- The new Deadpool & Wolverine Super Bowl teaser has already become the most watched trailer of all time, surpassing Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the promise to bring together characters from the Fox X-Men/Fantastic Four Universe, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and heralding the return of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine despite his death in Logan there's already signs this could reinvigorate things over at Disney and Marvel. At the moment things couldn't be looking any better for Deadpool 3, but nothing is gaurenteed at the moment with comic book movies. What will "save" marvel is just consistent good movies in a row not just one movie.
They also need to just *slow down*. I cared so much about the MCU, but then I didn't like Wandavision, failed to get through it, and - because I cared - I never watched the rest of the shows or even the movies, because they are connected. I didn't like one single - relatively short - show, and now I'm completely out of the MCU.
People have a limited amount of time in their lives, and few are going to wade through several hours of boring crap in order to watch other boring crap.. 🤷🏼♀️

@@mutalemwananshiku4098 I didn't set out to do that. I wanted to watch all the things in the intended watch order. I heard that things that happen in Wandavision affect the rest of the MCU, so I didn't want to watch other stuff until I'd watched Wandavision - for both spoiler and comprehension reasons. But I really didn't like WV, so I never got around to watching it. And here we are 🤷🏼♀️
I still want to watch it all properly, but I would have to dedicate so much time on all the shows now, and I want to do other things in my life.
I watched Guardians 3 anyway, a few months ago, but I haven't watched the D+ Christmas special, so many things just didn't make sense.
I just feel like I'm missing too much context to properly enjoy these things, and if I'm not going to properly enjoy it, I might as well spend my time elsewhere.

I was convinced that wolverine would actually just BE hugh jackman, with deadpool convinced that he has powers, but is really just a regular guy. The whole movie deadpool would just be dragging him into horrible situations, yelling at him to use his claws, but hes just an actor

From my source there is a sex scene between Hugh and Blake Lively, they are real people in the MCU and they are married. Deadpool comes in looking for Wolverine, kills Hugh Jackman thinking he is Wolverine and then moves on to find the next 'variant'.
i remember reading the same somewhere else, however the ending would be regular Hugh Jackman dressed up as Wolverine saving a kidnapped Deadpool doing his best to pretend he has superpowers to scare the villians away

I felt like Ryan reynolds made Deadpool 1 and 2 because he wanted to watch them, and that’s like the absolute best creative vision you can have for a fan movie
And the execs thought it was worthless, so they gave it a low budget and didn't get involved. Also it was *just* before the box-ticking requirements started

People liked Galaxy 3 because it was good.
People were disappointed with the rest because they were not as good.
It's not rocket science. If Deadpool 3 is good, people will like it. If it's not, they'll complain. Case closed.
@@andrewrabon Galaxy is the proof, it was an okay movie but it gets lifted as some great thing because the people who put down everything actually shut up, because they have aligned themselves into the idea that GotG is not mainstream and therefore edgy cool, so all they complain about usually, they shut up about and amazingly allowed themselves to enjoy a movie.

Making this their one and only flick this year was a smart move especially with Sony possibly hurting the genre even more with Madame Webb and Kraven.
Look I get what you're saying but let's not give disney or any of these hollywood execs too much credit, the mcu/marvel studios release schedule was just way too insane, to the point that they started shooting before the script is complete and the vfx artist are crunched to hell, I hope they learn from the marvels flopping, but I'm not even sure that'd be the case
I think it was their only move. Marvel’s whole slate got pushed back because of the strikes last year

This adaptation doesn’t do Mooper Mowl & James’s relationship justice, the original source material (the podcast) shines during the 40 minutes of counseling James offers Mooper when he realizes his name is spelt wrong.

The subtitles on the official video did indicate that Matthew MacFadyen's character is indeed Paradox.
I definitely think that the major difference between a Ryan Reynolds vs the Rock is that Ryan doesn't have a clause against his own character losing or looking bad whereas the Rock's ego won't allow for it
Overall, I think if Disney keeps up this pace of fewer movies with a focus on quality, the thing they were founded on, then DP&W might be the start of an MCU renaissance
I think we will be able to tell if they were able to right the ship based on if they plan to go forward with projects like Agatha and Ironheart or if they pivot to focusing on storylines that help to connect all the existing & newly intro characters

It'll be very interesting to see the limits of Deadpool's fourth wall breaking omnipotence and whether or how it impacts the knowledge that he actually has at his disposal to help him solve the plot of the story. For instance, when he responds with, I am marvel, Jesus, how will paradox react? Will Deadpool be informed of or even reference Kang in anyway during his time interacting with the TVA? Would he make a Jonathan Majors joke? Would any of that real world meta knowledge actually be incorporated into how he solves the plot? Only time will tail.

I'm looking forward to this one. Now, I hope this won't be another multiverse of madness situation where so and so appear just to kill them off. Like, I don't wanna see all the Fox characters show up just to die in silly and disrespectful ways. I actually want to see all these characters done right and given the respect that they deserve.

I think that was a great question to ask: will this movie be the epitome of what Deadpool could be conceptually in terms of its meta-contextuality within the scope of the marvel cinematic universe and its impact on pop culture, somewhat like the into the spider verse series? or will it more so be a string of surface level jokes and references to previous marvel IP that is barely held together by some semblance of a functional plot, more similar to Spider-Man no way home? Time will tell and like both options, we’ll be seated either way, but I really do hope that they pull this off because honestly they really need a win. Either way I can't wait for the succession references, lol

I do have more faith in Deadpool over alot of the other Marvel shows/movies the past few years, purely because I do think Ryan has done well with the past 2 Deadpool movies. I don't know if it can save the MCU, but that's more because it will take more than one good movie to save the MCU. Frankly a year with only one movie is what they need - time to sit back and truly think about where the franchise is going next and getting their ducks in a row. Trying to push out like 6 projects a year the past few years has been a mess, especially with COVID causing alot of problems with completing those projects properly. Hopefully a bit of refocusing and rebranding will lead to better MCU shows and movies in 2025.

I feel like this is going to be another Mandalorian season 3. Where it started out awesome because Disney didn’t really care about or knew how popular it would become, but then realized how popular it was and wanted more control, and will inevitably make it worse with because of more control; more tie in’s and references and bad writing.

I think all that stuff with the fox logo wasteland thing is the end of time from the loki series. At the end of season 1 when loki is pruned it takes them to the end of time to be eaten by that big cloud monster. Which you can see part of the monster in the trailer. So i think that the fox logo, wolveriene and things like that were all pruned and sent there.
I know it's not a big deal, but I think it's hilarious that Shatterstar's hair is now in a "safe" braid.

It’s gonna be a NWH situation, just like how that saved phase 5 or whatever phase it was in and kept it afloat, DPaW is gonna be similar considering it’s being marketed as an event film. Disney will have some goodwill after this but considering nothing else they have lined up seems like it’ll be able to carry the momentum
