I just picked up my brand spanking new F80QD yesterday and your video was super helpful to understand all the basics of this nice piece of kit, thanks!

    Great video! Thanks!
One question though. How do I know that the film is loaded correctly? It doesn’t seem to make any sound after taking a picture.

Hey, it will make a wirling noise. Once you feed it in and close the lid, if your press the shutter and it doesn't make a sound then it's not loaded. You will see the slot where it shows the shot number move as well. It sounds like it just hasn't fed through.

Cool video. Thanks. I rewound the film by mistake after shooting 9 frames but managed to get the leader out. Any idea how do I skip to frame 10 directly ?

Hey mate. I can't lie, I don't actually know. You can manually wind it upwards but you would have to guess. It takes about 30 seconds to wind down a 36 film stock so I'd guess at 9 seconds winding maybe one more to be sure. However, I'm totally winging this as I haven't tried it my self. Super interested to see how you get on though, so let me know.

You just put the film back and take 9 pictures with the cap on your lens in manual mode and in a dark room. Just to be sure that no light enters. And then, from there, you keep going

I don't have an analogue camera anymore. This is a question not a criticism but I thought all cameras had an arrow to show you were to position the film when loading. Correct me if I am wrong. My memory may be wrong?

Yeah it sort of does. It has a red dot or mark to were you put the end of the roll before closing, didn't get that in shot so thought I'd say the trick about following the curve 👍. Hope you are ok by the way and thanks for watching.

Cool video, except you got the metering all wrong!
The dot is (spot metering) the center is (matrix metering) and the one on top is (center weighted).
They have nothing to do with focus either.
That’s all done on the focus area dial/wheel on the cameras back door. ✌️

Ohhh thanks so much for telling me. I totally messed up that part. Think I managed to save my self on the focus later in the vid, have no idea why I said focus at this point. Cheers mate, I'll get a correction on the vid
