The normal Sabre is my favorite fighter, because nostalgia! It looks so much like fighters from anime I grew up on, such as Macross (Robotech, in the west) that were always heavily influenced by the F-14 Tomcat. I have a Sabre and Sabre Comet. I believe my fiance has an original Raven. After the nerf of the Sabre shields, long ago, nobody used Sabres anymore. I NEVER see them being used in gameplay videos, sadly.
I'm not too happy about this, just because they made my beloved Sabre, obsolete.

yes you can fly it
I have really mixed feeling about it... looks better than the Raven, but the regular Sabre still's the best one (looks wise, at least)

Unless it's got a hidden trick or 2 that we can't tell from this, all it's got is that it looks good & that won't win a fight.
It’s a missle boat, carries 12 missles and fires 6 at a time. It’s stealthy too.
@@davidforinash2950 , it launches 6x S3 missiles at a time? I hope that it can target multiple ships to launch them at or it'll be nearly helpless after a pair of volleys.

Only reason to get this if you can put a EMP module instead, otherwise Talon Shrike is better lol

The missiles are above average for even heavy fighters but missiles are pretty weak in game. Guns are starter ship level. So yeah, likely to be pretty mid unless it has some wild agility or hp..
Sometimes old missile bugs come up where you can flare them, more testing to be done today
that firebird base texture must be bugged, looked awful, looks plastic
It could be the upscaling making things look weird
Should have just updated the existing sabre and left the raven alone
i believe intel owns the rights to the original raven
3:28 - It looks so... plastic. Like a low texture model of a ship that is too smooth. Makes me think that it's just going to be an NPC ship that you only see from a distance

It's mid. Doesn't even look particularly good with that paint. Raven is still king here. Ill be interested to see it in action, but pretty sure my wallet is safe on this one.
yeah i feel it
