You understand that il2 1946 is from 2006, right? For that, it really holds up excellently. And even with inferior graphics compared to today's war thunder it still trumps it big time for being a sim.
Looks wise sure, but simulation wise IL-2 is in a different class. I live and breath WT and I’m somehow able to recognize that it’s not a sim.

What are the considerations for not using Great Battles for this one? Obviously things like B-17 intercepts or Pacific missions aren't possible with that but P-47 train hunting is very well possible with the Kurban/Bodemplatte map so why 1946 instead?
Play IL 2 is expensive as hell, for do not say just buying planes or the game. 1946 cost like 10 dollars
I spend like 300 dollars on all the il2 sturmkov dlc, but I still play 1946 for its endless possibilities. Mostly play sturm for the career and multiplayer tho
1946 is much simpler to fly, setup, host, etc. It's nostalgic for us that either played it when we were younger or watched videos of it when youtube was first coming out. The FMB is super easy to use to make missions and everyone in general seems to like it. Not to mention the mod support there is for it. There's a reason the producers of IL2GB have stated they are trying to basically recreate 1946 with a new engine and quality. 1946 is cool as hell.
Because great battle is a piece of shit in comparison to 1946. The Great is only one here.

I have a question, I installed the y pack the same version you have. When I try to start a engine to any aircraft I usually have "I" assigned to start the engine . But ever since I installed the mod it hadn't been starting . Is there a new way to start the engines instead of the default way.
No. You have to start the engines one by one in multi engined aircraft.
This game looks so good, but i had trouble setting my joystick while trying to play it
How can I make the screen size bigger, because windows 10 will not let me save the changes that I have made,it says that I have to ask the maker off this game for permission.

@@FishyyyVictor's sound mod adds new engine sounds, and what mod do you use for the sounds of explosions, rocket launches, etc.? I still can't find such a great mod for better and louder explosion sounds.
I love the 47 but its flight model in 1946 is really really really bad.
Compare it to the BoX and you'll change your mind, lol. In BoX the Jug is awful.
@@arturatayants1666 Unless they're using some modified FM I'm unaware of, I'd have to disagree.
@@Birdy890 I'm using both YPack and BAT, I'm not sure if tge FM is different from a standard 1946. I'll try stock 1946 today, but I can definitely tell that in BoX it's awful. I can easily win a dogfight in A20 against a 109 but it's very hard to do it in a Jug.
