Hi Eleana, what size punch should I buy for the stitching holes and for buttons.
Hi! I mostly use the 1mm hole punch die for the stitching and 3mm or 4mm holes for snap buttons... on this bag though I used 18mm magnetic snaps that don't need a die to be set.

You should consider the watt of your machine, the stiffness and the thickness of the leather and other parameters in order to find your settings....
What works for me, it won't work for you. You need to do test before you cut.

Hi. I used two colors of pull up leather that i got from SalvoLeather on etsy. I haven't used any soft leather. This is the one i used for sides and pockets.

You can use any 4oz oil/wax finished leather and you will have similar results
I made the bag!!! I wish my holes were perfect and I could have this clean look you do. What kind of laser do you use?
I have a 100w Co2 laser (90cm x 60cm working area). If you use a laser though, your hole punching won't improve 😋. You get better with practice!

What do you do to clean your lasered edges?
there are kinds of leather that get really messy and others that can be easily cleaned. I cleaned mine with a wet towel (not too wet). Even with the cleanning proccess, a laser saves a lot of time.
