I've felt like this since I was a child and I thought was normal until I grew up and realised something was wrong with me . I never had the motivation to do anything, had no goals and everything felt so damn boring. Luckily I got into teaching, it wasn't something I planned to do, I just wanted to find a job that'd be the easiest. During my college internship I was hired as an assistant teacher in a school and for the first time in my life I had something to look forward to, something that wasn't boring. It wasn't as easy as I expected but I enjoyed it. Its while I'm teaching that I never feel a hint of boredom or loneliness
I hope you find that something that fills the hole in your heart

      "it's loneliest in a crowd"
Honestly checking if there is a concrete diagnosis to be made can also help. Getting diagnosed )with ADHD) after my 30's gave me lots of "ahhhh, that's why X", so I know what to work on. For many it is also a very valid "it's not your fault". Others find a community through getting diagnosed, cuz suddenly you find out, yes, you do work differently. But no, it isn't just you, there are people out there who relate to you. Who understand you in a way you hear other people are understood by family

I am feeling this since I stopped going to college because of financial problems and my perfect good average student character died since then I don't respect myself so nobody else does, I feel lonely everywhere I go, don't know what to do, but I am still holding on life.

it's so bad. I feel like I'm outside my body watching it but still using it, looking at others like "did they notice me not being normal?" wondering what a normal person should do, when a distant me from years past was very animated and social.

@randy palla bro I would delete your comments. Comments like yours come from a bad place I suggest you take Tyson Fury's advice and work towards something positive. It's easy to criticise and be negative but your comments reflect poorly on yourself and not on Tyson Fury. I hope you can lose that mindset and find the motivation to improve your life perhaps rewatch the video and look at the words and forget who's saying them.
      Peace brother

    • @mkprocter882
      @mkprocter882 5 років тому +9

randy palla I will never forget at the press conference for the 2nd Klitschko fight Tyson was talking in a way like he was a defeated man, he was hopeless in front of the cameras and was trying to put on a brave face. I said to my friends he is depressed and shouldn’t fight as he’ll get the kind of beating that would ruin him. It then came as no surprise to me that he slipped into a 2 year abyss.
As someone that has seen depression and suffered from it I know the signs. I could feel his depression watching him because I’ve been there myself. I never used to like Fury but I knew his pain and think he is an inspiration to people that suffer from mental illness.
Perhaps you have never seen or experienced mental illness, but take it from me Tyson maybe a faker in some aspects of his life but his mental pain is real.

But, on the first day of year 2021 I chose that I need to change something. That was the year I was going to turn 40 years old, and I just didn't want to die. I managed to find motivation in people like Tyson, that made me work harder each day. Five months from the day I started, my father died, and that really hit me hard. Mental struggles are tough even today, a year later.
But somehow, I manage, I find motivation in all kind of places, from different people who went through tough times. Today, I weigh at 265 pounds, I feel better, I work hard every day to lose even more weight. It's a every day battle within yourself.
Whoever out there is struggling, you are not alone. Stay strong, work hard.

Training everyday keeps me alive. I had lots of difficulties this year. I always have suffered anxiety attacks but I never told this to anyone. I always tried to battle it on my own. This year was the hardest for me. My engagement got annulled and losing a girl I truly loved was the hardest. Following the break-up I had an accident and I ended up breaking my spine in the process. I couldn't walk for few months. It was the toughest time of my life, battling the demons. But I always thought to my self as soon as I will be able to walk again, I am going to the gym. It was not easy but I am feeling great again. I loaded up my schedule, with boxing, lifting weights, swimming, cycling, etc. It helps me to stay alive. Anyone who is suffering out there just keep your self busy and do something, any sports, anything.

I am currently going through everything he talked about, I've never heard of him before never known him until this video. And everything he described is how I have been feeling. Lack of motivation, always felt a sort of loneliness my whole life and the past 2 years of my life just being completely gray. I have wanted to go to the military, and learn a martial art but have always had difficulties working out pushing through and making it. In those moments I will remember these things he's said. I will motivate myself to continue to strive and make it out of this dark place my mind and I have sunken to. I smoked alot of weed daily just to not feel as shitty about myself with a bunch of "friends" who all really feel similarly about themselves as I do but aren't as mindful about it. I do not smoke anymore 2 months strong and I've had legal issues that have made it difficult to find work. For almost a year I've been out of work. I will turn my life around I will come back from this. I promise I will be better for myself, for my daughter for the world.

Even if you aren't best at something or even if you're not good at all, you'll always feel better for having tried to do a little instead of convincing yourself you can't do anything at all. As long as you try, you'll continue to move forward and all of a sudden you'll be able to perform at 55%, 60%, 75%, 90%.

Nobody fights harder than a man who's got something to prove. In a sense, you could say, this man is fighting for every other depression-ridden person out there, to show them that if Tyson Fury could go from having zero motivation to even shower, to finally returning to boxing after 2 and a half years and go toe-to-toe against world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in just his third comeback match, to BEATING Deontay Wilder and being crowned heavyweight champion of the world, then anyone can make it back from the threshold.

I treated with my depression with exercise and when I got lost in the gym, inside my own mind, I found the man I thought I'd lost.
The discipline needed to create and stick to a routine slowly developed into being able discipline more and more of my mind and one day.....the clouds had parted and I was able to think clearly, drive my ambitions without help and steer my mind to better places.

This is the video I needed, not those "motivational" alpha male nonsensical videos screaming the "just do it" / "you can do it" attitude (they may be right, but doesn't help even a bit in my case).
I've been feeling depressed for almost 1.5 year : I feel empty inside, like I don"t have the motivation to do anything nor to talk to anyone, I keep isolating myself and keep telling myself that I'll deal with it tomorrow (whatever "that" is), filling my days with background noises to feel like I'm not lonely and to not think about my current situation (in my case it's random youtube videos, from the moment I wake up till I fall asleep; and also watching series and movies, more than I can count). Everything I liked before, I don't feel like doing it anymore.
I've lost confidence in myself, so the outcome is every social situation - even if it's not a confrontation - I tend to stay silent or agree with whatever is said, even if it means diminishing my self worth, and that just makes me even more depressed and inclined to hide at home.
Thank you Tyson Fury, for reminding me that I'm not the only one feeling like this

I’ve had a rough past couple months in my life. Being at college took a tough tole on me mentally. I realized I had anxiety and was always depressed. I was prescribed meds to help me. My parents knew I wasn’t as happy as I used to be. They wanted to help me. I also got caught in a gambling addiction. The reason is I had started off betting and got lucky and was up $1000. I felt on top of the world and let that get to my head. Next thing I know I get too carried away and lose $3000. I don’t have much left. It really affected me and my self image. After watching this video, I can say that I officially quit gambling for good, and I promise to get back the life I used to have. "When you lose control of your own mind, you're in a bad place." - I could sing a song about that. Fukked up so much within 1 year... getting up and get back on your path takes a lot of energy.
3:38 I'm crying right now for the first time in a while. A couple of months ago I felt the urge to just grab a bottle and get drunk, because I felt just helplessness and hopelessness within me. Nothing else was left. But then I remembered my dad - he's paraplegic because of alcoholism.
So, I said "no, you're going to fight, you might lose this fight, but you'll lose it definitely, if you start drinking." Everyday is a struggle, just going to work, working itself, studying, working out, having almost entirely sleepless nights and restless days.
*For everyone out there fighting depression, anxiety, bipolarity, whatever it is, I know your struggle, I'm thinking about death everyday - don't give up on yourself, maybe your family tells you that you're not sh!t, maybe your friends tell you that you'll never be sh!t. Maybe there's nobody who stands up for you anymore, you are just alone in this tight dark place. If you want to give up, find that one little spark of hope/strength/love for yourself and keep going. Possibly you'll make it out, I can't promise it, but perhaps you will.*
And a big "Thank You!" for the video!

Undergraduate here. You’re not alone, just remember everyone is in the same boat and most people leave college without a clue about what they want to do with their life. Just make sure you’re keeping busy, no shame in waiting for the storm right now to pass a little

Look into magnesium, theres different kinds. But ive just discovered we are all a bit low on it and people swear by it for their anxiety. Im going to try some out. CBD oil is also good I have a bottle and take a couple drops a day. Good luck amigo.

Hey buddy..dont try to be positive...
Just be with your feelings .....i mean just dissolve into the feelings..give your
100 percent to your feelings. Don't resist or try to control..the more you try to control...the more the feeling of unhappiness increases..this is because the very desire of your to stay positive creates division in your mind i.e the controller and the controlled.
      Controller---your thought to stay positive
Controlled--your feeling of unhappiness or in your case anxiety.
And when you give your 100 percent to what you feel or just be with that ....without trying to resist. Then that feeling of unhappiness (anxiety) vanishes.

This is inspirational but at the same time he still had money and a skill. Try going thru this when you have nothing to fall back on.

That's true. Having the money and the skills is a big help. But even if you feel you have nothing thats when we have to dig deep and find something. I'm sure each of us have something we can build on even if we don't have that right now. And maybe not having nothing to fall back on could be the very reason to say if I have nothing to fall back on I will find something to hold on to. It dosent matter how small that might be, it's a amazing accomplishment ❤
