Assalamualaikum! This was a good Session! I don't think you should ever stop making DUA to Allah, cuz you don't know when it's gonna be answered! It could be in this Life or the Hereafter! Be patient! Allah knows what we need more than we do! Jazakallahu Khairan

MasyaAllah I have that kind experience too, I desire something in life since 2005 started praying but at that time was a little bit on and off
half-hearted dua..
Not until i got the appendix issue, i remember clearly begging Allah at tahajjud for the first time crying until my tear covered my face just to get cured without surgery because i had burdened my parents for the cost of surgery of abscess half year prior at 2015
Allahuakbar it was just gone after couple time of making dua, just like that like it never happened.
Then i got inspired to continue my previous dua but with a different approach. I keep praying non stop for 8 years straight with passion, knowledge and persistent
Allahamdullilah He answered me, way more better than I imagined.
I think dua is like mystery we dont exactly know position of our dua, listening imam preaching about supplication is indeed helpful big but only us who know exactly our situation and how much desire we have
Sometimes imam just throw simple answer like "maybe that dua is not our best interests, maybe God had granted dua in different form. Those reason maybe true but who know if our dua actually just being delayed or we need to get proccess first
So for when do we must stop making dua? Just ask yourself that making it at the first place

Beautiful mashaAllah! This made me thinking, Allah mentions the dua of the father wanting a child in the quran, not the mothers.. today in certain cultures, when a couple doesnt have a child, its the woman who is in fault, so she makes the duas n the efforts to make it possible..
The more I am hearing the more I am learning by the grace of Allah(SWT).Alhamdulillah.

idk if my duas are gonna be answered i dont know if its good if i should continue to make dua i mean you dont know what if the dua is wasted what if all my duas are unanswered what is the purpose of making dua what if i lose when i make dua anyway

Also I tend to get the opposite of my duas WTF. Making dua has become a chore.
Realistically and logically when should u stop and accept the reality that ur not Gona get what u want. I think it's a unhealthy obsession to pine for something that ur not gonna get.
Allah can make anything possible, if He doesn't answer it or grant it then He knows best, He could be directing something bad away from you. Any unanswered Duas will be rewarded in the hereafter, you keep on making Dua, ask Allah if this is something worth pursuing or not.
Generally, please do not stop making Dua. Keep on asking Allah for forgiveness, and goodness in this life and the afterlife, for example. But in case of particular desires, like I guess the one you are mentioning in your comment, ask Allah to make you act towards making Dua regularly for the desired thing IF AND ONLY IF He has decreed it for you, or else stop you totally from making Dua for the desired thing IF AND ONLY IF He has not decreed it for you.
@@shaanemillat I think that at this point I'm in ground hog day. And it's affecting me physically and mentally. The unnecessary stress is unwarranted. It's better for me to grasp that better days are not coming. Things like that are just said to people to lure them into the religion.
