I only use T’Laan where I don’t have the type specific Shakedown option. For the Explorers & Battleships, I use Hendorff or Leslie as captain, with Pike & Goon.
That works! I usually have Pike (with the PMT crew) grinding away in Monaveen space 99% of the time, so T'Lann is almost always available for me unless I have multiple ships to level up. In all cases, I either Captain with Pike or T'Lann since Leslie, Hendroff, Goon, Hadley, or Darwin don't have any useful XP boosting traits at the captain level, so I'd rather make sure Pike or T'Lann are in the chair, and any others are on bridge to maximize the payoffs. Thank you for chiming in, I do appreciate it!
For active XP grinding, use any XP officers you have (Pike, Goon, etc) and hit exchange surveys, they pay the best XP/kill that I have seen. Also look at prime enhanced analysis (Galaxy tree), its F2P and a 250% XP bonus. Also max FC Kirks skill, up to 125%. Finally, use the exocomps on your active runs
All great tips!! I have Pike/Goon (T'Lann) maxed out, and I also have the rest of the "Shakedown" crew that all have XP boosts as well, and then definitely maxed out the research and Kirk stuff. Also a few favors from Ex-Borg have some boosts in their faction store under "Combat Strategm". Good stuff and thanks again for commenting!
Prime enhanced analysis isn't f2p. You need 6700 multiphasic credits. At 5 per week from the recruit tab, that's 25+ years to get. Multiphasic credits, in a realistic amount, are a paid item, only available through the Scopely website, not the Google or Apple stores. You'll spend about $50 to get enough.
Pretty sure that it isn't optimal but I was told, and I haven't bothered to test it, that loot crew includes XP so I use E Picard, E Data, Five as my primary grind crew with warships. Then PMC is my auto grind crew so I throw them on surveys and support ships when I'm not auto grinding the Monaveen. Only exception to this is CoW when I will just throw ships that score more points in low augment systems for the run. If done correctly I can get the 2 million points myself and I don't have to worry about others in the alliance.
I use that technique specifically for mining ships. Just go down in system level until your mining ship gets the survivability you want. I can get XP for my combat ships through any one of the numerous hostile grinds.
Thanks for the input! Seems like a common strategy, I've started doing the same with my surveyors since I've hit the G4 side of things.. it's expensive! Thanks again and take care!
What's up Pheetus?! First off, thanks for checking in, hopefully the New Year is treating you right. I'm thinking of changing the room up a bit here as I'm wanting to get back into streaming again this year, but here's what I have: The back wall is black (I didn't plan that well, I know) and there are four lamps against the wall with Smart Bulbs that interface with my OBS/Monitor/Too many other things. In my recorded videos, the lights match the colors of my monitor based on what's on screen, but when live, they are controllable by sub commands and react to alerts/stream events. Lamps: amzn.to/400VG7N - SHINE HAI 3-in-1 Shelf Floor Lamp Smart Bulbs: amzn.to/3ZWiRQr - Philips Smart Bulbs Light HUE Bridge: (Needed to integrate the bulbs) amzn.to/49VKoX1 - Philips HUE Bridge I hope that answers your question and let me know if I can answer any others, I'm more than happy to assist. Thanks again and take care!
Thank you very much for this detailed video. I'm that gamer who won't pay shiploads of gold for upgrading my stuff, but i focus on the efforts and patient growth that made me attain nice levels on several games. Anyways, STFC is the kind of games where not all roads are good to take and i blame conceptors for this, as well as letting some 39+ levels raid in GROUPS a solo player with a modest 20+ level base.. for weeks. This is the best way to initiate a murder wish into a human being , and it worked. Anyways, i appreciate the possibility to know other paths due to your share of your own experience and appreciate the way you explain things. Makes a different light shine on this game mostly ruined by the 70% of excremented players i met. Wish you long and pleasant journey in your virtual life.
I appreciate the kind words! Unfortunately, you're 100% correct in that there are many players that take a nefarious approach to these types of games and I've seen many players come and go because of it and I fully understand the frustration that can bring. I'm definitely not into PVP at all and will only do so in specific events so I spend a lot of time checking my shields and I've hit lvl 47 to where I can live in deep space and "most" of the time, you get the more relaxed players out there that aren't looking to kill anybody else's good time. Thanks again for checking in and again, for the positive support!
@@taurhus i should definitely have checked my notifications sooner 😀 My apologizses. Thanks again, because of that new fresh hope to find actual friendly players at some point in the game, which will aim to superior quality nights than those i had in hate and avenging destroyed ships by some.. how to say that politely (?)... "not very refined mentalities", to say so. I'm very glad to have met your channel. Get sure i'll drag other people here when i meet people you can actually play with, instead of keeping them under "surveillance" in game. By the way, as for my own experience, i had better exchanges with german people.. but SOME german.. they also have their rogue teams that shoot whatever they meet, whenever, and any-ever-many times possible. ...Probably too much beer on their tables ^^ .. Wish you all the best, both in game and in life 🖖😎🍻
It definitely is starting out.. it does get a bit easier once you start moving up. Keep an eye on your "Combat" research tree for opportunities for the better ships as they come in, and research overall is extremely important, I'd say even more so than the ships themselves. Don't fall into the trap of "better ship = better experiences" - research and officers are truly key in this game at those will increase a LOT of needed stats. Thank you for checking in and I wish you the best of luck!!
It's really not. Especially now. You need to do the missions. Explore, open up the galaxy, do missions. Steal opc. Find the pve meta crew. Patient planning.
also be carefull if you want to buy ships with real money. some are very hard to upgrade even if you paid real money. the cube he's using is very hard to upgrade. will require you to get to level 33 just to upgrade it to tier 2, and it requires special parts that you can only get when refining materials that you get when you destroy a hostile using only the cube's special beam attack. that beam charges when you destroy hostiles by fighting them normally. can take 5-10 hostile to charge the beam for 1 use/attack and might take 10-15 ships destroyed just with that beam to get max amount of tokens to refine that day. it will take many weeks of daily play and refining maximum amount possible to get a smal number of those parts each day.
Funny that you say that! I'm working on an upcoming video specifically for the cube that you may like if your ship and level are high enough to bring that grind WAY down! Yes, the cube is an absolute beast to upgrade and so far is the most difficult one I've seen. However, the (long waiting) payoff is that the cube still has to potential to be the strongest and most fearsome ship in your fleet assuming you can keep at it and grow thee behemoth. Thank you for your input, I appreciate you being here!
I'd just spend latnam when you need like 200k ship XP at once. The conversion rate gets cheaper the more ship XP you need in bulk (highest levels of G3 ships or almost any level of G4 ships past 10 or so).
@@MatthewBluefox I do the same, but I try to focus on the FTP side of things first since I know many aren’t throwing the cash around. :) Thanks for commenting!
200k wouldn't be an issue to spend lat on but as u go higher in game u literally need like 5+ mil for a single level. Yrs for buildings, yrs for a single research. It gets pretty expensive that was especially if ur not spending on packs on a regular basis
I was looking for a better way..... augment space is good for low amounts 1-2 Mill.... but it cost in daily kill, which I think is set at 2500.... best I know is to get the XP crew and go to ECLIPSE space and kill the transporter's, you'll get 20,000 xp per kill
Hiya! Daily hostile kill limit (where you get any loot/xp/faction rep) is 2,000, then you're cutoff aside from mining or event points. Also depends on what factions you are aligned with, and if you are considered an enemy of any of them, you can park your ship in their space and they will also send ships after you if you want to AFK it. So say you're aligned with Rom/Fed.. and you are an enemy of Kil.. send your ship to Klingon space and you're good to go there as well, plus you get that faction rep for Rom/Fed. Eclipse is definitely good, I still do my kills there with a ship I may need to lvl up but I save those for the Thursday Apex events, two birds w/one stone thing. End of the day, the higher lvl hostile you can handle with survivability, the more XP you'll get! Thanks for commenting, I appreciate you!
As long as you have gained access to Augment space via Khan’s missions, this should work in any system in that space. Depending on your crew/ship strength, you may not last too long at first, but stick with the upper systems first until you grow a bit and can handle the larger ones. Thanks for checking in and good luck!!

Prime Enhanced Analysis is not a F2P research as it requires Multiphasic Credits which you get by purchasing things through Scopely direct.
Shame the Prime research is Ops level locked. I'm lvl39 on an Ascension locked server so that won't be an option for a few months minimum.

The XP really starts to rack up with the crew selection, research, and favors. Thanks for checking in, I appreciate it!

As someone new to this game it's so hard to get better ship and blueprints
