Lately ive wanted to settle on the asp for regular use.. but there's just something about its hull shape which never satisfies. Oh, it's just awesome you continue this series dear @ObsidianAnt! Many players (especially the new ones) often aren't aware how many awesome and breathtaking places and moments Elite can provide, so IMHO this video is one of the MUST SHARE IMMEDIATELY ones ;-)
Just a little bit of nitpicking: can it be that Mitterand Hollow actually doesn't have a day-night-cycle? From my observations on my last visit, it looked like the moon is locked towards the main light source, and the "night" is actually an eclipse caused by New Africa. ;-)

I recently discovered two great ones past the galactic center. One system is a neutron star and I think it's a red dwarf, tightly orbiting each other. There are two planets very near that have spectacular views of both. I also found two ice planets with rings orbiting each other, and you can land on one. It's a pretty view. There is some amazing stuff in this game if you take the time to look.
I keep hoping I'll find a massive Earth-like planet, but I'm beginning to think they didn't put that in this game.

It's a real shame that explorable planets in elite don't have more greatly exaggerate features like in this video, landing on a baron featureless moon can only provide so much entertainment, one thing I've always wanted to do in elite would be to explore the debris field of 2 recently collided planets, or actually whiteness a black hole consuming the gasses of a nearby star, unfortunately the game doesn't simulate either of those things

My friend(not really anymore) screamed at me to watch this video. I hope it's good, since it just cost me a friendship.

This video shows the real reason why people still play Elite Dangerous. Not the engineering or power play, but pure and simple discovery. Shame that Frontier doesn't seem to grasp the hint and instead choose to get rid of such amazing places in favor of adding drones and thargoid killing weapons. Like that one station that would pass through the planet's ring every so often. Or that moon that you could warp through while you were among the planet's rings.

I've stopped going out and looking my self. It never looks as good as your videos do and it leaves me disappointed. So thanks for sharing and damn you for making my version of the game feel inadequate even though it's the same minus the ultra wide and the reshade. When will E:D enable the nvidia Game filter/reshade thing?

Oh, you go ahead and try it on the PS4... I can't stand playing on the PC even with/without Vive any longer, but the game really looks like shiiite on the console (not even mentioning the broken skybox).
Oh, well, at least they fixed the tilt bug...

Myeah, seems they don't give a god damn f'in shiiite about the regular PS4 anymore... Planets look like Minecraft now.... But again, at least they fixed the tilt bug.

Blue light accelerates retinal aging, just saying, that's why elite is in orange, warm colors.
And yes i also love blue color, but i change it for the better of my eyes.

Uuuuh... Is it normal that i can't go in the Synuefe one? I've tried just now, the ship doesn't engage glide, just drops from supercruise, and if i try to go down at normal speed the computer tells me i need a permit... And since i don't want trouble i leaved.

I suspect the planet that was close to the star was perhaps at perihelion when you were able to scoop fuel, unless ED doesn't use elliptical orbits, and this time you were closer to aphelion.
