- Is this the future of golf? Golf Games in the past have been good but have never been like the real thing. Today, I'm testing the New Meta Quest 3, which, on it's own is mind-blowing but a company have called DeadEye VR which has an attachment that makes Virtual Reality golf feel very realistic!

Golfplus with a golf attachment is amazing .I've been playing it for over a year and find it so much fun with friends. I can play golf any time I want.
I play this 2-3 hours every single night almost for the last year. It’s insane once you calibrate it properly and play only pro v2 settings. I stay between +2 and +13 hcp and scramble is coming soon. Using that same attachment I’ve lined it up and it drastically helped me with my swing path and understanding.
It does def help you with the swing path, i use only the right controller in my left hand, and its awesome.. but when i go back to real golf it takes 60 shots to get the feel back of hitting a ball
It's cool seeing someone review this that can actually golf. Usually its someone getting it and reviewing miniature golf or swinging it like a toddler and not that excited at all about it. But seeing it used in the right hands gets you hyped about it! Hawk Tuah!
Golf plus really is very good. I had to stop so i could get back into real golf, but once i get my actual swing back ill play again. Throughout quarantine i only did vr golf, and the weightlessness of the contrillers conpletely screwed up my real golf game. However, ive heard others say as long as you do real golf just as much, its completely fine

@@OncleJerit’s still a sim. On pro mode it still has its challenges! As realistic as it gets right now
@@OncleJeryes it just the fat and thin shots that make the game easier as you can stripe almost every time

It’s absolutely brilliant, don’t let my difference in HC takeaway from how much fun the VR and game is. To have access to a fun and immersive golf sim from home and at work, you can’t beat it, and I can only see if getting better over the years.

Great video❤️. From someone who plays this game a ridiculous amount, you have nailed to sense if joy you get from thus game. You know its not real golf but that emersiveness makes it feel so close. It was great to see that you find the physics to be fairly spot on.

I 💕 Golf+ I'm using the Yezro grip (90 degree adapter) with my Meta Quest 3. And it is absolutely essential to wear the best halo style head strap, BOBOVR S3 PRO.

Al, you need to get a BOBOVR S3 PRO strap it'll make the headset way more comfortable. I love my DEADEYE Elite I use the steal shaft myself. Let's get together and play some rounds together. I just got my first VR about 3 months ago and it's unbelievable. Lol I'm even older than you
Haha! I’ve just ordered the strap but it’s not arrived yet. Along with battery too. I’m going to get a community tour going if we can get a few people together with it 👍
@alexetchesgolf sounds awesome!! I'd be down to play. I have 3 of the B100 batteries which I really only needed 2 and the charging dock is awesome to have. If you do or plan on traveling with your Q3 check out the BOBOVR C3 case also. If you're looking to get a comfortable facial interface check out OBLIK they're custom 3d printed for your face. I'm a BiG head guy myself so finding comfortable ones is hard. It's well worth the money. Idk if they're shipping overseas yet or not though. The KKCOBVR K3 isn't a bad option if they don't ship your way.

From a VR novice: Is this a space where you could take this set up and practice your actual golf swing (replace the driving range) or is it not there yet?
Love the idea but my worry is you practice here then add 10shots on the course.
I’d say it’s “easier” in VR still. It’s a close as you’re going to get at the moment. In pro (hardest difficulty) I got a lot of similar shot shapes. Distance was different but feel you can learn from this! Especially path and face on the hardest difficulty level!
I might have to give this a try. I have a Quest 2 with a weighted club adapter and it is just 'ok'. I hate to say it but my real swing wasn't showing up in the game like it in real life. It actually screwed up my swing and I played in real life if I hit around with it one or two days before hitting a real course. This one is a bit longer and may actually correlate better with real swings. I might wait until the winter because I do believe that you should be out playing golf but it might be nice to have as an option in the winter. I haven't fired Golf Plus up in about five months, maybe I will try it out again this fall.

If your setup has a buttonbox, get Reality Mixer and you could set it so that you can see your buttonbox, using the cameras of the quest.
Surely this is the future? No more queues on the first tee, no more getting stuck behind 8-fourballs from the Old Duffers Limpalong Golf Society, no rain, no slipping on mud and landing on your backside in February, no sweaty crevices in July, no losing that brand new ball in the woods.........
..........now i just have to overcome the feeling that i'll look a right doofus swinging a stick about in my garden whilst wearing futuristic welding goggles.🤔

This game is awesome... but i also found that after i went back to normal golf my timing had gone and id could only top the ball..
Make sure sun never shines in through the lenses or you can get major damage

to play online you have to be connected to wifi so just put your phone as the hotspot and you're good to go

Exactly. I broke a tv and the glass cover on my adjustable desk. I was high both times and wasn't paying attention. I didn't damage my club tho, so it's all okay. I figure soon I'll have broken enough stuff to have a bigger area to play in :)
Isn't playing the quest outside super damaging to the lenses??

Don't point the lenses towards the sun. Easy to do.
As long as you cover the lenses there is no issues at all

If you look at how the controller is set into the attachment, it has no chance of coming out.

@@alexetchesgolf Thanks👍 I also had it on quest 2 but have just got the 3. Went off the game because of no club weight and I seemed to have to do things differently to hit straight.
Can you adjust the strike length of the clubs to match your game?
I'm currently incapacitated and am looking to practice shot shape and swing power control.
You can change the length of the club in-game if that’s what you mean? Hope you get better mate
@@alexetchesgolf Cheers Al, what I meant was, I hit my 5 iron 190, can I set the game to hit a 5 that distance or is it pre-set to say 160 with a full swing?

You’re not an idiot!
The best thing about it is you just need a headset regarding gameplay. No console or tv needed. Regarding the game, you buy it on the Meta store which is all inbuilt in the headset too. The only extra thing is buying the club part at Deadeye VR which is no required but as mentioned, makes a huge difference
I prefer the Yezro Y13S with the extra Y11 weights.
I also highly recommend the BoBoVR S3 battery headstrap with two extra B100 batteries & the BD3 battery charging dock.

It is worth it if you're interested. If you have an Amazon account, you can buy it and send it back if you don't like it, I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't know. I've probably paid for my Quest 3 and the club attachment just in what I save from green fees and range ball fees and being able to golf as much as I want. I know it's not real but it's pretty close.
Just be careful with the sun on your lenses.. it will ruin them if you aren't careful
The only difference in VR golf games and for myself playing a real golf course, is we don't do all the walking between shots. Which the only thing we get is the swing exercise and no walking. Reading VR golf greens are not realistic to me, but again, it is better than nothing

I have a Quest 3 and for me it is a good winter time activity if I want to do some indoor golfing. I don't take these VR golf games very serious and is still not like swinging a real club and making contact with the ground on a real golf course in the summertime.

@hozzlerocketsempi2674 some people it takes a little longer than others to get used to it. It took me about 35 hours. I used to be only able to play for about 30 minutes and then gradually a little longer each time. Hope this helps.
I get terrible motion sickness in VR. But this play everyday without any issues.

I play real golf twice a week and it has already taken over my life .
Can’t think of anything worse than playing a game and being shite at that as well .

It does have the fun side to golf though. It’s not like getting slaughtered in the IRL course. I’d go as far as saying it’s one of the best spaces me and my mates have played in. Good banter
@@alexetchesgolf yeah l was kid of joking but not joking . I had the golf club vr for pc with oculus a few years ago and it was amazing but as you said it killed my real swing , made a real club feel strange and I then chunked everything .
If it was realistic you would start with 2 pars and start to think about beating your on record and finish with you walking up the 16th wishing you could teleport to your car 😂😂😂

Yezro is a better attachment I’ve used both
I’ve used all current and for me this is light years ahead! It’s far too short for any proper swing weighting or feel imo
