Just had the complete timing chain kit put on my 2011 F150, 3.7. It started running bad, sometimes shutting off when sitting at a red light, advance track signal came on, at first it would show a wrench, but doesn't do it anymore. I'm glad this video popped up. I'm gonna go to my local Ford dealership and get one, on another note, my throttle body went out, I changed the mass airflow sensor first, didn't help, threw the one I took off away, (big mistake). Guess I'll get a new one of them from the dealership. Thanks
I have a 2014 f150 3.5 . I still have a crank no start every once in a while. Timing chain job done no check engine lights . Starts on second try no problem . Relocated fuel pump fuse kit done . Replaced fuel control module . Replaced low pressure fuel pump and still does it . Thanks for the help
I have a 2013 F150 3.5 liter engine I got it in good conditions with 58,000 miles on it Really clean truck from outside and inside The engine looked really clean as well and on good conditions. Since then I had this truck for almost 5 years already Since then is been working really good with no issues Probably because I don’t drive it that much or that long from my city in a small city in Iowa Drive it just like two times a year for work which it was like an hour alway from home Besides that just 15 miles from home every day for work Since then I moved out from Iowa state to Houston Texas and had it here for almost 3 years now Since I been here in Houston I‘ll Been putting it a lot of Miles in it ,which now day it has 138,000 miles on the engine Notice that is being given me and starting to give me a lot of problems because right here you have to drive like crazy and really far away for work Always like 45 minutes to an hour alway Truck started to shatter and click and ticking sound Besides throwing 02 sensors codes and camshaft sensors Plus leaking gaskets on valve cover in the passenger side Now it looks like it wants to shutdown besides doing all that shattering and ticking sound also throw the low oil pressure message just one time while driving trying to shutdown itself but made it home then got worse Now it turns but makes a lot of noise from timing chain and cam Phasers Went to mechanic for an estimate and got a quote for $4800 dollars to fix the Rattle noise which it’s a little pricey Any advice? Not sure if it worth it to fix it or just let it go and get a new one instead
Well 4800 wouldn't be bad if it's to replace both water pumps, oil pump, timing kit, phasers, vvt solenoids, spark plugs and valve cover gaskets. If you wasn't so far away I could do it for you. I have a transport company that gets cars from other states. Nay cost too much to do so though.
Hi, I have issues with electronic components on my 2015 f150 lariat. No sound / no cameras. Cameras only would work for short time with bad quality when cold and when vehicle worms up then just colourful vertical lines and for all 4 cameras. I don't believe that it is wiring issues but one of the models. I swap original radio with after market one (plug and play) but no different, the same issue.... I'm at the point to give up.. Dealer said sound issues because ACM is bad but I told them new aftermarket radio does not have sound as well. I'm looking for second opinion because dealer will not reimburse the money for ACM if it is will not fix sound issue.
I have a 2012 f150 3.5 ecoboost. Brother I have had a rough idle issue similar to this just not as much of a aggressive rpm bounce. I will try replacing this top map sensor and see if it tames the idle. Under load there is zero bounce or shudder just at idle and really rough on a cold start. What else could be the issue if the new sense doesn't fix the rpm bounce? Never thrown any codes as well.
@coreyweiss825 make sure you get a dealer part. Second, are you throwing timing codes at all? Could also be the fuel pump driver module or boost sensor. Can you read data?
@@KnDautorepairs the truck has never thrown a code since I've owned it (3 year's). Had a Goodyear shop tech hook up a scanner and nothing. Not sure if he fully understood what it should read. I've done plugs, coils, checked for vacuum leaks, installation of a catch can and tried a cleaner fuel. I have noticed upon heavy acceleration, the rpm will go up but at some point will almost lag or dip down just a little without decrease of load on the accelerator. Valve cleaning maybe? Mpg has dropped from about 17-19 to 13-15 and I don't speed or get on it much and I'm probably 80% highway miles.
@@KnDautorepairs the entire timing components were replaced by a Ford tech about 2 year's ago at the dealership. I really feel like it's air and/or fuel issue but cannot pinpoint it.

Take the power relay out and then put it back in and it'll start right up try it out and if it doesn't put a new relay in it
@@RonnieYoung-zx8wu fuel pump relay ?

Since then is been working really good with no issues
Probably because
I don’t drive it that much or that long from my city in a small city in Iowa
Drive it just like two times a year for work which it was like an hour alway from home
Besides that just 15 miles from home every day for work
Since then I moved out from Iowa state
to Houston Texas
and had it here for almost 3 years now
Since I been here
in Houston I‘ll Been putting it a lot of Miles in it ,which now day it has 138,000 miles on the engine
Notice that is being given me and starting to give me a lot of problems
because right here you have to drive like crazy and really far away for work
Always like 45 minutes to an hour alway
Truck started to shatter and click and ticking sound
Besides throwing 02 sensors codes
and camshaft sensors
Plus leaking gaskets on valve cover
in the passenger side
Now it looks like it wants to shutdown besides doing all that shattering and ticking sound also throw the low oil pressure message just one time while driving trying to shutdown itself but made it home then got worse
Now it turns but makes a lot of noise from timing chain and cam Phasers
Went to mechanic for an estimate and got a quote for $4800 dollars to fix the Rattle noise which it’s a little pricey

Thank you so much
I cleaned and became clear %90
Awesome. Glad to hear.

@@coreyweiss825 could be the fuel pump driver module honestly. You need data to diag properly.
MAF sensor is on top of engine and MAP sensor is on the manifold right?
@Jikickz the MAF is on the air box and the MAP is on the intake
So do i need to change both sensors the MAP and MAF sensor?
@Jikickz depends on what your vehicle is doing. Buy usually the MAF isn't bad and just needs to be cleaned.
