I was born profoundly deaf in both ears and I didn't like music until The Cars came out and I bought the first album in 1979. I keep playing the album with the volume up and I was only14 or 15 yrs old. Now I've been implanted with a cochlear implant and the first thing I did after they turn it on was to play The Cars. I am still learning the words to every song and enjoy the sound. Thanks, Ric! Keep up good work.
: This is the way it all started . In late 1976 I saw Ric & Ben play in a Stone Cellar in Boston sitting on barstools with acoustic guitars . I went with my brother Elliot and his friend Alan Kaufman ...
I was a teenager when the Cars came onto the rock and roll scene. So I grew up listening to them...I still listen to them....and no doubt, will ALWAYS listen to their music, it's just become a part of my life. I'm so sad that Ben and Ric aren't with us any more but I'm so thankful for the joy that they and the rest of the band brought to me and their millions of fans. The Cars: Often imitated...never duplicated.
☺☺Thanku Ric4 the awesome memories. The cars were and still are one of the best bands on the planet.luv the guitar riffs and lyrics.Made our parties rock and roll.Up there with the best.😈😈
Short & sweet but oh so neat. Brings back memories of high school. Heartbeat City tour summer 1984, Richmond Coliseum. We rarely got super groups at the Coliseum. They went to Merriweather Post Pavilion or D.C. Still have my sleeveless Heartbeat City t-shirt. Whenever I wear it, I get comments all the time. Where did you get that? Ric, this acoustic version is a little slice of heaven !
This band and Ben where absolutely unrecognized by the world it seems to me! I brings gosh darn tears to my eyes and to see and hear them now! Who tha hell where these guys!!? How come we know so little about them!!!!!?? What tha hell is going in here!!?
Who's the random dude providing the super subtle back-up vocals? Just some awesome fan or did Rick actually pay someone to be there just for that? haha 😂
Loved Ric.............great song writer. But this one was best sung by Ben Orr. Ric was possibly the least attractive front man of New Wave.......challenged only by Alice Cooper for that title. RIP Ric.

Oh the world knows who they are! It wouldn't have been junior high without a Cars song playing in the background .....
It gets no more mullet than this.
WAS THAT HIS WIFE PAULINA IN THE BACKGROUND?
:(
The Wedding singer lol
Rick would want you to support Rick Beato, not copywrite strike him .. fix this because you know it's wrong. Fix this, we expect better.
So is it Ric or Benjamin who sings this song?
Who's the random dude providing the super subtle back-up vocals? Just some awesome fan or did Rick actually pay someone to be there just for that? haha 😂
Great song but this is Ben's song
Paul Burnett It may have been sung by Ben but Ric wrote it and owns the rights to it so id say he should get to sing it.
@@randyred3240 I dont belive the idea was to sound like Ben Orr i think the idea was to pay tribute to Ben in his own way.
