    Cool videos ive never seen this type of commercial line fishing. Im a cray fishermen from bass strait/ the roaring 40,s and screaming 50,s . Its freezing cold and huge seas and working in 35 to 40 knots is fairly standard practice down there .. big seas with 2 or 3 tonnes of water smashing over the bow and washing across deck is not uncommon either.. certainly keeps you on your toes .. the water down there is so cold , its like someone throwing a hand full of needless into your chest , it instantly removes all the air from your lungs and all you can do is breath backwards for around a 20 seconds straight until you finally exhale. Its great 😂.

    Any reason you havent gone to power electric or hydraulic reels, looks like hard work hand cranking?😊

      Just cost and availability. Not really worth investing in them to finish off what we have to catch. But will probably get some for next season.

    G'day mate, love your footage and hard work. I'm heading up 20th April, but it looks like a full moon, is that any good to fish?

    Should definitely invest in a hydraulic bandit reel save your arms a ton of work.

    Quick question. I see you use chain for your sinkers, Does this bring the fish in? The noise bashing on the bottom? Im scared to use chain in fear of sharks homing in on it just for anchoring in Cairns GBReef

      I have heard some people think it dose help attract the fish, but who knows. As for the sharks also who really knows but it docent seem to any worse than normal.

    So leading up to the new moon ya reckon the fish feed better at night. Any more tips on the feeding times according to the Luna calendar mate?

    • @SeaforceCoralBay
      @SeaforceCoralBay  5 місяців тому +1

      All I know for sure is there are no definite rules. But in general leading up to full moon and new moon they will be on the bite and generally around sunset and the moon and the sun set and rise around the same time. They don't particularly feed more at night, but if the day is quite they need to come on at some point

    I love how undersize snapper get reclassified as pan size as soon as they are commercially caught.
    Respect for your job but rules should be equal

      Not quite how it works mate, but I do respect your concern. But judging by your attitude on your other comment I think I might be wasting my time explaining it. Thanks for watching but feel free not to if you don’t enjoy.

    I always brain spike 30mins after they land on the deck.
    Why even bother ! Let alone film it. I would rather catch nothing that come out on your charter
