that sweet sweet freedom sauce, in a sense.
I assumed “I can’t explain until you’re all alone” refers to needing to talk to Kris away from the player. They visited Spamton alone from their party in his shop, but still with the player.
Everyone be trying o figure the dialogue of spamton neo’s theme with all that music for like a year, and then the plush just comes out and tramples on everyone’s work
6:55 i never noticed this but you see how he doesn’t have those blush spots, like the ones that PUPPETS have and he starts moving his mouth normally so that means whoever is controlling him let they’re guard down and spamton regained his conciense (i forgot how to spell it) therefore proving that he is a puppet and not having two personalities like some people think
Listening at 0.5 speed, I got: fingers coming from the inside of the phone (spoken like "insideofthe" all at once) a hand is waiting till you're all alone (waiting could be waving? "a hand is waving / waiting till you follow along"?) it pulls at strings to make them ring (key difference being AT and TO are audible more clearly) until your heart "starts to break up" / "can surrender" (spoken either "startsto" all at once, or "can surrendah", I can hear "gets ripped awp" too. they all sound like a little kid speaking) TELL "YOU" WHAT YA- [BIG SHT] (this is super abrupt, and seems to get cut off. even slowed down the distortion gets in the way of the first half) edit: on one more listen, the second to last line could also be: "into your heart ___" or "until your heart turns __ __" it's a long shot but last line could also possibly be "until your heart starts to render". the "ooo" sound is very pronounced, which makes me doubt that 'surrender' is actually what they're saying, since they would need to be saying "soorendah". one more listen and it sounds like "and tell your heart to surrenda", which actually makes quite a bit of sense. "it pull at strings to make them ring and tell your heart to surrender". like tugging at someone's "heartstrings" so they'll give in to you. that seems pretty dang on theme for this game.
I remember seeing somebody suggest in the comments of one of those videos that the first lyrics were actually "Think of something for me, answer the phone" and I think that's more accurate because that's exactly what the person on the phone did for Spamton, think up ideas for him and tell him about what was going to be popular. That's one of the reasons why Spamton has such a hard time once they cut contact, he relied on the caller for all business advice! Him begging for the person (Gaster or whoever) to answer the phone also goes with that, because after the falling out, he'd probably eventually return, hoping to contact that person again to "think of something" for him. Plus, the very first line in the more popular version makes him seem scared of the person on the line, and I don't really see that. Spamton seems to have a lot of feelings about what happened; angry, devastated, [desperate], but not scared. The only time I can think of where he might've seemed scared is when talking/trying to talk about The Knight. IDK, I just feel like Spamton isn't really scared of the caller per say.
i might not have a plush of my own, so i can't say for certain, but i constantly hear "til your heart tends to break up!" at the end of the first line when hearing the audio, even with new plushie recordings of it, but never the less, amazing video, have a good day
3:55 for me, all I hear is “until your heart turns Red” but with more of an emphasis on the D (like its making a “-duh” sound.) Meaning “until you’re heart turns red with determination” because you would need a lot of determination in order to break your own strings. Or you would need someone else to do it for you and set you free (Kris)
I personally count about 8 syllables in the final line, as opposed to the 7 syllables in "until your heart gets ripped up". I interpret the lyrics as being "until your heart tends to break up", but that could still be off.
2 common misconceptions about the lyrics/this video that i've seen and replied to in the comments is 1: people seem to think that the first 3 letters of the lyrics are FIN from spamton replying to a question asking that, but the first 3 letters in the lyrics of big shot are not "FIN" as the question spamton replied to was asking for the lyrics of "NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO BE A" not "BIG SHOT", and of course the lyrics for that one are just "nows your chance to be a big shot" repeated many times, so this was a reference to a meme (i forgot the name of). toby likes to reference memes and it's not hard to imagine toby referencing one meme in a spamton q&a (also not to mention how spamton is unreliable and is literally based off of a spammer on the internet, not everything he says is honest) 2: that the spotify lyrics that appeared momentarily are official. i don't know if you guys know but toby fox did not create the lyrics, the lyrics are generated from musixmatch, aka some verified artists (or in other words, they are generated from interpretations of the lyrics (aka the fandom)) meaning when the lyrics appeared they were basically just unofficial, hence why they were removed. also, knowing toby, he wouldn't just reveal the lyrics on spotify, that's not like toby. he wants it to be a mystery.
Weirdly, I hear "Until your heart can surrender", but I also hear where you're getting "ripped up." To me, I feel like Spamton might've wanted to get Kris "all alone" because he was suspicious of Kris's friends and/or he might've thought someone else (such as Gaster) was watching/listening.
Honestly, i think that the person that Spamton thought was watching/listening in wasn't Gaster but rather the player themself, as that would perfectly parallel Ralsei's "so that's why" statements. Those only occur immediately after sequences where the player perspective is forced away from Kris to follow Susie instead, implying that Ralsei is aware that we are watching and listening, and took advantage of our absence to have a private conversation with Kris while they were "all alone"
Your interpretation of the lyrics is so eerie and I love it. I have no clue how you managed to get all of that. All I managed to hear was, “You’re all alone,” and the word heart. Kudos to you for putting in so much effort for this. Keep up the great work
Well I’m proud of myself for getting close enough to what the lyrics were way before we had even slightly clean audio. And shocked that I don’t think a single person got the “until your heart gets ripped out” part right (including me). I think the lyrics are implying someone pulled Spamton’s metaphorical heart strings (played with his emotions) until his heart was “ripped out” (emotional heartbreak). Which would be leaving him metaphorically heartless, fitting with his behavior in-game, Snowgrave route especially.
5:253:50 Lisen to it this way: "Fingers coming from inside the phone" "A hand is playing until you are all alone" "It pulls the strings and make them ring" "Until your heart gets to break up"
I personally think the lyrics are just retelling Spamton’s story. “A ring coming from inside the phone” - Spamton’s mystery figure that he spent time on phone calls with, that made him successful. “A hand that’s played with you all along” - The mystery figure is making Spamton successful for its own purposes. Most likely to cause him to go insane after it’s ripped away. “It pulls the strings and makes them ring” - Another line about Spamton’s success being due to this mystery figure pulling the strings in the background “Until your heart gets ripped up” - The mystery figure ruins Spamton’s success and happiness (they break/rip his heart emotionally) once they abandon him and leave him back where he started, alone.
I said “think he’s coming for me answer the phone can’t explain till we’re all alone he pulls the strings and make them ring till your heart star- WERE BREAKINgg upp”
I've always thought it was "until your heart starts to break up." That's always what I've heard even since I saw Blade Gunner's version. I can hear what people are talking about when they hear "ripped up" but I think "starts to break up" makes more sense, as spamton calls it a "heart-shaped object," your soul literally "breaks up" whenever you die in undertale or deltarune, the phrase my heart breaks tends to also mean that something is causing someone great sorrow or disappointment at something (maybe spamton missing his friends after his forceful isolation?), and of course, the facts that "breaking up" is something phones do, corrupting the sound going through, making this double as a pun, and also implying that whoever it was pulled Spamton's strings until his connection between him and others "broke up" (maybe his even his connection to the phone guy?) and the implication that he's telling this to Kris makes me wonder if the same thing will happen to THEM through us pulling their strings and making them "break up." Just some thoughts around the "until your heart starts to break up" interpretation!
it is definitely starts to break up, especially considering it ccomes after "it pulls the strings and makes them ring" it seems to imply that once spamton came to the realization that he was essentially living a life where he was a puppet, he experienced heart break and insanity from the realization
Lyrics: I think he's coming for me, Answer the phone. I can't explain until you're all alone. He pulls the strings and makes them ring until your heart starts to rip up. I think he's coming for me, answer the phone. I can't explain until you're all alone. He pulls the strings and pulls the strings and (Dubiously canon) tell me what you BIG SHOT!
Before I watch this video here is my interpretation: I think he’s coming for me answer the phone I can’t explain until your all alone He pulls the strings and makes them ring Until your heart gets ripped out I think he coming for me (I think he’s coming for me) I can’t explain until your all alone Pull the strings and pull the strings and- Do you wanna be a big shot?
Believe it or not, the song got updated in Spotify and it added lyrics when the spamton sweeptakes event was happening. IIRC it was "Think it's coming for me, answer the phone. Can't explatin till you're all alone. It pulls the stings and make it ring Until your heart turns red. Think it's coming for me Think it's coming for me (answer the phone) (answer the phone) Can't explatin till you're all alone. pulls the stings and (make it ring) pulls the stings and- Tell you- what you- Big Shot." But these were later removed once the event was finished.
honestly it’s impossible for me to make any sense of the “think it’s coming for me, answer the phone” interpretation. I stumbled upon one source that said it was “fingers coming from the ends of the phone, the hand is waiting ‘til you’re all alone” and I haven’t been able to hear anything else since. it obviously connects to the hands susie takes note of after the fight, so I think it’s safe to assume the “hand” is our big symbol for whoever’s contacting the secret bosses. I don’t think there’s any mysterious characters connected to hands that we know of tho👽
Its "Fingers coming from inside the phone, a hand that played with you all along" Gaster is known for "Talking in hands" and his "fingers" are pulling Spamton's strings. Gaster has been manipulating the entire plot from behind the scenes and knows that the player is the only one who can change fate.
@@AngraMainiiu Oh dang, probably one of the first people I've seen that has a theory that doesn't have "Till you're all alone" in it. Pretty unique to say the least.
i think he's coming for me answer the phone i cant explain til your all alone it pulls the strings and makes them ring until your heart gets ripped up (second time it plays instead of until your heart gets ripped out its tell you what you [[big shot]])
When Shayy asked in the QnA for the lyrics to Nows Your Chance To Be A, Spamton responded that the first 3 letters were FIN. If this was interpreted as the lyrics to Big Shot, it might be evidence for the first line being something like "Fingers coming from inside the phone".
I always thought the last lyric said "I'll tell you what, you little slime!" Which not only matches a previous line by Spamton, but also sounds like it could be from a commercial.
hello halfbreadchaos! i think i may have found something that might interesting thanks to the robots taking over the world, i have been able to un-bitcrush the voiceline that spamton says and using the isolation for that last part that spamton says, i think this might help a bit to get the lyrics a bit better idk if this'll help though, i'm gonna upload it to youtube in a while
i always thought it went something like FATE IS COMING FOR ME / ANSWER THE PHONE THE HAND THAT PLAYS / (UN)TIL YOU'RE ALL ALONE IT PULLS THE STRINGS / AND MAKES THEM RING UNTIL YOUR HEART GETS RIPPED UP! it makes the most sense to me in relating spamton's condition as a puppet that's trying to escape his fate to kris' condition as a puppet that we can play with (using our hands!) to decide their own fate
What i find interesting is the line "He pulls the strings and makes them ring". While many believe that Gaster is the one, and that he made the world of deltarune, there isn't any proof that supports it, but there are evidences against it like the narrator at chapter 1 calling multiple names "very wonderful" during the vessel creation. My point? Gaster is proven by the gaster followers to be unbelievably intelligent, this could mean that he understands people in deltarune, like Kris and Susie much better just by watching but also understands the player. This makes him one of the most friendly character in the game ever, even after living through alot of pain. What i find interesting is the fact that deltarune is basically undertale but no war occured between humans and monsters, which could make Gaster a more lonely scientist. Now back to the lyrics... "I think he's coming for me" followed by another voice saying "answer the phone". Who is coming for who? We have learned that Mike is basically linked to mic 🎤🎙️. When spamton neo is defeated violently, he says "Mike are you recording?" Being more proof to Mike being a literal microphone recorder 🎤🎙️. Answer the phone might be a line with meaning that spamton has lost contact, being reason he is in dumbster. But how? One of fangamer tweets is spamton doing qna: Q: Spamton, who is Mike? A (not acruate): are you one of the [Cathode's crew?!] You guys know nothing about Mike!!! Nothing!! And that's how it's going to stay!! This might mean that Mike is really a friend of spamton, and that the real "don't trust anything you see on tv! The man's a criminal!" is actually a tv criminal gang named "Cathode's crew" (Imma end this here and now, feel free to ask questions.)
I think it's “It pulls the strings...“ instead of “he pulls the strings...“ because this line is actual flavor text during the fight. Brings an argument to the table, that Knight is behind Spamton's insanity
I would like to say that Seam makes a very clear difference when referring to the Knight and whoever drove Jevil insane, so it’s likely that they’re different entities.
I always thought at 6:09 it was "Until your heart gets RED HOT!" Perhaps burning with determination? But the interpretation of "Ripped up" feels more right U-U
You forgot to mention how Spamton gave us a hint as an answer in the Q&A. I thought it was a big deal when I saw it, so I’m surprised you didn’t mention it here.
I feel dumb for just now realising why spamton has been repeating [Big Shot!] Literally the whole theme of spamton is about being in control so him wanting to be a big shot is like him saying "I want to be in control." big shot is a colloquial term for a person who makes decisions, a person who calls the shots. And me just finally realising it now is like me realising "you are so dumb"
thanks even tho I never knew it existed I kept replying the sentence and the actual thing with the noise and 100 percent heard it it's amazing how people get this done
The Spamton twitter Q&A directly confirmed that the first three letters are FIN, leading to the intepretation of the first line being "Fingers coming from the ends of the phone" which doesn't make much sense until you consider it to mean- the person on the other end of the phone speaks in Wingdings I also think it makes more sense for the last line to be "ripped out" instead of "ripped up" seeing as the player "pulls the strings" on Kris until their soul (heart) gets ripped out
@@MegaSpamziken1996 Tell me where there's anything that remotely sounds like "FIN" in a song where it's only lyrics are "Now's your chance to be a big shot"...
If you remember, in the QnA the first three letters of the lyrics were given: F-I-N So this is my interpretation of the lyrics: _Fingers coming for me, please answer the phone_ _Hands waiting till' you're all alone_ _It pulls the strings, making them ring_ _Until your heart breaks up!_ This song, in my view, is not about Gaster. It's about the player controlling Kris. We are "it", we are the "hands".
"Fingers coming from inside the phone, a hand that played with you all along, he pulls strings to make them ring, until your heart starts breaking up!"
bro I am hearing: "Chained to something from (cuts to the next) answer the phone i can't explain until you bounce and bounce it pulls strings and make it ring until your heart gets riped up " thats what i am hearing if anyone hears the same pls coment
My headcanon about the lyrics was almost exactly the same as yours, except I thought the line was “Until your heart starts ringing up!”, referencing how you would ring up items at a cashier when purchasing them as well as the line “it pulls the strings and makes it ring”.
Spamton's then replied to this tweet with the following:
"[Sucbscrube] TO SPAMTON [Lyrics Jeanist] NOW FOR $3,99! THE FIRST THREE LETTERS ARE [Free]!
F
I
N"
So uh... the thing you need to remember about Spamton is... he's not always... direct or reliable. Like a few tweets later he offers to gibe someone a free antivirus which uhhh he doesn't. (I think???)
At the time, I assumed the joke here was that "FIN" is something you put at the end of like, a movie or a skit.
I will link it if you really need it but first:
CONTENT WARNING SEXUALLY EXPLICIT AS HECK YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED:
ua-cam.com/video/1P4EP5TI574/v-deo.html
I know I tend to be overly cautious about the content warnings, but this is not a joke.
Anyways, uhhh this song does have lyrics, and they do indeed start with "F I N."
To those of you thinking "Fin" stands for "fingers" uhhh you're.... probably right? But not in the way you think.
I'm 90% sure "fingers" are not in the lyrics of the Big Shot theme proper.
If you're wondering why I didn't mention it in the video uhhh I guess I didn't realize so many people trusted Spamton's tweets so much, so it didn't occur to me to cover it. (I wasn't aware of the Asgore-song-thing either so I was lacking information....)
I feel like the mystery of this is better than the actual answer. But I promised I'd explain, so alas, I am bound by my strings.
Hope you feel better soon, God bless

I like how the entire time nearly everyone agreed on "it pulls the strings and makes them ring" being one of the lines and nothing else
Because its a direct quote from Spamton's fight.
It's a flavour text in the fight, so it's one of the things we know for certain.
yeah i never thought that lol
it's also the most clear part
Personally, I have always heard it pulls the strings and makes it ring like 123And4
I love how the entire identity of Mike in the community is completley supported by a single line of dialoge and a TV.
Hell, most interpretations of Mike were created *before* the Spamton Sweepstakes, meaning they didn't even have the dialogue or the TV.
@@milk_choc7889 I think a lot of fan made stuff is based off the smile on the tv at the end of chapter 2
Well there's the shop dialogue but also the Spamton EX dialogue. Then people looked at Jevil's mention of Queen and the gameshow host dialogue as evidence to tie into the Addison backstory, though by now we know the TV wasn't even the same character anyway.
@@milk_choc7889 wrong, spamton talks about Mike in his shop, smth like
"We don't need [friends]! We don't need [MIKE]!
...Mike...

@@mariotheundying Oh, good point, I didn't think there was anything that connected Mike to the TV before the Sweepstakes.
But it doesn't even sound like it
Maybe it wqs deliberately made vauge so that we could hear both bevause both are relevant?
@@ab-qf1iv That is literally impossible.
i also really liked “Tell me what you’re really selling” a lot, it does add some kind of desperate attempt from Spamton to know what he’s getting maybe the man that talked to him on the phone? I don’t know but this phrase sounds a lot more epic in my opinion
it's still kind of audible in the background, but it gets drowned out by spamton shouting [[BIG SHOT]]. maybe this is an audio representation of how spamton's text gets bracketed when he talks about certain things
wow, its actually super cool that a fan was able to isolate the vocals almost perfectly like that. i was totally prepared to call bullshit and say they just recorded it themself, it just seemed too perfect
plot twist toby could have not used the original audio and used one of the fans isolated files to play with the fanbase
theres also the official spamton plush that rarely says the isolated vocals

There's the weird connection between Des, Spamton and guitars. "Pull the strings and make them ring" is how a guitar is played, Noelle comments on the puppet scarf about how it feels like guitar strings, and then there's find her.ogg from the Spamton sweepstakes.
INB4 Deltarune introduces String Theory...
Eitherway, a very interesting video.
i thought he said red hot for some reason
@@zymosan99 lol
Very interesting theory btw
Gaster is the master puppeter who pulls the strings of fate to prove his experiments
Dang, that's a good interpretation!
And as other comments pointed out, Susie makes a comment after the fight that only make sense if we have at least SOME grasp of the lyrics, meaning the trio could hear the song clearly
@@Icalasari oh, that's an interesting observation! It adds up to this whole gripping tension!
I heard kris was shooken up because they too know what it feels like to be a puppet. I just saw it from some random comment
this also reminds me of that scene with ralsei and kris that opens on a convo we couldnt see
6:11 I always heard it as “Until your heart starts breaking up” referring to breaking up on a phone when one’s connection gets interrupted. Both meanings mean the same thing tho so idk how much weight it holds to be one or the other.
I heard it as 'Until your heart starts to break up'
the radio connection thing makes some sense, Ominous Probably Gaster Intro Voice talks about being "connected" right before the soul appears. maybe it has something to do with disrupting the player's connection to kris? that would be in line with some of the other stuff he says ("heart on a chain" and so forth)
I always heard something like that as well, I've really tried hearing other suggestions but the number of syllables here just feel like the match the best
I heard it as "Can't tell you how much it's ringing"😭😭
I heard that as well!
I still find it funny that when we got the Spamton plush, one of the first things people did was try to figure out what the lyrics were from the voicelines since it was finally isolated from the rest of the track
"It pulls the strings and makes them ring" is directly quoted in the Spamton NEO battle flavor text, so I strongly believe he's saying that instead.

@@ivythay4259 Oh wow, I thought for so long it was "He" and not "It". But that just makes things more confusing...
Ooh this is a really good point!
Yeah it really sounds like it! He does not want to talk to Kris without his friends! But rather without US
Also, snowgrave Kris probably doesn't want the player anywhere near Noelle or Susie.
@@watchfulwanderer6443 Oh, that's a good point. Snowgrave Noelle hundreds of feet in the air with Susie, no witnesses except for the voice, & plenty of excuses for Susie to suddenly go missing?
@@D_YellowMadness Especially since, unlike normal, snowgrave Noelle can be influenced by the player directly.
If you care at all:
The cleanest way to isolate audio tracks is to make a 1-to-1 reproduction of the track and invert the wavelengths.
It's more "Fingers coming from inside the phone, a hand that played with you all along"
Because it's "FIN- nk it's coming for me answer the phone"
Also was it comfirmed in Q&A?
i find it funny that people took spamtons answer seriously when the vast majority of his replies were garbage. FIN is most definitely referring to fingers, but not in the way you think.
toby loves meme references, and there's a pretty popular edit of asgore's theme on the internet involving fingers.
@@deadlyadder2330 what is it called?
“It pulls the strings and makes them ring” totally reminds me of Dess, and the fact that her page on the Deltarune website is a red guitar adds more credibility to the theory that she pulls spamton’s and possibly others’ “strings”

(I've also seen "Fingers coming for me, answer the phone")
Personally I hear "Fingers coming from inside the phone/A hand that waits until you're all alone/It pulls the strings and makes them ring/Until your heart starts to break up!" With the last part being a pun about how a phone connection can "break up" like how the voice at the end of the phone became garbage noise for Spamton.
THE QUESTION WAS ABOUT THE LYRICS IN ["Now's your chance to be a"]
"Fingers coming for me."
Fingers in hi-
I wonder if "I can't explain til' you're all alone" was a reference to how we couldn't really hear the whole thing until the plush came out, like the player couldn't understand the message until they're no longer listening through Kris.

I Don't think spamton will even be mentioned in future chapters because jevil didn't get mentioned in chapter 3
@@MossySRB2 I think that a certain salesman had something to say about that [CLOWN AROUND TOWN]

Really well documented! Just like the rest if the community I was trying to figure out what the lyrics in BIG SHOT are hiding and Gunner's video helpd a lot. It's still hard to grasp what spamton means but at least we have a generally accepted version
I'm wondering what other types of voice/lyrics the future secret bosses will provide. Jevil uses several sentences, Spamton has lyrics in the music, I don't really know how much more variety is left
A funny way would be to have one secret boss fully voice acted EXCEPT when in battle. That would be hilarious
I highly contest the "accepted" lyrics, no one is solving the "FIN" problem when it can easily fit as "Fingers coming from inside the phone, a hand that played with you all along"

"DON'T YOU WANNA BE A BIG SHOT?".

I think the 4th line is “until your heart starts to break up”, you can hear the “to” quite clearly in the official isolation, and it’s something the fanmade ones never managed to capture.
nope. too many syllables. nice try though.
I always interpreted the lines as this,
“I think they’re coming for me, answer the phone. I can’t explain till you’re all alone. It pulls the strings and makes them ring, till your heart starts to break [up].” Then the final changed line is “Tell you what you big shot.”
Even still there are a lot of interpretations of specific lines but now we can safely say that most of the lyrics and general statement are able to be understood.
Nope, its more like "Fingers coming from inside the phone, a hand that played with you all along" from the "FIN" tweet hint.

i might be reading a little deep into it (though that seems to be what we do here anyways :P) but i think these lines are more of spamton telling us about his past. specifically, the voice he heard through the phone. it also builds on the idea that spamton isolating kris was a tactic used on him by whatever voice was "coming from the ends of the phone".
It's worth noting that one of the flavor texts during the battle with spamton NEO is "* It pulls the strings and makes them ring," which basically confirms that line.
Great video as always.
Personally i was always under the impression that the spamton lyrics said:
“Fingers coming from the inside of the phone,
A hand that’s waiting till’ you’re all alone,
It pulls strings, it makes them ring,
Until your heart gets ripped up”
I always thought this was the line for the longest time because of how during Susie’s dialogue after the NEO fight she says:
“*Puppets… strings… hands…
*What the hell does any of that mean?
*And the way he just, broke….”
And that line from susie never really made any sense otherwise, considering there’s nothing else in the NEO fight that really references hands at all
But then more recently the Spamton Sweepstakes “FIN” thing kinda confirmed it in my mind for me.
Since the cut attack(s) with hands were removed in the final game (though ofc that isn't dialogue), all we have within the fight itself is Spamton's unskippable dialogue about turning his hands into phones, which, well he does but they kinda stop being relevant as hands at that point.
the "FIN" thing spamton responded to was to NYCTBA (nows your chance to be a) and it was a meme, literally nothing to do with big shot
Then it just repeats
theres def "YOU'RE BREAKING UP" as a second voice when he says "your heart gets ripped up"
I've listened to this track on Spotify, and for the fourth line it sounds MUCH more like he's saying "Until your heart turns red". Could just be me, but I think that's what it is.
Another great analysis video! Keep it up! Also, at the very end, it sounds like the Jevil laugh when they say something like, "SHARK TO SHARK, I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY"
After the "FIN" came out, I've always heard it as follows:
"Fingers coming through the ends of the phone."
"The hands'll (hands-will) wait until you're all alone."
"It pulls the strings and makes them ring."
"Until your heart starts to break up!"
I'm pretty far settled into this hearing, because if I'm not just reaching for once and this is supposed to allude to W.D.
I'm assuming they knew what he was really asking and answered for Big Shot instead.
yes I am also a hands truther bc of the “fin” thing
The FIN is for the first three letters of FINDHER, which is prominent in the sweepstakes.
@@bubbleslovely129 yeah true but it could also be FINgers coming from inside the phone
Pretty cool theory, I'm just dying for the day Toby or someone else just announces what it really says or someone else somehow perfectly isolates the lines to make it really clear what it is
Fingers coming from the inside of the phone
Listening at 0.5 speed, I got:
fingers coming from the inside of the phone (spoken like "insideofthe" all at once)
a hand is waiting till you're all alone (waiting could be waving? "a hand is waving / waiting till you follow along"?)
it pulls at strings to make them ring (key difference being AT and TO are audible more clearly)
until your heart "starts to break up" / "can surrender" (spoken either "startsto" all at once, or "can surrendah", I can hear "gets ripped awp" too. they all sound like a little kid speaking)
TELL "YOU" WHAT YA- [BIG SHT] (this is super abrupt, and seems to get cut off. even slowed down the distortion gets in the way of the first half)
edit: on one more listen, the second to last line could also be: "into your heart ___" or "until your heart turns __ __"
it's a long shot but last line could also possibly be "until your heart starts to render". the "ooo" sound is very pronounced, which makes me doubt that 'surrender' is actually what they're saying, since they would need to be saying "soorendah".
one more listen and it sounds like "and tell your heart to surrenda", which actually makes quite a bit of sense.
I've always heard the last bit as "Don't you want to be a big shot?"
1:01 All my life I thought those were just random sounds
i might not have a plush of my own, so i can't say for certain, but i constantly hear "til your heart tends to break up!" at the end of the first line when hearing the audio, even with new plushie recordings of it, but never the less, amazing video, have a good day
3:55 for me, all I hear is “until your heart turns Red” but with more of an emphasis on the D (like its making a “-duh” sound.) Meaning “until you’re heart turns red with determination” because you would need a lot of determination in order to break your own strings. Or you would need someone else to do it for you and set you free (Kris)
I'm so glad I finally have a solid understanding of what those lyrics say. Thank you!
I personally count about 8 syllables in the final line, as opposed to the 7 syllables in "until your heart gets ripped up". I interpret the lyrics as being "until your heart tends to break up", but that could still be off.
"Until your heart starts breaking up"
2 common misconceptions about the lyrics/this video that i've seen and replied to in the comments is
1: people seem to think that the first 3 letters of the lyrics are FIN from spamton replying to a question asking that, but the first 3 letters in the lyrics of big shot are not "FIN" as the question spamton replied to was asking for the lyrics of "NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO BE A" not "BIG SHOT", and of course the lyrics for that one are just "nows your chance to be a big shot" repeated many times, so this was a reference to a meme (i forgot the name of). toby likes to reference memes and it's not hard to imagine toby referencing one meme in a spamton q&a (also not to mention how spamton is unreliable and is literally based off of a spammer on the internet, not everything he says is honest)
2: that the spotify lyrics that appeared momentarily are official. i don't know if you guys know but toby fox did not create the lyrics, the lyrics are generated from musixmatch, aka some verified artists (or in other words, they are generated from interpretations of the lyrics (aka the fandom)) meaning when the lyrics appeared they were basically just unofficial, hence why they were removed. also, knowing toby, he wouldn't just reveal the lyrics on spotify, that's not like toby. he wants it to be a mystery.
Weirdly, I hear "Until your heart can surrender", but I also hear where you're getting "ripped up."
To me, I feel like Spamton might've wanted to get Kris "all alone" because he was suspicious of Kris's friends and/or he might've thought someone else (such as Gaster) was watching/listening.
Keep up the great work
6:45 how has no one talked about how this image is a magic eye if you look at it the right way you can see a image
one of the lines in the dialogue box is “It pulls the strings and makes them ring”
so yeah thats def correct
Well I’m proud of myself for getting close enough to what the lyrics were way before we had even slightly clean audio.
And shocked that I don’t think a single person got the “until your heart gets ripped out” part right (including me).
I think the lyrics are implying someone pulled Spamton’s metaphorical heart strings (played with his emotions) until his heart was “ripped out” (emotional heartbreak). Which would be leaving him metaphorically heartless, fitting with his behavior in-game, Snowgrave route especially.
for some reason I thought it was "Wanna get your heart broken?" even though that makes like 0 sense
Howdy! Will love to hear your take on this
5:25 3:50
Lisen to it this way:
"Fingers coming from inside the phone"
"A hand is playing until you are all alone"
"It pulls the strings and make them ring"
"Until your heart gets to break up"
To me "A hand that played with you all along" is a more interesting take as it implies that Gaster is a puppetmaster of fate
“It pulls the strings and makes them ring” - Another line about Spamton’s success being due to this mystery figure pulling the strings in the background
“Until your heart gets ripped up” - The mystery figure ruins Spamton’s success and happiness (they break/rip his heart emotionally) once they abandon him and leave him back where he started, alone.
I said “think he’s coming for me answer the phone can’t explain till we’re all alone he pulls the strings and make them ring till your heart star- WERE BREAKINgg upp”
Spamton on the twitter's Q&A that the lyrics start whit the letters "F I N"
yup man this is the video ive always wanted in my entire life. thank you so much. this video has changed my life. this is not a joke. Please
People unfortunately love parroting what they see instead of actually thinking it through...
it is definitely starts to break up, especially considering it ccomes after "it pulls the strings and makes them ring" it seems to imply that once spamton came to the realization that he was essentially living a life where he was a puppet, he experienced heart break and insanity from the realization
Lyrics:
I think he's coming for me,
Answer the phone.
I can't explain until you're all alone.
He pulls the strings and makes them ring until your heart starts to rip up.
I think he's coming for me,
answer the phone.
I can't explain until you're all alone.
He pulls the strings
and pulls the strings and
(Dubiously canon) tell me what you BIG SHOT!
Before I watch this video here is my interpretation:
I think he’s coming for me answer the phone
I can’t explain until your all alone
He pulls the strings and makes them ring
Until your heart gets ripped out
I think he coming for me (I think he’s coming for me) I can’t explain until your all alone
Pull the strings and pull the strings and-
Do you wanna be a big shot?
The spamton twitter responses say that the first line starts with "fin", which leads to "fingers coming for me"

IIRC it was
"Think it's coming for me, answer the phone.

It pulls the stings and make it ring
Until your heart turns red.
Think it's coming for me
Think it's coming for me

(make it ring)
pulls the stings and-
Tell you- what you- Big Shot."
But these were later removed once the event was finished.
that's interesting. can spotify lyrics be updated by anyone, or only the creator of the song?
honestly it’s impossible for me to make any sense of the “think it’s coming for me, answer the phone” interpretation.

When Shayy asked in the QnA for the lyrics to Nows Your Chance To Be A, Spamton responded that the first 3 letters were FIN. If this was interpreted as the lyrics to Big Shot, it might be evidence for the first line being something like "Fingers coming from inside the phone".
yes but these were responses to NYCTBA not big shot

idk if this'll help though, i'm gonna upload it to youtube in a while

i always thought it went something like
FATE IS COMING FOR ME / ANSWER THE PHONE
THE HAND THAT PLAYS / (UN)TIL YOU'RE ALL ALONE
IT PULLS THE STRINGS / AND MAKES THEM RING
UNTIL YOUR HEART GETS RIPPED UP!
it makes the most sense to me in relating spamton's condition as a puppet that's trying to escape his fate to kris' condition as a puppet that we can play with (using our hands!) to decide their own fate
Oh. I've watched a video about this same topic just today.
But how? One of fangamer tweets is spamton doing qna:
Q: Spamton, who is Mike?
A (not acruate): are you one of the [Cathode's crew?!] You guys know nothing about Mike!!! Nothing!! And that's how it's going to stay!!
This might mean that Mike is really a friend of spamton, and that the real "don't trust anything you see on tv! The man's a criminal!" is actually a tv criminal gang named "Cathode's crew"
(Imma end this here and now, feel free to ask questions.)
@@ic0nic707 I guess... To be fair we don't know who that line is about

the "FIN" thing spamton responded to was to NYCTBA (nows your chance to be a) and it was a meme, literally nothing to do with big shot
@@rarewubbox6413-.-I read The pin Tweed but never bothered to update my comment. Think anyway.
3:50 my spamton plush started to say that and it scared the shit out of me
I feel dumb for just now realising why spamton has been repeating [Big Shot!]
Literally the whole theme of spamton is about being in control so him wanting to be a big shot is like him saying "I want to be in control." big shot is a colloquial term for a person who makes decisions, a person who calls the shots.
And me just finally realising it now is like me realising "you are so dumb"
thanks even tho I never knew it existed I kept replying the sentence and the actual thing with the noise and 100 percent heard it it's amazing how people get this done
The Spamton twitter Q&A directly confirmed that the first three letters are FIN, leading to the intepretation of the first line being "Fingers coming from the ends of the phone" which doesn't make much sense until you consider it to mean- the person on the other end of the phone speaks in Wingdings
I also think it makes more sense for the last line to be "ripped out" instead of "ripped up" seeing as the player "pulls the strings" on Kris until their soul (heart) gets ripped out
The Q&A question was about "Now's your chance to be a" lyrics
F I N might have also been meant to be part of "Find Her", which was in the sweepstakes too, rather than actual lyrics confirmation
Both make sense, the player pulls the strings until either happen.
@@MegaSpamziken1996 Tell me where there's anything that remotely sounds like "FIN" in a song where it's only lyrics are "Now's your chance to be a big shot"...
@@AngraMainiiu exactly, it was a reference to a meme, toby likes doing that

I always heard the third line as "It pulls the strings and you make them ring." The plush dialogue pretty much confirms that for me.
If you remember, in the QnA the first three letters of the lyrics were given: F-I-N
So this is my interpretation of the lyrics:
_Fingers coming for me, please answer the phone_
_Hands waiting till' you're all alone_
_It pulls the strings, making them ring_
_Until your heart breaks up!_
This song, in my view, is not about Gaster. It's about the player controlling Kris. We are "it", we are the "hands".
