One of the main reasons for us to move from Vancouver to Philippines! Even with our very high incomes, the cost of living there was difficult. Warm weather and sunshine, cheaper prices here in PH.
I love this breakdown!👏👏 Not gonna lie...I think of all of them (although Nova Scotia has a demand) Alberta is looking like all things considered it would be more affordable. Good one Kristina!👏
I live in BC one hour away from Vancouver. And it is generally cheaper and more manageable than in downtown Vancouver. Also as you have already said, if you are good at saving money you can get things much cheaper.
Wow. You are impressed how much research you put into this. Great job breaking things down like that. Really impressed. Keep up the awesome work and informative information
As an American who is thinking of moving As an American who is thinking of moving to Canada,N.B and N.L look the most interesting to me because cost of living is a huge deal for me,I don't care about fancy scenery as much as I do survival.
You are missing a big part in taxes paid: everyone has federal income taxes to pay in Canada, but there is also a provincial income taxes in some provinces that are not negligible. Like in Quebec, the income taxes is always bigger than what you pay to the federal, and this on average reduce the income of anyone living there by another 12-18% - all in the name of (invisible or non functional) public services. Edit: The other thing also you need to add is the average household income in each province. Edit2: So with all that taken into account, stay away from Quebec province as they will suck you dry - I know, I am living there since the last 5 decades...
im a canadian born and raised here ive never left my city or even my block ,how are you immigrants moving from province to province when you dont like it?

All in all, Toronto just needs to make house more affordable and it wouldn't be so bad. B.C. makes no sense at this point!
