I’m think of getting in but if I get one will I have to buy anything else (I already have a monitor) do I need something like graphics card or something or does everything come in the pc
My Alienware PC with an RTX 2060 Super and Intel core i9 K 10th gen arrived yesterday! It is a BEAST for Roblox! Can’t wait to download a few more games!
same lmfao. mine waa gonna come aug 12 at first the the dell support guy gave me expedited delivery so now its aug 6th. still awhile though. and he gave me about $150 off of the total 2,700 some lol. stupid covid
Looks awesome, I just ordered the R10 Ryzen and too bad it does not give you the option of the "extra" RGB offered in the Lunar Light version of the R11.
lmao just saying to everyone who got this I have the r10 and you will need to switch the front intake fan to a quieter one cause it makes so much noise when gaming...
Nice video I'll get mine In a week I hope it is not super loud under heavy load. I was going to build one but right now getting from Dell is cheaper plus one year accidentall damage/hardware warranty/18months zero interest.
The computer looks amazing, especially with the new design along with their FX lightning at the front. Might I ask, how do you find the computer under load? More specifically, when gaming, does it sound like a semi vaccum cleaner? I had a R9 but returned it for a full refund due to the sound level being unnaceptable, around 60 decibel when under load. Hopefully the R11 is somewhat better in that regard.
I've only had it a few days, and while the fans do crank up a bit under load, it isn't really that loud. It is a front intake, and mainly top exhaust. I used my mic to measure sound levels at 20 inches away from the side of the case on the right side. I measured between 50 to 55db under load. My office runs just right at / under 30db in the summer with the central AC and ceiling fan running.
I ordered mine on May 16th, it was supposed to arrive today June 26th. I reached out to customer support a couple of days ago because it was scheduled to ship on the 23rd. Turns out it's still waiting for parts. (I opted for the i9-10900k, which seems to be back ordered in the few other places I checked so that may be the problem). My new receipt date is July 22nd. This isn't my first Alienware, plus I thought with a brand new CPU there might be delays. I wanted this for Cyberpunk 2077 in September, but now it is pushed back another two months and MS Flight Sim which still doesn't have a release date, so I can be patient.
I does kind of suck due to the "human malware" problem that PC parts have become so hard to find. Crossing my fingers that Dell doesn't push back ship dates.
UPDATE! As I said above: on 6/25 Dell sent me notice that the delivery had been pushed back to July 22nd. Just read a new notification from Dell (sent at 6:00 pm on a Sunday no less) that the Aurora R11 will be here on July 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!! So for the rest of you there is hope that Alienware is back on schedule!
Yes, the system is uses an all in one water cooling for the CPU. The GPU is air cooled. I plan on making a video showing a better look at the internals soon.
It is a Dell branded motherboard. Dell has the purchasing power to get companies like MSI to make their own branded MOBOs (not saying it is MSI, but they have a history of working with them). The 2070 Super in this case appears to be a PNY brand with a blower style fan and heatsink.
NO - only power cable - I have been using a 6 core i7-9030 for the last 8 years and ordered the R-11 with 10900KF and temp 2080Ti that I will give to wife and replace with Asus 3090 when ever I can get one
For a 2070 Super the extra AIO GPU cooler really isn't needed or even offered by Dell. That said, I don't trust the build (or even the benchmarks) of the AIO GPU cooler that Dell offers for the high-end GPUs. How do I service it? What do I do if I need to replace the cooler or parts? What happens if there is a problem with it? All of these things pretty much guarantee the end of the GPU with the built in Asetek water block as they use proprietary non-serviceable parts. Combine this with the stupidity of Dell using percentages to compare arbitrary means of measurement in their marketing materials to show how 'great' their GPU cooler is makes me think their marketing department is void of anyone with a basic education in statistics or engineering (no surprise; it's marketing). Compare this to the 120mm AIO CPU cooler which is easily serviceable and user replaceable with off the shelf components. All of this cooling the GPU problem could be solved had Dell opted to include a second 120mm intake fan like I mention in my cooling video.
@@theonlyjoe6036 I full-heartedly agree with you. However, by doing extensive research on the Aurora and all the other boxes out there, I have fallen in love with the design of the case. So I will have to admit to myself to let a great design that I really like, drive me towards an Aurora. To be frank, its the only box that kind of could resemble something spacy. There was a nice one on the Bay I wanted to get, but I guess I will save up a bit longer and shoot for newer Nvidia 3080 version. More to come, I will be happy to report back. Do you keep yours, or was it just a review unit that will be sold again ?
@@Guanaalex It is my personal unit. This is the first pre-built system, and I'm quite pleased with it. I decided to buy a new system due to certain parts being difficult to find / over-inflated prices due to the pandemic.
