    I hope you're still making videos...I like that you explain camp set up and not wasting time. real usage vs a product review.

      "On set" now at Pikes Peak International Hillclimb! Hoping to have this video out tuesday and a camping trip this upcoming weekend! Life got in the way and I was stuck with adulting for a few weeks there. Thanks for the encouragement, I do hope to get back into the routine asap!

    The dispersed campsites off RD 550 in Buffalo Creek are great. Plenty of choices! The awning looks great, we're in the process of getting an overlanding setup together and have wondered about awnings for a kitchen, bug, sun and rain shelter setup with our Subaru Crosstrek. The Buddy Heater is definitely tempting for fall, early spring and winter.

      Scratch the buddy heater idea and go ahead and put together a portable diesel heater. The Mr.Buddy is temperamental and creates a ton of condensation. The chinese diesel heaters are more efficient and cleaner burning from what I understand.
      Its a beautiful area for sure! Close to home, so its just easy to camp here with little preparation.
      I love my awnings, this brand is more affordable than some others and seems really durable. No complaints, and they are easy to setup for sure.

      @@JChurchua Thanks for the heads up. Would probably just use a heater in the mornings to counter the chill while waking up.

      Just thought about it, watched the stealth camp in Castle Rock, add the step two with the Buddy Heater... we're thinking, Camping With Steve! 😎

    Tip for ya when setting up your awning. Don't extend the vertical poles very high before attaching the horizontal poles. The horizontal poles tend to droop pretty good as they hang off the car side until you attach them to the other end. You can go back and adjust the vertical poles afterward. It just makes reaching for things much much easier.

      Ive actually found it easier to attach the horizontals before the verticles. I'll give what you say a shot next time. My latest venture out with the awning was far too windy and I shouldnt of even setup but its all a learning experience!
      thanks for the comment and suggestion! hope ya stick around for my of my adventures!

      @@JChurchua so this is an Ironman awning with an arb tent ?

    • @JChurchua
      @JChurchua  2 роки тому

      @@needsofnavy5586 Its all Ironman, awnings and tent. Ive had no quality issues and have enjoyed the product. the is very similar to the ARB, but the awnings fabric is a little thinner on the ironman, still robust/durable. I imagine the ARB tent is thicker/more durable too but ive never seen one up close.

    • @JChurchua
      @JChurchua  2 роки тому +1

      That is such a tough question. Must have would be warm weather clothes just in case! But, equipment wise; A good chair and a good shelter is all you need really! Sorry I missed this comment for so long..

    ARB and Ironman are different companies. Your ÄRB awning room is labeled Ironman. That makes less sense than Chrysler F-350 Z-71 hatchback...

    • @JChurchua
      @JChurchua  Рік тому

      Think of it more as a Mazda B2200...
      So, ARB is a more known company than Ironman. Practically the same product, slightly different quality differences. The concept is, its close enough. Thanks for your comment, glad your only issue is that I mislabeled the brand on an identicle product. 👍 (ARB room and Ironman room are interchangable, either one will work with either one's awning-swappable)
