There's spirit for sure, but alot of that didn't look like it was necessarily fun to go through. Heath even retired from skateboarding because getting these big tricks wasn't fun fir him.
hah! that line is so nuts. the 3 flip, the two pushes while he's already going downhill and then the kickflip over the fire hydrant. Then just look at where his feet are as he bombs that hill going so fast with cracks everywhere and just looking so relaxed. Heath in an animal!
I’ve skated that bump to hydrant and the cracks are literally so fucked and you land really close to the wall. He had to thread the needle to when he rolled past that sign pole. Heaths line at that spot is probably my favorite line ever
Heath will always be the best. He represents skateboarding what it was meant to be: an artform. Many skate, but few are destined to skateboard. His style is unmatched and captivating and true. He is the legend and testament to what skateboarding will always remain in truth. He is untouchable.
"You know that Heath? Your one of my favorites man, for a long time. To have you here is an honor. I really want you to pull it. I want you to make it. ... straight to 3's..."
i like how they show the falls, time and dedication it took to land that one trick people take sk8 vids for granted and just watch them for a bunch of tricks being landed thats all great and all but u never get to see all the falls and frustration a person has to go through to land it perfect...awesome video love to see more
i love watching raw footage because it reminds me that pros don't always land a trick first shot and that they don't just say i feel like do a bs tailslide to kickflip out down this 6 stair and do it first shot. It takes lots of perseverence and effort
Mega ramp. Holyyyy shit is that name perfect. When I was a kid skating (teen) I always thought vert skating was “gay as shit” compared to street. You know what I mean. Street was king and just so much cooler. Now turning 40 this year and having mortality set in for a few years now and taken some pretty bad spills in my 30s that you just do not recover from like you did when you were young. You just don’t recover lol…. Going back and watching old Burnquist and Glifberg parts just absolutely blow my mind. Doing some of the most technical tricks but on vert? Just fucking hauling ass and flying 15 to 20 feet in the air??? Such a new appreciation for sure. So long rant aside. Watching this mega ramp footage. Seeing just how massive it actually is….. it just blows my mind how “extreme” it is. One small fuck up could cripple or kill you. It’s wayyyyy gnarlier than anything I’ve seen before. Is street stil cooler? Of course street for life bitches. But watching one of the gnarliest street skaters ever have a bucket list moment and it’s a trick down a mega ramp pretty much just says it all. So Fucking insane
Absolutely bloody briliant, I'm gonna miss this dude's skating so much. Kudos to him having the balls to retire when he did. I respect the choice he made but would love to see more from him. Definitely one of the best ever...
jfc that he just immediately drops in on the mega ramp the second he comes up there is crazy to me. No hesitation, no psyching himself up, anything, he just does it.
heath is gnarly he takes some of the worst slames of any old pro I know when your adrenaline gets going when your skating trying a trick for 3 hours and eventually stick one now to me that's commitment to skateboarding...
Chris Hansen I actually film for a living and have filmed countless skate videos. I know that fisheyes distort the object to look larger and are used to film in tight situations. The wider your lens is the farther you separate subject from background so this makes your subjects actions a little be more dramatic than they actually are. In this case it's the fucking mega ramp so everyone knows it's huge and difficult to skate, not to mention wide open with plenty of space to shoot. So in that respect a longer lens, which compresses subject to background, would actually represent the ramp in more realistic manner and the viewer would be more blown away by a more accurate representation of the ramp. Fuck you, go hang out with your child molester friends.
Infelizmente são poucas vezes que tenho orgulho de ser Brasileiro... e vendo o Kirchart treinando na mega ao lado de varias bandeiras do Brazil é demais... Obrigado Bob parabéns... Sucesso Sempre !!!
Heath never stops amazing me...the dude goes balls out every time. LOVE watching his out-takes. This Is Skateboarding had some good ones as well, though its an easter egg to access them.
Everytime I watch this I feel compelled to re-inforce that Kirchart is the man. This was the last thing he ever filmed for. He's past his prime here, and maybe didn't stay in athletic shape or whatever that would have allowed him to skate like this forever. But he was a total groundbreaker in the late 90s and early 00s. Watch all his videos and I guarantee he will be one of your top 5 favs of all time.
"Hey, Guys. We're pretty much done with that for the day, okay?" "Nah, we thought we'd let Heath kick the shit out of himself a little more... even though he already got his trick... that cool?"
Dude, if anybody could really land every trick first try they would probably be bored with skating. The battle is what makes skating so fun and Heath is on the of most legendary skateboarders ever, respect a legend.
ohhh my fucking god hes soooo good. how the hell would u even imagine to do that over the mega ramp when hes a street skater!! hes now my favorite skater....
I love when he is trying to grind and flip out, when its day then all of a sudden night.... atleast he doesn't cut all the falls and bails out like most skaters (Y)
That mega ramp footage brings a tear to my eye. It also scares the shit out of me seeing it from the top. How anybody could drop in on that thing I'll never know.
One of the best of all time. He skated like he wanted to die. Definitely enjoy his parts more than anyone out today. He makes it look fun
Skate today, like you won't be here tomorrow.
There's spirit for sure, but alot of that didn't look like it was necessarily fun to go through. Heath even retired from skateboarding because getting these big tricks wasn't fun fir him.
@Drew Biggah The new guys of today become the legends of the next generation.
Yeah, I don’t see fun in the process of making a Heath part. Which he speaks about in recent interviews. His parts were a mental torture for him.
Heath's kickflips are a thing of beauty.
Rufusdos every flip trick Heath does is a thing of beauty
Had a pair of his shoes way back, loved em
Cant be copied. You do it like that or you dont. And of all the kickflips ive done and seen, many of them beautiful, not one looked like his.
I read this comment before watching and was still surprised at the kick flip holy shit
props to the filmer, that hill bomb while keeping heath perfectly filmed was gnar
Right!
Even though the skateboarding culture gets on my nerve nowadays I will never get tired of watching Heath Kirchart skate!
😊
Everytime I come over a «greatest kickflip ever?» clip on Instagram I have to comment nope and go rewatch this intro again

@@tnert4226 that's in DTLA
This guy is an inspiration for all of us 30+yrs old skateboarders
Heath will always be the best. He represents skateboarding what it was meant to be: an artform. Many skate, but few are destined to skateboard. His style is unmatched and captivating and true. He is the legend and testament to what skateboarding will always remain in truth. He is untouchable.
signing a death waiver thats some gnarly shit
"You know that Heath? Your one of my favorites man, for a long time. To have you here is an honor. I really want you to pull it. I want you to make it. ... straight to 3's..."

Yo!! Kirchart is one of the toughest and most resilient mu F'ers to ever step on a skateboard!!!!
I love how when he bails on the mega you can see him pissed at himself... while also sliding at 25 miles an hour
Love that first line! Look at that speed!
hell yeah i hate speed lmao
one of the best ever, i still go back and watch his videos 15 years later...
I love how he wears full white and just gets covered in shit lmfao
Living the dreamz. Health forever 🥲❤️
00:42 Is one of those lines that take a really rad person to do
this guy is awesome.
i love watching raw footage because it reminds me that pros don't always land a trick first shot and that they don't just say i feel like do a bs tailslide to kickflip out down this 6 stair and do it first shot. It takes lots of perseverence and effort
My GOAT. Music, parts, always perfect.
I remember when my buddy told me about this and the back 360 nosegrab on the mega. Dude really is the shit. Also love that deck he was riding.

A master of determination and one of the things I love the most about skating. Fucking legendary.
Skate today, like you won't be here tomorrow!
Had this shit on my ps3 back in like 2012 old shit- stay gold👍✌️
gotta be one of my favorites growing up..destroying america was hilarious...Heath skates so fast and goes so huge
Absolutely bloody briliant, I'm gonna miss this dude's skating so much. Kudos to him having the balls to retire when he did. I respect the choice he made but would love to see more from him. Definitely one of the best ever...
2:12 haha I didn't throw to the board in the woods i placed it there because its made of of wood and thought it should be with its family
Top 3 fav Skaters.
He's an Icon and you'd never know passing him in the street. Or on a kayak.
that's no hill bombing, that's fucking insane! all-time fav skater, heath kirchart never disappoints!
jfc that he just immediately drops in on the mega ramp the second he comes up there is crazy to me. No hesitation, no psyching himself up, anything, he just does it.
That first line tho..
He does his tricks a full speed it’s crazy. It looks so good when he lands them.
heath is gnarly he takes some of the worst slames of any old pro I know when your adrenaline gets going when your skating trying a trick for 3 hours and eventually stick one now to me that's commitment to skateboarding...
Josh Fleisher why do pros get scared of him?
slashcomic Cause hes a fucking legend. they want to look respectable around him i guess
I love these B-side videos. Sick, raw skateboarding at it finest.
Remember kids: prayer was the answer to a perfect 360 at the mega ramp.
hhahhahaa
Such a cool skater. He was always up there Tom Penny to me. Chillest sickest style but doing gnarly shit effortlessly
haha i like how he had to sign a waiver to skate that mega
I believe everyone has to
Kirchart is so gnarly good, he can surely take a slam like no one else...dang
Talk about living your life with the "Skate or Die" motto.. Gnarly
pure dedication.
he reaLLy try hard
but with heart,the best!
i've never even seen his legit stay gold part :/
The board he skates the mega with is so dope. Love the color. Wish I had a few of them. I also wish we were gonna get to see more of him.
it amazes me that he can take that much of a physical beating just for a single trick...shows dedication
hey guys, umm we are pretty much done with that... hahahahahah
Kirchart is rad, his and Klein's part in The End is legendary
2:10 i went to that spot and grabed the board
haha, really?
yeah man for reals
Prove it
twas joke
***** courthouse, ca, neither... its a now abandoned courthouse in the city of laguna niguel
The greatest style. Bs tail kf look so amazing. Heath, you should continue to sell decks and shoes. We would buy them.
Why would you film the mega ramp with a fisheye?
You have no clue about filming so it'd be useless to explain to an idiot.
Chris Hansen I actually film for a living and have filmed countless skate videos. I know that fisheyes distort the object to look larger and are used to film in tight situations. Stuck in the 90s when every skate vid was shot with a fish eye.
Infelizmente são poucas vezes que tenho orgulho de ser Brasileiro... e vendo o Kirchart treinando na mega ao lado de varias bandeiras do Brazil é demais... Obrigado Bob parabéns... Sucesso Sempre !!!
how the fuck are there 101 dislikes
+yellow osiris hoodie cause the majority of the human population is stupid
Heath never stops amazing me...the dude goes balls out every time. LOVE watching his out-takes. This Is Skateboarding had some good ones as well, though its an easter egg to access them.
every bail heath kirchart does looks painful as fuck...
Everytime I watch this I feel compelled to re-inforce that Kirchart is the man. This was the last thing he ever filmed for. why is heath dressed like a cheesecake factory waiter?
cuz he is
Cause it looks sick. People at my school look at me weird when I dress like it too
Because when your the man you dress how you please.
Every pro of this Era started dressing in all white at the end of their career
one of the best styles ever
Here because Epicly Later'd!
OMG those Mega ramp angles were so gnarly it made the back 3 look so much sicker! It's a shame he retired.
I don't get the fuckin' cart...
It's just faster than walking back up every time.
I quoted Heath smartass.
TROPRICS JIVE Oh...guess I missed that haha.
I miss a lot too.
That mega footage is everything
i met him before
Answer the damn question, Hot Jenny.
Four months should be enough time to formulate a response.
+SONOFABITCH she's prob a dude
+Jason Vorhees true, the name hot jenny is sus or one of those "met horny girls near you!" type click bait scam.
Can I meet you?
I wish they had more behind the scenes stuff of the mega ramp. That shit is fascinating.
dude is made of nails
This guy is on a mission 👏🏼
a street skater skating mega ramp?, okay thats just weird
what a sick bs 360 nosegrab! and in a mega ramp! that is really amazing
going down hill at that speed no speed wobbles and handling that trick like a boss epic!!!!
i have never rooted for someone so hard for anything, so relieved he landed it.
you have inspired me so much thank you heath
Mad props to the guy that filmed that first part. That was hella fast!
Best skateboard video on the internet.
one of my favourite skaters
so good. i like that he mentally prepped himself on the 360 he landed
that last line is pretty inspirational
he caught that opening kickflip SOOOO beautifully
No matter what Heath is allways killing it!
that back side tailslide to kickflip out is hard in the Ea Skate games so yeah,he pretty gnarly
his life was all about street skating and he ended this career with bs 360 on a mega. so awesome. respect
"Hey, Guys. We're pretty much done with that for the day, okay?"
"Nah, we thought we'd let Heath kick the shit out of himself a little more... even though he already got his trick... that cool?"
god damn, so much respect for tryin the 360 nosegrab again and again
Heath Kirchart is a legend to me!
A true legend.
these stay gold b-sides revolutionized the way skating is consumed, hence raw cuts
Dude, if anybody could really land every trick first try they would probably be bored with skating. The battle is what makes skating so fun and Heath is on the of most legendary skateboarders ever, respect a legend.
