I’m in St. Tammany parish…rocking and rolling again, we know the drill. Prayers and thoughts are always welcome…the nasty part is always after the storm when everyone is stuck on generators in 90 degree weather and scarce gasoline. Let’s hope it’s moving fast and won’t spin off too many tornadoes.
It’s amazing how accurate these models have become. My first time visiting your channel, appreciate your knowledge and professionalism. I live in Gulfport, MS so I’m subscribing so I can check back in during future storms to come. 😎
I'm currently in New Orleans, above the French Quarter on the Esplanade Blvd Ridge,so I'm not so worried about flooding as it's the rain/ wind pounding. Never count on the power in these here,Wednesday will be a wild ride for sure. Had a feeling it was time when the Gulf blew up 2 days ago, about time for a sneaky one to pop up. My biggest concern is any homeless people stuck outside in these. If you're going to pray for someone, pray for them,no one deserves to go through one of these like that.
Thank you Josh! Very very informative. How often will you be planning to do updates? This is the best and most helpful information I’ve heard!!! Thanks again!
@@joshsseverewx , I've never heard of that, but sure enough, I looked it up and you are right!!! I stand corrected, 63 and still learning, thank you Josh, and we're battening down the hatches!!!
Hey man thanks for taking time to do this for us. I live in South MS in Biloxi specifically about a quarter mile away from the beach. How many and how bad will tornadoes be basically on the Biloxi beach?
@@joshsseverewx Thank you so much. Would it be better to head more inland like Vancleave/Latimer? We have family there with a brick home. What EF ratings are we looking at? Thank you again so much and bless you and yours 🙏
Tornadoes are extremely difficult to predict in landfalling hurricanes. There was a deadly EF-3 in North Carolina in the middle of the night when Tropical Storm Debby hit South Carolina. Going inland would help, especially to avoid storm surge, but I don't think you avoid the tornado threat.
Oh MY!!Not New Orleans. I get tired of how they worry so much about them and not the rest of the hit areas. Then they continue the lie a storm surge during katrina caused the flooding. They just will not admit a barge broke lose and damaged a levee that breoke and flooded N.O. not storm surge.
Regardless if it was a barge or surge or malfunctioning pumps the death toll was high and it’s not far enough into history for people to remember floating corpses. Have a heart man
How so? It's a hurricane now, and will continue strengthening overnight. I've been talking about this risk for the Gulf for over 10 days now. It's going to hit as a hurricane. Shifts left and right are common up until the final 12-24 hours, hence the cone.
Why every time it's no longer going to Houston all of a sudden it's going directly to New Orleans I mean every hurricane I'm starting to think all your people do that s*** for the views because y'all either one Houston city views or y'all want New Orleans views
I can tell you that since Josh has immediate family in Louisiana not far from New Orleans, we would not prefer to even jokingly hope or push out news for a New Orleans hit. But if mentioning New Orleans gets those folks to take precautions, as they should, then mentioning them is a good thing. #trollingatitsfinest
@@tamaranagelberg4761 I am not trolling I am from Southwest Louisiana and all these weather people act like New Orleans is all of Louisiana it is not all of Louisiana Katrina was 20 years ago theirs was because of a levy flooding not because of a dangerous hurricane Southwest Louisiana had hurricane Laura on record was the hardest hit hurricane ever and they still treat our side of the map like we don't exist these days everybody want truth speakers trolls
Did you not learn anything from Beryl? The storm was not forecast to directly hit Houston but yet millions got the eastern eyewall and lost power for days. Unfortunately the setup looks similar for New Orleans even though the official landfall point is 70-80 miles southwest. If you watched the video, you'd have learned that.
I live in Coastal Louisiana. This is the best tropical storm analysis I have ever had the privilege to listen to.
Of all of the information I've looked at concerning this storm; This was by far the best. Great job Josh!

Hey Josh, it's Atchafalaya Basin, not Bay, I'm here in Nola French Quarter!
I was referring to the bay at the mouth of the river near Eugene Island (St. Mary/Terrebonne line)

Biloxi is "the landmass between Nola & Mobile" 😂 according to the weather channel from past hurricanes

They worry more about New Orleans because there is a much higher population there and thus a much larger potential for loss of life.
