Yes, it costs money, but think of it as an investment in the future. I bought the whip. It's the largest amount I've ever spent on the game for one item. Before whip, it took nearly an hour to mine c-lat. Now, at T2, it takes less than a minute. Can get a full feesha in about 10 mins.
