From what I gathered, Disney shamelessly wanted to include their Phase 4 & 5 failures into DP3? RR told them to go pound sand, or he walks. He built this franchise from the ground up, and doesn’t want failures such as Miss Marvel She-Hulk, Echo or Agatha piggybacking onto this franchise, since they don’t have audience of their own. If true, good on him, cause without RR….there is NO Deadpool!
All our fav Avengers are gone or turned into lesser forms (Thor & Hulk). Deadpool 3 has potential to be good, but i don't see how it fixes all the current problems with MCU? This is a Swan Song for the Fox Marvel projects, thats how i'm going into it.
Of course it can't. Nothing can short of retconning the last fews movies/shows and bringing back most of the old cast/hiring proper writers. Or taking a multi-year break, rebooting and building from the ground up
"The sound of a company shitting itself" nicely said Cynic. This movie is a band aid over the sucking chest wound that is the current MCU. I used to be a huge fan, but I'm only mildly interested in this s obvious member berry bait. I think your panel's BO predictions are pretty fair. Guess we'll wait and see, cheers.
As a kid in the 70's who loved Marvel superhero comics I knew they were all inter related but I never bothered to try and keep up with them all, I couldn't even if I tried since I was a kid with limited resources cheap as comics were back then (a quarter each!!!!) and so I dipped in and out of the stories that featured my favorite characters , Spiderman, Hulk, Avengers, etc... often out of sequence and sporadically and they were always a lot of fun never knowing the full over all story and enjoying the adventurous moments at hand trying to piece it all together in my little mind. When I got older and began following it all much closer much of the mysterious fun evaporated, too much of a "good thing" maybe and it all became a big bore. The "cinematic universe has at least replicated that experience for me.
The second I saw the TVA's appearance, my mind automatically went to "dead on arrival". I have never seen any of the Loki or Disney Plus series for the simple reason that I just don't have Disney Plus and don't intend to get it, so for the TVA to be here means that they expect the audience to have watched Loki to know what the TVA is, which I don't even know except that they're an organization that exists "outside the multiverse" or something. Yes, this was kind of an issue during the Golden Age of Marvel. To watch Avengers 1, you needed to have watched Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, but the films were both accessible to everyone during the theater release AND through home media like DVDs and Blu-Rays. I dont know if Loki is on Blu-Ray, it might be, but it still doesnt take away from the fact that it was primarily locked behind Disney's walled garden. I might be dramatic with saying it's dead on arrival, but what made the Deadpool movies special was that they were their own titles, and this was them taking it and putting it in with the other LEGO pieces that make up the MCU, so it's no longer its own thing like how Joker 2019 isnt part of any continuity.
It's gonna be super nerfed , Reynolds has become super woke lately , not to mention taylor swift is bringing her fans with her so you know damn well they're going to play it as safe as possible to avoided offending that demographic
As a long time Marvel fan, and someone also disappointed with most of the recent MCU films... I'm excited for 'Deadpool 3' but also excited to see that character stepping into the MCU.
Super hero fatigue plays a huge part, especially since Hollywood keeps farting out bad ones. Deadpool, Wolverine, Batman, and Spider-Man are all that's left that the majority of people will still go out to see. Even if Deadpool 3 were to "reboot" the whole MCU, Disney will still mess it up with their terrible activist writers and lack of passion/respect for the source materials and the fans.
The movie is going to suck the moment that becomes ""Loki s3 propaganda""", i dont care the MCU references but making a plot to drop the xmen is going to suck like THE MARVELS dropping Beast, not by the plot just by using a movie to promote other movies
I agree that Deadpool & Wolverine won't save the MCU BUT This movie can and WILL bring people back to Marvel movies and cinemas and even potentially give them faith into the MCU. So, if people who are responsible for Marvel movies and shows will keep making actually good projects instead of whatever phase 4 and 5 were, then we can honestly say that MCU is saved. But for now, let's hope that we'll at least get a good Deadpool movie!
This movie will at most give Disney a "i will try the next movie" card for some people if it's good. I am glad i haven't watched anything except Spiderman since Eternals, because Eternals made me fall effin asleep.
i can’t believe the whole “marvel/star wars/disney sucks” bit is still interesting to some people. i think this channel could actually be more than that.
Just seeing the TVA in the trailer made me less hyped for this. And I’ve been counting the damn days til it’s released. I was enjoying the trailer and the second I noticed the TVA, I thought of the MCU, which triggered an instant dislike, and I immediately lost so much of my excitement. It was so bizarre... I didn’t even think about it, it was just literally an immediate feeling.
The deadpool movies were always kind of their own thing to the side of the big marvel universe, and that's kind of what makes them special. Definitely the first marvel movie I will watch in years.
I’m conflicted about supporting this movie because Marvel is a such two faced bastard. They were so focused on the MCU that they discarded X-Men and Fantastic Four characters across various games such as Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite resulting in an apparent death of such a legendary series because of petty movie politics Now they’re overly relying on X-Men to save their MCU
Regardless of this movie being good or not... am I fuck paying to see it Disney & Marvel need to do a fuck ton more than "Nostalgia" to earn my money again. It's a pirate life for me.
I have enough of Marvel as of late. If they want to make shit right - they need to somehow reset the timeline (what was hinted at in the Deadpool and Wolverine leaks), add Spider-Man to the fold, let him join the X-Men for a trilogy. Then sprinkle it with some OG Blade (maybe a darker - vampire plotline or something - to make it different) and bring NEW COOL CHARACTERS. Leave Avengers alone and just make it exciting again. We don't need to reheat an old meal here.
Deadpool 3 might save the MCU but they have to stop tv series like she hulk secret invasion etc...What we need is a good movie like deadpool 3 to make us excited for the next MCU future.
@MasterGordon5115 It'll wipe out everything they've done from the beginning of the MCU and start clean. Now, it may be a soft reboot, meaning some things from before might cross over, but essentially, it's a way to get EVERYONE back in the Marvel Universe. So they could have a new Iron Man, new Cap, new Black Panther, etc, as well as having ALL the new MCU X-MEN and Fantastic Four, and a fresh Avengers line up. It's a way for them to do everything they've never been able to do because of rights. Endgame was just a small glimpse. People truly have no idea what's coming, and if they can pull it off, we will have a Marvel Cinematic Universe that much more closely resembles the Marvel Comic Universe, with all our favorite heroes fighting together.
QUESTION: Why is the TVA ran by humans and still successful when most of them are just humans with zap sticks? This is supposed to be an organization that can control time and all beings in every universe which is very hard to believe. Are you telling me characters and variants of characters like Thanos, Ebony Maw, Thor, Doctor Strange, Ego (Quill’s dad) or Hulk couldn’t handle a group of humans with sticks? I highly doubt that. Anyway, you know things at Disney are bad when the only parts of the Deadpool trailer fans dread were the parts connected to the MCU. Everything Disney touches these days implodes so I’m just concerned because I want to love this movie. As always, I agree with your take, Movie Cynic.
It's more MCU fatigue than anything else. I'm honestly sick of multiverses and marvel formulaic humor. Deadpool and Spiderman are still huge because they are bigger icons than Marvel itself as a brand. Them being attached to the tired MCU just feels like a downgrade.
@@tylere.8436 I agree. But that multiverse crap we are tired of is because they way WAY overused in an attempt to seem complex while just showing how poor their writing is these days.
The best way to save the MCU is to stop oversaturating the market with material. Deadpool is a novelty character....not for everyone. The Avengers are done, Ironman is retired as Robert Downey Jr. has retired from the role. You did it perfectly, don't recast him. Thor is the next outlet as Chris Hemsworth is very young, cast a Silver Surfer and have at it against anyone in the villian context (preferably Mephisto or one of those higher intergalactic all powerful beings....I dunno Marvel has got about 40 of them.). X-Men are infinite. And you still haven't tapped into X-Force or X-Factor....plenty of time, quit rushing bad movies and focus on better writing.😎
I could care SOOO Little either way.. I've NEVER liked the Wade Wilson version of the Deadpool character so none of his movies hold any weight for me and in fact find the first one felt very formulaic and generic and the second film grotesquely homo erotic with all the innuendos and open ayG jokes littered in it.... those films and comic stories are made for kids on the spectrum so that does nothing for me.....

Deadpool is not going to get rid of all the dead weight in Disney and Marvel. The same writers that brought She Hulk are still going to be around and employed at Marvel.
We are at s point where Marvel are reaching the limits of badness !! My personal opinion is..... Wolverine is in Deadpool 3 to make sure the movie sells !!
I feel like people are saying this will save the mcu because they think deadpool is going to kill everyone. I really hope deadpool kills every new shit character they introduced in phase 4 so they can just start again with actually likable characters. Don't think that will happen though
Nah bro you dont understand after 4 years of bad movies deadpool will clean all of that and we will forget everything they have done for a single movie
I'm not paying to watch this. There's too many ways to see it without giving Disney money. I'd suggest nobody pay for Deadpool 3. There's going to be DEI in it. That's why Ryan and Hugh are pissed with Disney
_"Superhero fatigue"_ isn't real. What people are tired of is how similar everything has been for the last *_12 years.._* The comic genre can literally co-exist with any other genre.. the storytelling potential is limitless. It is a never-ending goldmine... The suits are just too greedy & stupid to see it. Everything's gotta be a part of a cinematic universe & go on for 30+ years instead.
yeah, I don't care about this movie. I didn't even check out Deadpool 2, and as much as I appreciate Jackman I've been ready for a more comics-accurate Wolverine for a while. Best of luck to these guys, but I'll be renting this when it's $4
Thanks for another entertaining overview. Regardless, super hero movies for adults reminds me of Bobcat Goldthwait's answer to why he hadn't seen the latest Star Wars movie: "Because I'm over 40, and I've been laid"
Can't wait to see the new Deadpool movie where a group of all powerful diverse middle aged women are actually the main character and the stuff in the trailer had nothing to do with the movie and we get some garbage CG armies fighting each other, instead of characters we care about.
Because Logan (Wolverine) died in Logan. His story was concluded and Hugh Jackman was done playing the character. Now it seems like they're just bringing him back for a desperate attempt to cash in on the beloved character.@@TheNerdWhoKnocks
It's an alternate timeline, just like Logan is an alternate timeline. Also pretty crummy ending for Logan since he helped saved everybody in Days of Future Past only for everybody to be just killed off again IMO
My guy, one Deadpool film isn’t gonna save the MCU which most common sense have abandoned at this point. Nobody said the films not gonna be good, but this isn’t saving the franchise.💀😭
Deadpool 3 is gonna be amazing. The MCU dosent need saving. Yes it’s been on a decline and the quality has dropped a bit but not every recent mcu project was bad. People over react and over hate the mcu because it’s a trend. The MCU is fine and marvel and Disney are listening to the criticism and prioritizing quality over quantity. There starting Dardevil born again from scratch, there reshooting almost all of cap 4, there hiring better writers and directors, and there delaying almost all of their projects. That shows that they are fixing the problems the mcu has had recently
Idk, even if they de-wokeified everything and focused on adapting fan favourite story lines, I'm just so superhero'd out at this point. We've had nearly 20 years of comic book adaptations fed to us, I'm over the genre as a whole. It's time to find something new and refreshing
I also find it hilarious how spot on this video was. The movie was indeed 1) not going to save the MCU and 2) was a good movie on its own merit, like the video predicted and hoped for.
@@TheMovieCynic1. Too early to tell if it’s gonna save the mcu. 2. It does a great job of showing what the mcu could use the multiverse for. I for one am excited to see what the mcu takes from this film. Just wait. You’ll see.

Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in Deadpool 3 is from the 2013 movie The Wolverine, at the end of the movie we see him get that yellow suit when he gets on the plane with Yukio .
It’ll be the anomaly just like no way home then back to business as usual based on Disney’s conference call. I’ll enjoy the hell out of this movie nonetheless.
GOTG3 was an outlier as well. It just shows you how constricting the massive continuity of the MCU is to future films now
when you bring up nostalgia it makes me realize that in the next 10 to 20 years they'll have little to no nostalgia to work off of sometimes. and this will be after because of the last 10 years of slowly failing industry already.

Deadpool doesn't know about the TVA. So, they are reintroducing them for the people who hasn't seen Loki.

I don't even see the MCU as a "U". Each film has to stand on its own and I hope that DP3 can achieve that.
I agree that Deadpool & Wolverine won't save the MCU
BUT
This movie can and WILL bring people back to Marvel movies and cinemas and even potentially give them faith into the MCU. So, if people who are responsible for Marvel movies and shows will keep making actually good projects instead of whatever phase 4 and 5 were, then we can honestly say that MCU is saved. But for now, let's hope that we'll at least get a good Deadpool movie!
Nope.
I'll wait to see if they screw the pooch on this movie, but outside of Deadpool, I'm done.
This movie will at most give Disney a "i will try the next movie" card for some people if it's good. I am glad i haven't watched anything except Spiderman since Eternals, because Eternals made me fall effin asleep.

They were so focused on the MCU that they discarded X-Men and Fantastic Four characters across various games such as Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite resulting in an apparent death of such a legendary series because of petty movie politics
Now they’re overly relying on X-Men to save their MCU
Regardless of this movie being good or not... am I fuck paying to see it Disney & Marvel need to do a fuck ton more than "Nostalgia" to earn my money again.
It's a pirate life for me.
Well, new Fantastic 4 will surely save MCU if DP3 couldn't. *NOT*
It's not about a single movie, they need to hire better directors and not woke it up.
The TVA scared me. This is the only movie Chapeck greenlight. I can see Igor sacrificing it
I never understood loki hate
I have enough of Marvel as of late. If they want to make shit right - they need to somehow reset the timeline (what was hinted at in the Deadpool and Wolverine leaks), add Spider-Man to the fold, let him join the X-Men for a trilogy. Then sprinkle it with some OG Blade (maybe a darker - vampire plotline or something - to make it different) and bring NEW COOL CHARACTERS. Leave Avengers alone and just make it exciting again. We don't need to reheat an old meal here.
To each their own. I’d rather Logan’s Wolverine had his last outing in days of future past rather than Logan
Agreed, he saved everybody and then everybody just dies again? Bunch of horse manure
Deadpool & Wolverine Can’t Save The MCU... It IS the MCU to me.
Deadpool 3 might save the MCU but they have to stop tv series like she hulk secret invasion etc...What we need is a good movie like deadpool 3 to make us excited for the next MCU future.
Knowing how Disney are now, If they do anything now it's gonna flop
I thought they said they where going to focus on bringing quality movies instead of tv shows
Super hero fatigue isnt a thing watching crappy movies and shows fatigue is a thing though. I really hope they get it together
The MCU needs a reboot with the OG characters and new (young) actors and new writers
That's exactly what they're going to do with Secret Wars if everyone would just have patience.
@@Dandods So what? Secret Wars is just gonna wipe out everything MCU did after Endgame and just start slate clean?
@@Dandods Doubt people would love to see it all over again with the way how Disney has been running ship. People have really given up at this point
@@MasterGordon5115 fair assessment, but you're completely wrong.

Man I gotta say you look so much better without blue hair. You don't have to peacock, MC- you're good just the way you are.
There isn't superhero fatigue. There is bad movie in the skinsuit of beloved characters fatigue.
