When breaking down to get back on the road, does the add a room and awning need to be removed from the rest of the tent, or can they be folded in and stowed for ease of setup?
The awning can remain zipped on and folded in with the tent, but the add-a-room will need to be removed and placed in the storage section of the camper.
Yes, the awning and AAR can easily be stored in the cargo space of the camper. They take up approximately 1 cf of the available 15 cubic ft of storage.
@@KompactKamp Thank you. I ordered one of these last week with the awning and additional room. I looked at close to a dozen campers...but kept coming right back to this one. The light weight, and price point made you folks a sale. Good work.
Yes, the add-a-room sidewalls attach to the awning. Your awning must have a velcro strip attached to the inside of the drip edge for the aar to attach. You can read more about the fitment requirments and purchase the aar online here: www.kompactkamptrailers.com/store/Add-a-Room-Awning-Sidewalls-for-Mini-Mate-Camper-p78622240
To keep out all mosquitos, the Add-a-Room would need to be fully enclosed with a floor, which would increase the cost and difficulty of set up. For that reason, the add-a-room was designed for privacy and rain coverage only, while the camper itself can keep out all pests while sleeping. Feedback and experience have shown that even without full enclosure, it still keeps out the large majority of mosquitoes and flies as is.
Can't wait to get my mini mate
Got..mine so happy with my mini mate thank you Sheldon Martin and co.

Is there enough space in the added room to store the bike? Do yo have the dimensions of it?
It is 7’x5’
Does the Add-A -Room and the awning option all store in the trailer when closed? How much storage does that reduce it by if packed well?

My goldwing is chrome yellow 💛, it would have to be painted that color.
How much actual storage is in the trailer shell itself.
There is 15 cubic feet of storage in the camper body. Find more info at www.kktrailers.com.

Why not have the skirting cover the other side of the trailer? I would think this being open gives a path for mosquitoes to get in easily.
