Heated windshield wipers!!! All I was trying to do was figure out how to turn on the side mirror heat. Wish I had heated steering wheel! Learned so much! Thank you.
I have a 1999 buick century and never new it had heated mirrors--no button, no icon. I looked at the fuse in the cabin and saw a 10A fuse for the heated mirror. Learned something new today. Thanks!

Also of note, while it's been over a decade since I sold it, I'm pretty sure my 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback had separate buttons for heated mirrors and rear defrost.

Just want to say I’m a Toyota customer since 2014 started with a Rav 4 Limited and now I have the Toyota Highlander Platinum 2020 and I love it. But you’ve helped me out with a lot of the functions and having the cover shield in the lower compartment (2020 highlander) where tools for the tire! Would have never known, sales guy didn’t tell me🤦🏻♂️
Thanks 2015 GMC terrain in 5° weather certainly helped knowing how to turn the heated mirrors after washing the car. just turning on the rear defroster switch did it.
Thank you! I just added my rear defrost to my climate presets under the auto start feature. My mirrors don’t have the symbol, but when I reached the car, they were warm.
I have the 2018 chevrolet traverse awd lt and it look like it came with the heated side mirror because when I turn on the rear defrost. The two side mirror fog went away unless I'm just seeing things. I think it's a genius implementing the rear defroster with the side mirror all in one button even though it doesn't give any indication for the side mirror. Smart move GM by wiring it all into a single defrost button if you have the heated side mirror feature on the mirror. This is one that is well thought out on this 2018 traverse. And making life easier for the consumers.

I like the heated mirrors but problem is if there are any drops of water left on the mirrors they get water spots on them. I may disable it instead. I want it to come on separate from my rear defrost. On my 23 camry they are tied together. In the ealier models they were separated

Most likely not. If it does it is connected to the rear defroster so if they fog or ice up hit that and see if they clear or use a thermometer that you aim and pull the trigger and see that way
So the under the wind shield wiper doesn’t HEAT up the whole window, cause a Toyota salesman told me that? Do they have that for different cars Toyota models where it heats up the whole window?
no it is a double element like what is on the back window but it is only below the place that the wipers rest. can it clear the whole window? no. If you had ice on the window would it clear more rhan just the spot where the wipers, yes over time, and in conjunction with the defrost mode on your air conditioner it would help but it does not heat the whole window with that button.

the 2022 Hyundai Elantra Preferred (Canada, in the US it would be SEL) does not have the icon on the mirror and neither the small icon on the button (says only REAR) but the mirrors are heated, you can tell by turning on the "REAR" button and touching the mirrors, they will feel warm.

@@jadeg4341 well for me, the old "REAR" button will turn everything on whether I need it or not (sometimes the rear glass has ice, or it is clouded but the side mirrors are OK) but I can tell 100% certain the side mirrors are being heated despite the lack of a dedicated button or the presence of the icon.
Yea i remember a viral video like 10 years ago where an old guy called teh cops because he thought a young girl riding a bike past his car had broken his side mirror when it stayed bent back like that. The video was about the girl acting up and resisting after and getting arrested for it. I was the only one in the comments to be like idiots its suppose do that😩its not broken. The teenage girl got arrested for nothing

Your find that a 2005 VW Passat estate B5.5 has the option to turn the heated mirrors on/off using the toggle that allows you to move the outside mirror.... just for future reference 😁
If that Rav4 was a Limited...I don't believe it has heated mirrors. Maybe the Toyota website is incorrect. Also...there are Tacomas with a heated mirror only button.
It has standard heated mirrors on the limited. And actually most rav4s have them standard. I have not seen a separate button for the mirrors that I can recall but that does not mean they dont exist. I love getting information I dont yet know.
My 2005 hyundai Tuscan has only one of the so called automatic features ie: ESP, Heated side mirrors, traction control, side air curtains & no side airbags...only a 5spd 2.0 lutre... but weren't said features the selling point back in 2005 ?

Extremely loud engine. Revs up all the time no matter how gently I press the gas pedal. So annoying. A vehicle that costs $50k is much louder than a cheap car? There is something wrong in that picture. How come I did not pick up on that on my test ride? 2. No heated steering wheel!!! Must be standard for 2022 only in Canada! Damn you Toyota….

The only exception id say is the tacoma. It has a legit stand alone button just hovering by itself on the center dash. Great video!

There is a lil icon on the side of that Rav 4 side mirror. If you rewind you can see it
that is the blind spot monitor

No. 20s are on the front wheel drive the awd has 18 in wheels
vw and audis to turn it on is in the mirror adjustment knob in between the left and right adjustment.
