It’s obviously not ideal to be a mother at such a young age, but they have stayed together and love their son which is more than a lot of older people do.

@Jordan Kelemen True, but you have no idea how hands on the parents are. You also don't know if the parents are making them pay for a place to stay, because of the extra mouth to feed. Diapers alone cost thousands per year, even the reusable ones that's constantly need cleaning. Then not to mention other things for the child.

People like to separate being a mom from having a kid. There are a lot of people I know that had kids very young and their parents paid for everything and took care of it most of the time. Being a mom is a lot harder when you have your own place to take care of, a job, bills, etc so that's probably where the judging comes from.

They take up behaviour like a sponge, and trauma stays for life. My mom only stated with my biological father for 4 years and it was enough to scar me for life, even 20 years later. I have vivid memories of domestic abuse. It's much better if a child grows up with one healthy parent than in an abusive home. @@catalinamccullough9777 I'm not a Christian and I do in fact believe we are all sinners. But that doesnt mean we can all celebrate and encourage sins.
I just found it strange how people here are so critical of the age factor and completely dismiss the fact we have all normalized fornication like it's nothing to be ashamed of.
It's strange that when I speak about the moral part of it related to God's laws, I get attacked. But when hundreds of other comments speak about the age (which isn't even a huge issue so long they are happy and married) then everyone agrees and don't make comments like "don't judge".
I know God is forgiving, but we can't abuse that. We try to live according to God's laws as much as we can. Yes we may slip and yes we may commit major sins, but we are encouraged to repent.
I have many Christian friends who either have children out of wedlock or just sleep with their boyfriends using protection and it just strikes me as odd how much fornication is no longer a taboo or "something bad"

      @catalinamccullough9777 4 роки тому +24

@@maggyhamada2560 I don’t believe I am encouraging sin nor do I believe others in these comments are. I feel encouragements for where I am NOW, not for what I have done. Why put down young parents saying they have sinned? You don’t think they know that? It’s counterproductive. When I am cradling my baby in my arms, I don’t need the stares or comments. What’s done has been done. I am well aware the tough situation I put myself, my son, my husband, and both our families in. But I am not ashamed for being a mother, I know in my heart that I am doing the best I can. This video is a testimony that although we may be young, we can overcome the adversity put before us, and to encourage young parents to not give up on themselves or their children. Religion is personal, and whatever choices you, your friends and family, or a stranger on the internet make is between THEM and GOD, and I am keeping it that way. He knows my heart. And I clearly am not one to judge on other peoples choices, I choose everyday to be a positive light no matter a person’s situation and I hope you can find peace to do the same. Thank you for commenting, have a nice day.

@@MisterDawn-p1x Having a child at 15 was immature. She’s matured since that and you could tell she is devoted to her child. Secondly, this has made her stronger. We all have trials and tribulations in our life in which we have ABSOLUTE NO RIGHT to judge. I myself have made a lot of stupid and immature decisions that have served me as lessons in my life. Thanks to them I’ve reached so many goals I never thought imagine-able. Many of these accomplishments have been things that most people won’t accomplish in a lifetime. However, I still have to do a lot of personal work that perhaps to others it comes more natural to. I’m a very prideful person and hold grudges. Being prideful, has led a lot of my accomplishments go downhill only to learn the lesson again.... PRIDE. Look within yourself and ask yourself when have you made mistakes? Were you immature? Do you have still immature tendencies? (Even as an adult) Are you kind? Are you humble? Are you honest? You know your faults. It might take some time to reflect but nonetheless, you know what you need to work within yourself.

They loved and took care of their mistake (which was the baby) despite all of their shortcomings. Not all of people their age have the capacity to do that. Hell, even older couple (or should i say, legally aged parents) were not guaranteed to be responsible parents.

Women's reproductive and bodily autonomy rights are always being argued while men not only don't have to go through pregnancy and their rights being questioned, but they also get to run away from all of their responsibilities largely with no consequences. Ehh I was 14 when I got pregnant and had my oldest at 15. Fast forward a few years I graduated highschool at 16, earned a bachelor's, my husband started a business and are making our way through life just fine. Is it ideal no, can it be done yes.

My mom was 15 & my dad was 17, when I was born - I am now 53 years old; I have a 32-year-old daughter and she's married w/3 children of her own, now. 💗
    God bless your little family.💗xoxo

They seemed like old souls in young teenage bodies. As a toddler mama myself hats off to her for her patience to her child. Seems well looked after.

They act like adults, which used to be normal. It's too bad our culture encourages youth and young adults to be so immature that young adults acting like adults is an unusual sight.

Cat is a legend. Very few people are that strong... Grant is a real man. He could have easily left them of. He chose to be a father instead.

What a horrible thing for your Mom’s friend to say! A true friend would have opened her arms wide and given you and your Mom a big hug. She would have been there for your Mom as a good listener and encourager.
You and your husband were both were reared very well because you are both doing whatever it takes! I’m proud of you both for being great parents!

I literally love it when something like this happened and the boy don't leave her neither their parents instead they do accept it together and love eachother equally as they love their child....
I literally love it that she is not a single mom like most teens are

I wish her little family the best! I got pregnant at 17 and gave birth at 18, I am now 23 and my son is nearly 5. My partner has always stuck by us and we are still together to this day. We have been together nearly 7 years. I don’t regret anything, our son changed our lives for the better! I don’t remember being judged by anyone but I didn’t really look for it 😅 love from the UK! 💕
