That Tracer change was funny because that was her old range before role queue was introduced. If they buff her pb dmg to 400, she's basically back to OW1 launch Tracer minus the season nine changes.
Honestly it should’ve been reverted to 400 back when overwatch 2 came out but especially now

the game wasn't good at all on 6v6 by the end of it, only downside of 5v5 was that u didn't have a 2nd tank which was better in a lot of ways as well.

Well I mean he does a TON of Damage if he can swing but he really can't since the DPS Passive without specific number tuning just makes him get deleted and someone pointed out his ult technically got nerfed (again since there was no specific tuning) with the HP buffs so its harder to kill Shattered targets. He is arguably the worst tank rn even over Roadhog and Mauga. @@gabrielludlum6248
He'll have his niche just let him cook and simmer. In Paladins, they have anti heal for all characters scaling up to 90% throughout a match. Shield characters are pretty meta cause you can "cleanse" the anti heal debuff and it lets your Supports full heal you and the team. The "Rein" of Paladins is pretty good if not for anything, then specifically for that. I imagine Ramattra and Sigma gonna be better than they were for that reason too.

These projectile size numbers are actually incorrect, you are showing the change in this new multipliers they added but you need to add the base size they always had, they themselves messed up the patch notes regarding that
As a widow player. I'm okay with this. Feels more like a buff than a nerf. Increased range so I don't have to charge to 100% AND I get 200 HP to deal with sombras. Let's goooooo.

As a widow player. I do not care who cries. My only agreement is that ximing on console should be a bannable offense.
Everything else is a "cry me a river" "skill issue" sorta thing. Like you could work as a team and go full dive. Coordinate better.
Or better yet. Use widow yourself and diff them. If you can't then idk what to say. She's not oppressive on every map. Her win rate isn't that high compared to soljourn/tracer. Who are good on EVERY map.
@@lostxnxyou Widow is literally a character that forces everyone in the lobby to entirely change their play style, if you don't see how that's broken than I don't know what to tell you. Also, good luck trying to dive her on maps with far range sight lines, like circuit royal. Especially when your team isn't willing to swap and go full dive to counter her. And as for the "widow diff them" argument, you realize that not everyone plays widow, right? Like, I can't just go widow and expect to diff the enemy widow that's shitting on my team if I don't play her, especially if she has a pocket and I don't. Widow was fine with the 6v6 format in Overwatch 1, but I just don't think a character like that belongs in 5v5 when there's one less tank to dive her. Just my opinion though.

And honestly the targeted heroes are actually for once correct.
There are of course some other issues like zen orbs being meteors but I guess we will have to see how these nerfs affect his performance overall before the mid-season patch
Tbf, everyone knew most of these changes had to be done after checking them in the practice range. It's still puzzles me, how some of these changes made it through QA.
It's almost like they made it intentionally worse just to fix it, so some say how fast they are addressing it.🧐
Yeah but none of the changes really helped with anything, hog is still awful, junk can't 2-tap someone which is the reason why he's bad; still being the worst dps, widow's falloff was increased??? Despite being the best dps. illari's pylon is still useless, it's now able to be useless for longer. The only changes that have any impact are the hitbox changes and -25 hp for zen which is hardly influential
Hanzo has been nerfed into the ground, idk what youre talking about. Hes probably the most useless character in the game rn cus they decided "lets agree with the crybabies that dont know how to NOT PEEK A SNIPER and remove the one thing that makes Hanzo Hanzo :D"

Imma be honest, i got scared of the Lucio nerf, though was something related to his boop, thank god it was not
I think comparing the size of the projectile directly is incorrect because the number is a radius. However, the actual hitbox of the circle is its surface area calculated from its radius. So, we should compare the square of the old and new sizes instead. For example, reducing the projectile size for Solider from 0.08m to 0.05m is actually a 61% reduction.
Im glad they addressed some of the issues during the first week of season 9. However, I feel that Junk is going to remain pretty bad despite the damage buff because frankly, it still doesn’t one shot combo like it was prior to season 9 and even though it’s frustrating, it kinda became part of what Junkrat was supposed to be for the longest time and it just hinders many that played the flank rat style at top ladder and descending downwards.
At the very most, i’d keep the maximum damage at a 250 hp threshold but lower the minimum damage by a lot so it’s less punishing if he whiffs. Hell, i’d go as far as to remove a bullet from him so he’s less spammy in favor for the change listed above.
It might be a slight bias from me but I generally do think Junk isn’t gonna be any good for the foreseeable future of the game and might as well just keep being a mindless tank buster and spamrat play style. I’m generally a tank player but Junk is just one if those characters I have fun with just by being a dirty little shit and hiding in their backlines waiting for the right moment to get them out instantly, which now longer is possible.
I would even take 225 or even 200 hp junkrat with five bulles at a lower fire rate. Two shot combo is the only viable way to play him.
Junk was the only reason I still played OW, haven't touched the game since season 9 started.

Just made his guaranteed damage higher so he at least doesn’t feel like he’s throwing boops out as much as actual grenades. But they probably will never bring the fabled 2 shot back.

the kick was kinda an issue for people diving on him though, and his health nerf will make it easier to take him out. still think discord needs to be looked at though

They should be now slightly larger than Season 8 but not as big as they were at the launch of Season 9, so it's still a net buff.

Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but is Overwatch just a constant series of balances and counterbalances? I don’t play any other online shooters so not sure if they’re doing the same thing but I feel like my preferred character is constantly changing based on who is meta and what characters the enemy team are using (and then, countering which ones they change to) 🤷🏻♂️
That's normally how every competitive game works, and should be fine if the company knows what they're doing, the problem with overwatch is that sometimes they don't know shit and just throw random numbers at a balance patch.

What if they did two pylons for Illari? Easier to keep up and each individual one heals at 50-60% of what the single pylon now can do. Its hard to have any uptime with her when her single pylon is so easy to find and destroy.

This is gonna sound weird, but the Lucio projectile size decrease might actually be a buff, especially for practiced Lucio players. I know personally it felt like sometimes the projectile would register as a body shot when it should've been a headshot, which ruins some combos. It could just be a me thing, but I felt like Lucio's primary fire felt more consistent pre-Season 9.

Sadge they needed soldier but kinda fair. My accuracy went from like 36 ish percent to like 45 lol
They increased everyone's bullet/projectile size & health but kept tire at the same 100 health, its so easy to destroy tire now, no matter how much you juke the tire, thats a huge nerf to junk's ult.

Illari's captive sun was had enough problems already being a dps ult on a support hero which essentially acted as an execution/finisher ult, sure it now has fall of range, but to increase it's damage is a really bad idea
if you look at the footage they actually nerfed the direct damage it does, making it more important to have the team follow up on the ult. The suns only explode if the players take enough damage. I'ts pretty much like Baptiste's ult where if the team doesn't capitalize on it, it's rather useless.

They should make junkrats projectile speed faster and also nerf the projectile size a little. Make him more like demo in tf2 were its more about using skill to hit conseccutive pipes rather than a spam playstyle. Then also mske his pipes do 125 damage to do a perfect 2 shot on ssquishies.

The Widow change seems pretty huge. I don't see why they wouldn't give the same treatment to Hanzo and Sojourn.
Kiriko also have some pretty huge kunais. I wasn't against the bigger hitboxes to begin with but they went too far with those
There was a post on reddit I've read that mentioned Kiriko wasn't included in the projectile changes, I think her Kunai is still relatively on the smaller of projectile sizes
Did Overwatch 2 recently restrict hero swapping in competitive mode? i can't swap hero more than 2 or 3 times
they probably shouldn't have, they didn't address it, the only hero swap locking ability is when echo duplicates your hero and you die when she is still in her ultimate, or else it could be a big but yeah

A nice change I wish they'd do (kinda like what they gave S76 FINALLY) is just give him an extra nade in his primary. Maybe increase the projec-speed and reload and we can start from there. It just doesn't feel good to play him now and hasn't felt great in a long time. Grenade launchers should shoot WAY faster than the eye can see... We can throw the damn things faster than he shoots them!!!

i might start playing tank if zarya is strong now because she is my fav tank to play if i ever played tank.
So they nerf widows range, that was the big widow nerf that makes the game good, then increase it back again bc she can hit shots to good.
Honestly a lot of these fixes are surprisingly good. I don’t mind Illari’s changes that much but they really need to reduce her projectile radius as well.

Yep, no meaningful changes for the tank role which currently feels fucking terrible to play this patch. The queue times are a massive indicator of this, often taking 10+ minutes to find a game in GM if you aren't queuing as tank. Nobody good at the game wants to play tank currently as you are beyond useless after the season 9 changes. It's actually unreal how clueless this dev team is.
