    Hi Justin,
Southwest Mushrooms uses a ribbon blender to mix soybean hulls and wood pellets with water before bagging. Do you think there’s an added benefit to taking the extra step of crushing the wood pellets into a fine powder and ensuring everything is evenly mixed? It seems like a lot more work compared to your setup.
I’ve seen your method used frequently and wonder if it might yield fewer mushrooms during the fruiting process. Is there a specific reason you don’t blend the soy hulls and wood pellets into a fine powder or hydrate and mix them more thoroughly before bagging and sterilizing?
I realize Southwest Mushrooms uses an industrial ribbon blender, which takes up space and time. Do you think this method provides significant advantages, or is the difference negligible?
Also during the sterilisation/pasteurisation process, I noticed you were doing that outside. Could you tell me if there is a significant smell involved in this process?
I saw another UA-camr a few years ago that got shut down because the smell kept bothering her neighbours in a retail space.
