Caparezza in English is inconceivable. He is a professional of the Italian language. We too must document ourselves on some of his expressions because they are profound. Grande Capa!
Fun fact of this song: in Italy most of the people who listened to this song, thought it was related to the drugs. Unfortunately Caparezza was talking of having fun doing easy things such as watching films, having a dinner with friends and so on. The real fun fact is that he got upset of this "misunderstanding" and in the third album jokes about it in the song "Annunciatemi al pubblico", where he imagines his death and what would it be the reaction of people who are not listening to him. The problem is that this was not the only song misunderstood by the public 😅
Probabilmente chi non ha capito il testo non si è mai trovato nella situazione di essere depresso e non capire perchè quando passi ogni sabato sera a seguire la routine degli altri per sentirti parte del gruppo. Disco, sbornia, disco, sbornia, rinse and repeat.
Lemme guess, "Vieni a ballare in Puglia?" Some still put it up at weddings and parties. I mean I could but 90% of my favorite songs talk about death in some way soooo...
@@Shendue, io quand'era uscita avevo 5 anni e penso che a 6 l'avevo sentita alla radio. Ricordandola pensavo c'entrasse la droga, ma perché l'unica cosa che capivo a 5 anni era il ritornello, sinceramente.
This song was released in 2003, during the golden age of reality shows, and its message was directly aimed at them. In an interview, Caparezza said, 'Many people misunderstood or even snubbed the meaning of the lyrics (further proof that in our country there is a low regard for communication), causing me frustration and embarrassment. Imagine, for example, how happy I am to know that 'Fuori dal tunnel' is joyfully danced in the very places that are the target of the lyrics. [...] It is also embarrassing for me to helplessly watch the exploitation of 'Fuori dal tunnel' by the very programs I detest, without any recourse. From 'L'eredità' to 'Bisturi', from reports on 'Big Brother' to 'Amici', and the latter was like a final blow... They even made a dance out of it!' The fact that the message is still very relevant twenty years later is proof of how great a singer-songwriter Caparezza is. The song has often been misinterpreted in many different ways, but simply put, the message is that the song's protagonist doesn't conform to the society that is idolizing and promoting those reality shows and other TV programs that have nothing real about them, defining them as 'sadly funny', meaning not genuinely funny.
Thank you for taking time to appreciate our music and culture. Caparezza is an underrated rapper here in Italy, it's pretty underground and who does know about good music knows he's one of the best after 20+years of doing intricate stuff like this. Bless you sir

As an italian fan of caparezza since I was a teenager, I would like to suggest you the song “La Mia parte intollerante” it talks about the life of introvert students. Also the song “Io vengo dalla Luna” is special and talks about racism. “Catalessi” is another special piece. The most angry song of caparezza is “non siete stato voi”, it talks about corruption in politics and also mafia.
Actually I do not really think it is possible to fully get Caparezza if you do not know italian. It is like translating Eminem to italian: you cannot really get the rhymes, the inside jokes of words. But I am glad this amazing artist can be known outside Italy too ... he is really great and smart.
❤ I like to hear the opinion of someone who is a stranger to this type of Italian singer-songwriter. Let's say that as much epic as in rap, it is made by the interlocking of words, rhymes and double meanings, and also quotes from other songs and literary works, which obviously get lost in literal translation. This song was epic in its time! If you want something a little thicker, I recommend "sono un eroe" also by Caparezza. Very beautiful.
I commented your other video a couple of minutes ago, big Caparezza fan here, if you need other songs with subtitles, I'd be more than happy to translate them for you ahahahahah
This one was a big hit and kind of his breakthrough song among the general audiences. Personally I related a lot to this song as when I was in high school I was fairly socially awkward and to feel like part of the group I robotically followed my schoolmates and friend groups with their common routine in the weekends: trip to the disco pub, get wasted, then to a club, get more wasted, go back home plastered, deal with the hangover the following day. It was boring as hell. Basically you'd get drunk out of absolute boredom. Never liked clubs, never liked dancing, having music blasted into your ears without any way to talk with people. I loved going to see a movie, play videogames, doing geek stuff (which was WAY WAY more niche and less socially accepted than it is nowadays). I pretty much started having fun much later on when I got older and started ignoring what other people considered socially acceptable and trendy and started doing what I enjoy, with different group of friends, like playing RPGs and boardgames, going to the movies, go play bowling or pool, etc. Going with the crowd is hardly ever the road to happiness.
You could try with Caparezza's song "Cover" and try to catch all the mentioned bands, or maybe "Abiura di me" and try to catch all the mentioned videogames
Caparezza è un genio, e pensare che iniziò la sua carriera in modo alquanto banale e stereotipato, devi avere qualcosa di speciale da offrire se vuoi emergere, e lui ha questo fuoco speciale!
