That is it. Wilder is stupid saying shit like "i want a body on my record" and constantly calling out AJ and then hiding when it actually comes to fighting. I respect the fact that he has a lot of power but technical boxing skill is not something he has. He has fought no one but journey men and says he fights killers smh. People saying deontay isn't a boxer lol. Boxing is the sport of fighting with fists. Literal definition. And other than Tyson Fury, Wilder has stepped into the ring and fought with his fists to a victory every single time. That's a boxer
...that isn't the point. The point is that Wilder probably isn't the best guy to learn how to box from, because he's a guy whose borderline superhuman physical gifts have enabled him to cut corners and get away with stuff in the ring nobody else could or should try, and he knows this himself.
@@fabesey2016 Well, how I'll put it is, he knows how to box...but he isn't the best technical boxer out there.
Man, you got to love the person Deontay Wilder. World famous, but he always seems so chill and down to earth. Every man is his equal.
I'm not a fan of deontay but I love his confidence and when he speaks , he brings a " speaking things to existence type of vibe."
Deontay Wilder seems like a good dude. Great video! People saying they chose the wrong guy are idiots. Wilder is an Olympic Medalist and Professional World Champion who has been dominating his division (heavyweight).
we all know its because he's black... if a white boy was 40-0 with 39ko's he'd be called the best ever and great white hope!
dominating the division, he has fought two notable people Ortiz an old man and Fury who decimated him only getting a draw because American boxing matches are so easily rigged. People are saying he isnt technical, which he isnt, he is literally just two heavy ass hands. Thats not bad but it does mean he's the wrong choice to teach boxing.
kieron andrews lmao! I rather listen to an Olympic Medalists and WORLD CHAMPION but hey, ignorance is bliss.
yeah i mean once again technical Boxing doesnt always equal success. I mean they Culd have contacted Vasyly Lomachenko the Rank No.1 Pound for Pound in the world instead, i mean he lives in the US. Or really any other technically sound boxers with medals
kieron andrews Vasyl Lomachenko doesn’t make sense for Complex’s platform. A platform that caters to American Urban / Pop Culture lol! Like I said, ignorance is bliss. Btw, he’s not technically as sound as Loma because he started boxing hella late - 20 years old. Where as Loma did it since he was a child and was groomed into the sport of boxing.
Man, love this man, so energy from him and motivation of course
Fury and Wilder so great guys!
My first boxing lesson this week after over a decade putting it off. Wilder is inspiring, been watching him since 2014. I'm 5 ft 11 15.5 stones, skinny limbs and explosive punching power, no wtime to learn boxing basics. This is the guy i should be listening to, great vid. #UK #BOMBSQUAD #SQUADUP

This is the wilder we love. Humble and respectful.

Coming from Alabama myself this is inspiring.
As cool and generous as Wilder is its a shame his country don't support him.....i wonder why 🤔🤔
Because he’s a woman beater, he’s a buffoon, he’s a pathological liar, he’s holding the belt hostage to prevent the division from progressing, he threatens to cripple his opponents and brag to their children, despite having a disabled child of his own, he wants to beat his own brother up in the ring rather than fight real competition. Need I go on? Oh, were you were alluding to his race? Weird how there’s so many people who focus on one thing.
@Shane Jordan In Alabama certainly.
Because people are asshole! They want you to fight the fight they want to see which is a brawl. That's mma! Boxing is hit and not get hit. His personal life don't have shit to do with boxing! Most of the haters have never been in a fight before but can tell someone how to fight? He's not perfect shit no is but damn. That's how people is these days. Now watch this....

Deontay Wilder knocks every person out that he boxes... That's not boxing.... He's never lost.

@Belloo In Tears So why do you think those guys r both damned if they do and if they dont
leon scott idk if I’d say that’s racism but you definitely have a point. Floyd was a textbook boxer, about as pure as you could possibly be, beautiful boxing. Wilder is a knockout artist. Their styles couldn’t be more different, but I love watching them both.

One of the better boxers to ask-he was a natural
Who better to ask than a World Champion dummy???
Wilder is the friend everyone needs
with one word,Awesome
Say what you want. Wilder does hit the hardest and he is the most athletic.
I know he swings wild but it works for him. Ultimately effective.
The man knows what he's doing
People hang on tradition too much. It's not about how looks like a specimen and has perfect technique (saw that on Ruiz vs AJ). Also, there is not really one perfect technique. Whatever is effective is good technique. Period.
We have one guy in the gym who refused to be trained with one stance. My coach said to him that he first needs to learn to fight with his stance, and then after ten, fifthten years he can switch it up and try to learn both stances. He refused and did every drill two times as often as the rest, each stance once. He had do to that outside the training, cause my coach would get angry at him.
The dude fights so unorthodox, it's actually crazy watching him box. But guess what, just after 1 years he became the champion in the city tournament (In Germany that his like the first step to becoming recognized in the amateur scene, and people usally get there with like 4 to 6 years of boxing training).
I've been boxing for many years myself, and in the beginning inspired by Naz I wanted to train both stances from start to. My coach said "no, you can train that when you perfected the basics on this stance first", but after I perfected the basics it was impossible for me to switch to another stance. It just wouldn't work.
@@luk303 exactly! Boxers these days need to let loose a little and actually let their hands go.
Boxers these days are too stiff.
Luk whatever is effective is good technique? That’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard lol you don’t comprehend the purpose of good technique. Look at wilder looking like an amateur against fury and you might figure it out.
@@wutang5503 did he really look like an amateur though? At the end of the day, it still is a draw. Now you think about that; how a guy that only started to box when he was 20 years of age gets a draw against another guy that trained his whole life.
Also let's be honest here, I think when Fury left this planet for a few seconds in that last knockdown, he probably thought to himself "well, that was an effective punch".
Effective is always good; it is implicated in the word itself. Now, one could very well argue that Wilders technique was not effective against Fury, since he didn't win (or the other way around); but thats another story.
Luk he did. The way he kept missing over and over. The way he kept doing the same shit and when it didn’t work he still kept doing it because he has no skill fundamentals or technique etc to fall back on. He landed 16 percent of his punches lol Arturo gatti landed more than that on Floyd. Power is not technique in boxing or in any combat sport. Nobody with real knowledge of boxing will tell you that. There’s a reason for good technique and fundamentals and there’s a reason boxing is taught how it is taught.
No way that's your first boxing class, man's a natural
This was entertaining....nice!
