In my opinion this is the way that all bikes should be. Around town or commuting it is smooth and easy, then if you want to have fun it’s mental.
I always look to Chris to be a deciding factor when there's a new bike I'm thinking about. Hope there's a more in depth review later. Hope you got to meet my buddy Nate there !! Quite a guy !!
Nice one Chris! It never ceases to amaze me how modern bikes can be so hugely powerful and yet so useable; they are basically as mad as you want them to be.

A beginner rider could probably ride this easily as long as the beast is not unleashed.😄
My mate just put in an order for a NON-competition pack M1000R. Swapped in his 2020 S1000R for it and taking delivery in april. And i`m more exited about it than he is because A- he`s jaded and B- that means there is a real chance of me actually getting to ride it.🥰

@@Cartsp70 From Chris: ZH2 for pure bonkers feeling of engine dominating the ride. M1000R for ridiculously fast but easy to ride road bike.
@@BikeWorldTVshow Aha yes makes sense, I’ve tried the Zh2 last weekend (not the SE with electric damping) I absolutely loved it it’s so easy to ride and manoeuvrable, Tomorrow gonna test the M1000 so I’ll see how that is , my current bike is the S1000XR , great bike but too top heavy for my needs but still a fantastic bike 🙌🏼
Been waiting for this but got the MT10 SP, really fun bike too.
The styling is top drawer. BMW have absolutely nailed it.
Another great review, Chris. Thanks. The grown up comment is bang on as my S1000XR has a similar arrangement which looks good aesthetically but I’m less than convinced functionally.
210hp in 199kg. That is the most power to weight ratio in a bike. Reminds me of one of those giant Gundam robots with the wings and colors though

On a serious note, I'm surprised that Euro specs don't require a dedicated brake light- rear-ended collisions do happen in the real world, after all.

It doesn’t need balancer shafts for less vibration,the engine is balanced.my 2020
RR was the same, bars felt buzzy wile riding and numb, fingers galore.
Pop it in rain mode or just back off compression damping to min Which achieves the same thing and then all is then well.👍👍🏍️
Chris definitely knows how to extract that motorcycles attributes. And who would’ve thought aerodynamic wings on a naked bike, yeah looks pretty damn good!
I have a suggestion for @bikeworld. With every review video, pls upload another video in much shorter format which will have Chris just hooning the bike along with the usual kickass background score. it will be awesome.
I'm praying this has the shift cam that my K67&K66 both have! That's the only reason I haven't put one in my line up! PLEASE🙏 HAVE THE SHIFT CAM!
Great bike. I doubt many people would get over 12k rpms on the road, in which case you may as well buy the s1000r :)

The all-in-one tail is great for taking the bike on track. Just undo 2 bolts and you’re ready
A bit like KTM - there’s the mental road legal version, then the slightly less mental adventure and GT versions. Thing is if you’ve got the dish, it’s there which is quite remarkable. A manufacturer who says, you want it, we can build it.
It would be a good idea to upgrade your riding skills at a track riding school first.

i would be concerned it would not give me the stability that i now want from a super naked. i had an s1000r and then went to the aprilia tuono factory with the 2.0 suspension and the tuono is rock solid in comparison. be nice to have a shot to see
BMW is 10 times better than Aprilia 🤣
I had the k1200R....the original BMW super naked, back in 2005.
Chris is the modern day, FastBike guy from the 90's, doing and saying what we all are thinking and love to do 😎. Honestly, I'd want to hear what Chris thinks about a bike, before I'd even consider buying it 💯

Astonishing machine and love all of Chris' vids, especially when he drags tin tops. But, having previously owned an S1000RR and S1000R, I know how troublesome BMW sports bikes can be. I have little doubt that there'll be loads of people wanting to own one of these.
What's the problem with the S1000R? I'm about to buy one (2021 model)
@@markietje24 I had the previous generation - terrible low rpm fuelling, poor cold start, coolant pump failure (on both models), quick shifter problems, and excessive clutch noise. But, they were both fast as hell and handled beautifully.

Not having a separate taillight is definitely quirky lol. I mean if looked sick like panigale to begin with then it would be a huge miss but if it was like the $20 autozone light in the GS1250s then I guess not having one is even better haha

Great review from someone who knows what he is talking about and know how to ride. Personally I don’t like the looks at all. Would love to see Aprilia stick RSV4 engine into Tuono and this would be freaking perfect.

2 things preventing me from getting this bike
1- even if you can afford it from savings, you'd still need to pay a ton for maintenance and spare parts.
2- such a perfect bike yould definetly be a daily rider, which probably will send you to your grave early, although the power delivery is smooth, it's still a 210hp bike

I have 1 criticism, it does not sound like a 22 MT10
I can't get over how incredibly busy looking this model is in profile - and not just within the frame. I'm not criticising it either, there's just so much going on it's nuts! It's pretty impressive how little cabling/wiring/hose is actually visible.

That midrange, stronger than the standard s1000r? Or does that shiftcam just add another few thousand revs to get that power and below - what 10k? - it's identical to the s?

Are there any bigger performance difference in the real world between a Tuono V4 and M1000R? I don't think so, but would like to hear your opinion.
I guess m1000r is pretty similar to StreetFighter v4 in terms of performance.
If that's the case, I own a 2017 Tuono 1100 factory and a friend owns a 2020 Streetfighter v4, and the difference is noticeable; on the straights, it flies by like I'm standing still, and he is 5 kg heavier than me.
In my opinion, the S1000R already has a much better chassis and electronics than the Tuono 1100; the issue was a kind of lackluster engine.
@@Fearless154 I own a Tuono v4 2022 and a friend owns a Panigale v4. When we race 80-250km/h, my Tuono is 3-4 bikes ahead up to 230, then he flys be like a rocket.

Panigale is taller geared than Streetfighter V4. Also, the engine is a bit retuned for the midrange on the Streetfighter v4.
Love it but because of Indians commercial for the FTR1200 Sport, I'm lusting over the Indian FTR Sport.

Maybe you have to see it in person, but I’m really not a fan of that chopped-up M color way. It looks almost like the bike is camouflaged for on-road prototype testing, can barely tell what it looks like.

The combined brake light and indicator would stop me buying that bike, and any other with it. My mate got a GS with those on and I pointed it out to him and he couldn't be leave what he was seeing. Imagine turning right and some plonker decides to over take you as they can't see your indicator working. I think it's a bad move from BMW.
Wonderful bike, I have wanted one for years. However, whilst I can afford it I can't handle the vibration through the bars! Shame BMW haven't taken the issue of vibration / white finger seriously.
This bike looks good, handles even better, but the engine is " another" boring standard 4 in line. That's the main problem while the competition has supercharged, triple, v4 and mental 1300cc v-twin engines with much more character. A company like BMW that is famous for their heritage (6 in line engines) I expected something special for a halo bike.
@@tubejorrit I totally understand where you are coming from.... But I guess a "special" 6 cylinder would push the price even further. The "M" logo is not even a real M Developed, its just a badge.
@@tubejorrit haha these comments are hilarious..210hp is boring. I've owned am MT10 and a 1290SDR (and about 30 other bikes) and my current s1000R is a beast of a thing too. Its my favourite supernaked by far. Buy in fairness you probably don't ride hard enough or have the skills to extract the performance any of these bikes have to offer like I do, so those things interest you and give you a reason to buy and wobble about on with lovely big chicken strips
@@mbal4052 Numbers don't lie but 90% of the time riding on the streets I'm nowhere near redline even if I wanted to. So I like an engine that is also fun, has character and sounds good in the lower rpm's. and for ME a standard 4 in line is just not as fun as any another layout like a v4, v-twin etc.
