I remember learning about this on my business HND years ago. As a sole trader how do you pay yourself and keep it separate from your business? I know as a limited company, even if you are it’s only employee, you set yourself a salary, which is causing a few headaches with the current self-employed income support scheme, as they can only claim on the salary and not the dividends on profits which can form most of their income?
