This song destroys me, I lost my partner and spouse of 20 years to Glioblastoma brain cancer April 2022 after a 9 moth palliative care journey. This song ignites so many emotions loosing someone so young, at only 42. You question everything, including your own mortality and reason for your existence, question why you didn't die instead, you live sad and empty going through the motions of living but never truly happy, having flashbacks on them dying slowly in front of you, unable to stop it. The harder you love the harder you grieve. As amazing as the 20 years was I wouldn't wish the life of a young Widower on anyone.
I like this song. This is very well done. It was also very nice of you to place the message at the end of the video dedicating the song to that gentleman and how to get help if someone is having trouble with depression. My first reaction to the video was kind of unsure about it...but it's grown on me...and has a charm to it. I do like the unpredictability of where you are in your music and videos...I really get tired...and bored with the narrowcasted music that the record labels mostly put out (a copy...of a copy...of a copy...of what came out last year). So this video is very different from your last 3 of the year...which I really like. You don't have to put pressure on yourself to be unpredictable...I just really don't know if you are going to do something similar...or different...and I like that...it make me wonder what's coming next...which makes your future music...and you as an artist...more fun to wait for. I think you did a really nice job with the begin lyrics and the ending lyrics of the song. Try to continue to do that. It will continue to strengthen your song catalog. The first time I only found 1 Mastering quality...Shelfing EQ...that can be used on the Individual Tracks...or on a 2 track Mix Buss...or on a 2 track Master Buss...which was a digital emulation of the...Pultec EQP-1A. The original analog hardware units were first introduced in 1951. This shelfing EQ is very unique...nothing sounds like a Pultec...and I was very happy to find a digital emulation that is quite good in comparison to the hardware...the hardware is a tiny bit deeper and wider...but not by much...it's very nice...it makes everything sound bigger. I am currently eyeing the UAD version...but there are a lot of decent versions of this EQ. So I was hoping to find something else...like a sweepable Parametric...SSL E Series Channel Strip EQ emulation...which would be more versatile...but all the ones I found were flat as a pan cake...which I didn't like...I was also not feeling the digital non-emulation parametric EQ's in my first look at them. So my first reaction...was...Uh Oh!!!...I'm in trouble...I don't know how to find a versatile EQ plugin. Which was kind of making me a little scared. The second time round I found a Neve 1084 EQ also digitally designed by UAD. This EQ is very good in the mid-range. It sounds very good on guitars and keyboards. It's a 3 band EQ with fixed eq options in each of the...Lo...Mid...and Hi...bands. It also has a 2 switch mid-range band width...Narrow...and...Wide. The hardware units were first introduced in 1973. This makes everything sound...Warm...and...Powerful. An example of this EQ; would be: Bryan Adams - Run To You Bruce Springsteen - I'm On Fire Once again...in the second round...just like the first round...I was stumped on parametric eq's. This third time round has been much better. A new SSL E plugin was released this year that has the most depth of field of any of the other SSL E plugins in the market today...it has warmth...and the versatility that a SSL E EQ has. This is made by Waves...and is called the...Waves SSL E V2...which is the first time they've updated their SSL E plugin in 20 year...so lucky me. This gives me a lot more versatility...which is what I've been looking for. The plugin seems very musical. The hardware units were first introduced in 1978. This EQ has kind of a...cut thru...punch thru...quality to it. It seems to make small things cut thru a mix. It has kind of a Warm Transparent sound in the Lo End..with a kind of Articulate sound in the Hi End. Slightly too blurry to be detailed on the top end...but very nice sounding on that Hi end. It also has a very good sound for vocals. Also my first look at Izotope Ozone Dyn EQ was enjoyable so that is also a possibility. I also think I've finally found an API 550A EQ Plugin that I like. The ...IK Multimedia T-Racks EQ-PA is the only API 550A EQ plugin that models the...Full Forward Sound that I've been looking for in an API. The hardware units were first introduced in 1971. It has kind of a Warm Transparent Lo End...with a Articulate Hi End. Once again too blurry to be detailed in the top end but very nice. An example of this EQ would be: Jackson Browne - The Pretender The Eagles - Hotel California Fleetwood Mac - You Make Loving Fun I still haven't found anything with the...Lo End Warmth...and Hi End Detail...of a MCI JH 500 EQ. An example of this would be: The Bee Gees - You Should Be Dancing Nor have I found a satisfactory emulation of the Neve 1081...with it's Warm Lo End...Articulated Hi End sound. An example of this would be: Steely Dan - Gaucho Olivia Newton John - Deeper Than The Night but I've probably found enough to be able to make some musical recordings with digital eq plugins...so I feel very relieved about this. I'll keep looking for Master EQ's and Digital Parametrics...but I think with the list I've found so far...I think I could make some musical recordings. It has kind of a Warm Transparent Lo End...with a Articulate Hi End. Once again too blurry to be detailed in the top end but very nice. An example of this EQ would be:

I still haven't found anything with the...Lo End Warmth...and Hi End Detail...of a MCI JH 500 EQ. An example of this would be:
