Thanks for sharing results with your fans. We appreciate just being in the mix of such great brands like Adam's and RUPES. Glad to see you had some good results.
Oberk Car Care I am more than excited to begin using your products. Im tired of the polishing games and ready for results in the simplicity of your system! Chad with: CSJ Detail Co. LLC (Monticello IL.)
Rupes is now down to 3 polishes with coarse, fine and ultra fine are all new polishes. The coarse blue polish has way more cut and better finishing . The yellow pad is about 95% the same as the old pad . The Uno polish is totally updated as the blue and white pads and polishes have been significantly changed. New combinations where 3 years in the making .
Oh well aware. I'm looking forward to getting them ordered and using them. We visited their HQ in Vermezzo (Milan) Italy last year and got to learn about it. We placed a huge order right before the release so we still have several liters of product and probably a hundred pads to use up... I know if we were to order some of the new stuff, the old would just sit around.
@@ScottHD What would you say is the hardness of the clear on this test panel? Heard good things about Oberk products but need put Oberk against 3D and new Rupes for the future . Would be interesting with Rupes wool pads with all of these products. Keep up the great work.
Correct. I have thousands of dollars of their pads and compounds right now so after I use them up, maybe I do a "new vs old" to see how they've improved.
Scott H I can send someone to your channel. I got a bunch of their products for free to test as well. I’m a lot like you and been wanting to get into the YT seen, but I haven’t found the motivation to do it yet. Lol Love your content man keep it up
Nice comparison test of pads, compounds and polishes. I suggest a “ conclusion” section at the end where you award a numerical score to each product or simply rank them 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
Is it me or all there products are not very effective? I pretty much only use Meguiars compounds, polishes and AIOs. When I go after 3000 grit sanding marks I usually go with either M105 or M101 with a Lake Country blue HDO pad 5.5" on either a Rupes ES21 or a Torx 10FX and I can get the sanding marks out pretty easily I am surprised that the 1500 grit marks stayed behind after the 3000 grit sanding. I have always assumed that doubling the grit size was an effective method. I usually do 1500, 2000 then 3000 to speed things up but I really though the 2000 step was not necessary.
Something that doesn't have a ton of "throw/orbit" - this is a pneumatic Ingersoll Rand one, but there are several chinese copies out there, otherwise Rupes, 3M, IR, etc...they all aren't cheap, but you can sometimes find used ones on Craigslist, eBay, and the like for $100 or less.
@@ScottHD Thanks Scott. I got a small 40 liter Air compressor which is not suitable for pneumatic tools. I have to upgrade whole system just for sanding. I am from India and the least throw electric DA is Shine Mate ep603 with 12mm orbit. How about wood random orbital sanders with 2mm offset and also sheet sanders.
Well damn that sucks I just went and bought a bottle of it cause I heard old timers talk about how good it was and how their trucks shined after using it and how long it lasted but I guess that's long gone with everything else

Thanks again for letting us try them out. Definitely made a believer out of me.
Oh great , now I'm going to go deeper into the rabbit hole. Keep up these great comparison videos Scott. Your my new can't miss you tuber to watch.
Thanks! Have several planned. Much appreciated!
Oberk compound finishes down beautifully! It’s been my go too for a while now.
We are "converts" after getting to use it for awhile in our shop.

Have you tested chemical guys polishes/compounds?
Woulda been nice to do this test with Rupes new compounds/polishes as those are being phased out.

Was the Bauer a choice or just the polisher that was near?🤔

Great video, Scott! Also enjoyed the music. Do you know the artist(s) on the last two songs?
I'll let you know. They are from the UA-cam royalty free music library.
Good comparison, It would be nice to know paint thickness before and after.
With 3000 grit, probably not much different.
Did you like Oberk over F1 & F3? Been very curious to try after hearing lots of great things about them
I have tried F1/2/3/4 and they work well. If you're putting me on the spot between the two, I prefer the Oberk.
I'm loving your channel, been watching videos all day! How would you say the Oberk 2 step is compared to Meguires 105/205?
Is it possible to match voice audio level with music overlay?
seems to me like you've got a bit too much throw from that polisher to finish off nicely. try a 15ish mm throw next time..?

Can you suggest me electric DA for wet sanding. I dont want to invest heavily on pneumatic tools at the moment.

That would probably work if I had to guess.
love the series
