No other reviewer even cared to explain what the motorcycle name is all about. Thanks for starting with the history of the company and what the name of the bike actually means. As usual love your reviews. They are fantastic and to the point.
As an owner of the Last gen Vitpilen 250, I feel Husqvarna listened to the users a bit too much and made the 250 and 401s as a KTM with a skin. Practicality was not the focus of the last gen and I loved that. HappyI got one of the last batch of the gem Vitpilen 250 Cafe Racer 🤍
Exactly practicality was not the focus on the last gen but the uniqueness and compact stature was one of a kind which I really loved. Really they should have launched the new Vitpilen 401 in India. Heard in international media review the seating posture is slightly different than the Svart and that nice paint job on Vit - I love.
Thank you for this review. I am from Slovakia (Europe). I was looking for something like an Adventure motorcycle. At first, I fell in love with the Honda CB500X, then the Honda NX 500 came out. I didn't want a classic naked bike because I wanted to travel with the motorcycle, not just commute to work. No other bike met these requirements - it had to be small, light, and capable of handling light off-road terrain. But when I saw this motorcycle, I was blown away... it is exactly what I need and want to have. I admit, I don't have a motorcycle yet, but I know this will be my first one. It will take a while to save up for it, but I don't want any other. Your review answered all my questions about why this motorcycle should be my first. Thank you, and maybe in a year and a half, I will send my first pictures :)
As an interceptor owner for the past 1 year and 6k kms done, if I was looking for a mid size bike today......this would surely be in my shortlist.....this looks so much better than any of the KTMs.......this reminds me of the Yamaha MT01.....
That’s one really good looking motorcycle. Grab rail as you mentioned and rear tail section looks out of place. Once those are fixed (a tail tidy maybe with a husqy250 like tyre hugger with indicators on it) it’s a beauty.
U know sir, we the new gen, new age teachers can't go with Duke for our teacher image, as the brand got a sick image. But we love the machine. Great review and I love the new looks of Svartpilen also. You got the Husqvarna history spot on, you might be interested that Husqvarna made street bikes in the 50-60-ties called Silver pilen and Guld pilen, single cylinder motorcycles. Very popular bikes here in Sweden back then.

Just bought a Svartpilen 200, here in the Philippines (no 250's available here). For what I use it for. City riding, with the occasional ride out, it's perfect. Outside of the city, the road quality can be incredibly variable concrete/tarmac to dirt and back again within a kilometer. Riding much faster than 100 kph is not advisable, and the little Svart can do 100 kph all day long. I did consider the 401 (although the updated version isn't available here yet). But decided that the smaller Husky did what I needed it to, at a much lower price. Most of my longer rides are solo. If I was regular taking a pillion any distance, then I would probably have gone for the 401. Just for that little bit more oomph on the hills.

But the part you said about younger and stronger , it really motivated me to start a piggy bank account for this beauty !
It's an absolute bargain! Such a beautiful motorcycle, with top class built quality, superior performance and extremely appealing looks! It fits my purpose and personality perfectly; keeping it in preference for upgrading from Gixxer sf!

As a Canadian, I'd like to pass on that Huskies are famous here for their older 2 stroke off-road bikes and their 2 stroke chainsaws, with almost cult following for both. Today the bikes are more known outside the major cities, both the 2 and 4 stroke, by the trail rider crowd, while most regular folks hearing the name will think you are speaking of lawnmowers or chainsaws. It is nice to see that the brand is getting their brand known for city or country riding, yet be stylish and quirky enough to be fresh. Very Ikea Backroad Cafe Racer. I wanted a '23, but I might wait for the '24.

How does the riding feel of Husqvarna 401 compare to that of Honda CB300r? Hi bosss(ky). I accept your view about the motorcycles people normally think about a car in the price of some 2.5 l.but bike is the best buddy to roam with. ❤
Husqvarna should open limited showrooms across the country in major cities displaying their art work with concept bikes or existing models which are not legal to ride in India! Kind of marketing strategy! People would really adore and fall in love with their designs! Often they can take opinions from public and releases those models which are rated high by the public every year. This step creates hype in public, buzzing around with anticipations for the next release!
Sir, I have been following your channel for a year now and I am amazed how much you make me learn. I also wanted your suggestion for a bike below 2.5Lakhs. The svart 401 seems quite capable and fun but i didn't like the fact that husqvarna downgraded the vitpilen 250 from its cafe racer character and turned it into a roadster. The removal of clipons and the iconic DRL was a big disappointment. It seems they did this with the 250 just so they could make the 401 look like a better and more attractive option. BTW what a fantastic review!!! i really enjoyed listening to you and the way you explained everything from an enthusiastic perspective truly shows how great of a rider you are!!! Funny im the only guy among friends that always found husqy svrtpln more beautiful tha KTM Duke . Only problem with older model is that most of us won't be able to carry pillion in the back only midum luggage. And tank bag . But the new 401 looks more promising and bit large ,much more useful 😁 for sure .

Thank you for the review.. your compliments make me fall in love with this bike.. Now the battle is with Interceptor/GT 650 vs Guerrilla 450 vs Husq Svartpilen 401.. What's your opinion ?
Hello Bosky, What's your pick for touring among Svartpilen 401, (or Vitpilen 250 2024), Scrambler 400X, Himalayan 450 and KTM Adventure 390/250 (or KTM Duke 390/250)? Thanks so much.
Thnx bosky, i am thinking to buy the bike only because of it uniqueness and very unconventional design, wrap it in its traditional colour and make it more unique. But there is another gem i am waiting for too the bsa scrambler 650.
Hello, do you feel it is possible to live with the tubed tyres if my usage is only in the city? I hear there is some fluid that you can fill in your tubes to make it puncture resistant.
Please do drop the shoot location if the general public is allowed to visit Background looks marvelous for chilling a couple of hours in the morning after a small ride.
That 650 platform for me is a bit too heavy and hence a bit too lethargic for the size and cost! Where I am at the moment in my motorcycling life, I prefer something light even if it means letting go of some performance.
@@bigbearbangalore very true good answer, me on the other hand riding 80km everyday on hunter feel like i should get shotgun650cc just for leisurely weekend ride (solo) , since bsa is taking forever to launch goldstar , yes 240 kg is q lot to tackle if by chance you hit a neutral on incline u turn🙏
Awesome review ! as you said, KTM looks are a bit too edgy for me as well, so booked a husky 401, dealer said that alloys of vitpilen can be put for an extra charge of 12k rupees.

Please make a video on who should buy X440 and who should buy triump scrambler 400x. I did test ride both in bangalore city traffic. I liked the suspension, seating position of scrambler 400, liked the feel , torque of harley. I am 40 plus years, 6 feet tall. Which one should I buy for 60 percent city use, 40 percent highway use?
@@bigbearbangalore I tried to buy harley x440 vivid model. Hero showrooms are charging extra 8700 rs as registration charges in bangalore. Really disappointed with this day robbery inspite of Supreme Court order on handling charges. Can you please be vocal about this in you channel and help save consumers.? Just make a phone call to dealers and you will know how much extra they are charging in bangalore. The harley showroom dint even bother to call me back whdn asked for quotation Triump is charging 1500 extra for registration charges which even though illegal is nominal
When I hear Sweden, only Koeniggseg, IKEA and the canned fish Sustromming (which is apparently extremely smelly - some hilarious reaction videos on yt) come to mind. 😀 I don't know what the deal is with KTM and Husky. They have such great ADV bikes like the 890 adventure and the 901 Norden which they refuse to bring to India when all other manufacturers are selling their ADV line-up here.
@@bigbearbangalore well I wouldn't think they would cost anything more than their competitor's products. For ex I would assume a KTM 1290 Adventure R will cost as much as a BMW 1250 GSA or a Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer. Or the KTM 890 Adv would probably be priced around the same as a Tiger 900 or a BMW F850 GSA (or the upcoming 900). No reason imo why KTM bikes should cost significantly more than the products of other brands.

Only problem with older model is that most of us won't be able to carry pillion in the back only midum luggage. And tank bag . But the new 401 looks more promising and bit large ,much more useful 😁 for sure .
👍
Whenever I watch your video I got a big smile on my face by default 😊 hello .... 👋
🙏🏻😀
I like this more than the Duke 390. I will be shortlisting this while switching from my Honda CB350 RS once I am done with the CB.
👍
I would Love to see in that colour combination❤❤.
So I wish you may seriously consider your new piggy bank 😊😅
And also congratulations for your new startup (talking about that caffe) 😝
😀🙌
Great review :)
Thanks!
Thank you for the review.. your compliments make me fall in love with this bike.. Now the battle is with Interceptor/GT 650 vs Guerrilla 450 vs Husq Svartpilen 401.. What's your opinion ?
Thanks.
Test ride and choose! Theyvare quite different to eachother.
❤❤ superb review 👍🏻
🙏
This one looks more tempting than the Gen 3 Dukes 390. I am excited about the vitpilon 250 though
yups!
Oh man these look amazing, if there wasn't a triumph 400 I would've got thi
👍
Hello Bosky,
What's your pick for touring among Svartpilen 401, (or Vitpilen 250 2024), Scrambler 400X, Himalayan 450 and KTM Adventure 390/250 (or KTM Duke 390/250)?
Thanks so much.
Touring = H450
@@bigbearbangalore Thanks for the response!
Thnx bosky, i am thinking to buy the bike only because of it uniqueness and very unconventional design, wrap it in its traditional colour and make it more unique. But there is another gem i am waiting for too the bsa scrambler 650.
👍
can we put adv 390 rear alloy wheel on this for front and rear both ?
My gosh , I’m so glad I watched this .
🙏
💯
Hello, do you feel it is possible to live with the tubed tyres if my usage is only in the city? I hear there is some fluid that you can fill in your tubes to make it puncture resistant.
I can live with tube type. Yes the tubeless is better but when rhat option is not available, we must manage.
@@bigbearbangalore Thanks. Sorry if this sounds like a noob question but why don’t we have tubeless tyres for spoked wheels?
@@Orsino14spokes means a lot of holes, holes that are difficult to be airtight hence the tube
Please do drop the shoot location if the general public is allowed to visit
Background looks marvelous for chilling a couple of hours in the morning after a small ride.
It’s near Mulshi Dam, off the highway.
is this good enough or should we go for twin cylinder from re ??
I prefer this for its light weight and easy handling on a types of terrain.
quick question - why x440 and why not the shotgun, i mean you have him452,scrambler400, so why not a 650 now?
That 650 platform for me is a bit too heavy and hence a bit too lethargic for the size and cost!
Where I am at the moment in my motorcycling life, I prefer something light even if it means letting go of some performance.
@@bigbearbangalore very true good answer, me on the other hand riding 80km everyday on hunter feel like i should get shotgun650cc just for leisurely weekend ride (solo) , since bsa is taking forever to launch goldstar , yes 240 kg is q lot to tackle if by chance you hit a neutral on incline u turn🙏
👍
10:27 That line got me rolling. so true btw lighter is fun and build quality should hold the precedent over build material.
😃🙏
Sir did you mention Xpulse 400? May I know when it’s gonna launch
Slip of tongue. It’s Scrambler 400.
@@bigbearbangalore 😊
Bosky and Husky good combination
😀🙌
Awesome review ! as you said, KTM looks are a bit too edgy for me as well, so booked a husky 401, dealer said that alloys of vitpilen can be put for an extra charge of 12k rupees.
Good choice! Best wishes.
I may have missed it if you said already, but did you add the crash bars or were they on there factory? If you added, which ones did you use?
It’s as it came from the factory.
Problem with 250 version was it's ground clearance. Hope they did something about it.
I think they have.
Bhai aap ko triumph scrm 400 or Himalayan 450 me se ladakh jaisa ya highway touring ke liye ek stable or smooth ke sath comfortable bike choose karna ho to aap kon sa choose karoge?
Axtually i am asking to influence my choice........
H450 is my choice.
Liked the Watch reference at the end. Casio and Seiko. I thought you would say Casio and Tissot 🙂
🙌
Please make a video on who should buy X440 and who should buy triump scrambler 400x. I did test ride both in bangalore city traffic. I liked the suspension, seating position of scrambler 400, liked the feel , torque of harley. I am 40 plus years, 6 feet tall. Which one should I buy for 60 percent city use, 40 percent highway use?
Hi. Tough choice. It comes down to personal preference of the engine character. Easy rider or hustler.
The harley showroom dint even bother to call me back whdn asked for quotation
Triump is charging 1500 extra for registration charges which even though illegal is nominal
Guess they lost a customer then!
Kid inside me is shouting : GO BUY & MOD it LIKE NORDEN !! with KTM adv spares
🙌
nice explanation. other than norden 901, there is husky 701 Enduro which is a great bike
👍
When I hear Sweden, only Koeniggseg, IKEA and the canned fish Sustromming (which is apparently extremely smelly - some hilarious reaction videos on yt) come to mind. 😀
I don't know what the deal is with KTM and Husky. They have such great ADV bikes like the 890 adventure and the 901 Norden which they refuse to bring to India when all other manufacturers are selling their ADV line-up here.
Interesting! 😊
Those models will be likely end up massively overpriced due to duty structures hence the reluctance.
No reason imo why KTM bikes should cost significantly more than the products of other brands.
always a pleasure to hear you speak about bikes, but is it legal to repaint bikes in india??? u should definitely buy one and repaint vlog about it.
There's a process to change the color in the RTA records.
