Such a wholesome moment idk why
Because of his laugh at the end the writer’s didn’t think Mike’s character could be capable of such laughter by this point.

I wish they showed more character development with Walt Jr. He was friggin hilarious.
@@stentor9640 no he wasn't. Actually he was the worst character of the series and I hated everything about him. I missed some important parts of the storyline because I skipped every scene he was in. I wish he was in walts money barrel hole with hank and gomey. Or better yet, he died in the opening scene of the pilot.

We're definitely going to see Jimmy in this laundromat when things inevitably go sour between him and Kim in "Better Call Saul"
It was when he just arrived in Albuquerque...when he dines with Chuck and Rebecca....say in 1992, I think it's 10 years until he becomes a lawyer. He mentions that Chuck helped him moving his stuff to the Beachcomber. "Which is nice because it's got a pool, and since the McGill clan is whiter than albino rats, I'm definitely gonna work on my tan." Now he ridicules the place. Also, we know hew as married at least once in BCS, my bet is he does marry Kim and after whatever happens when he loses her, falls to the dark side completely, along with some Chuck tragedy.

The writers did say there was a deleted scene from breaking bad that would directly clash with what they were gonna do in Better Call Saul so there’s a chance we won’t see it happen exactly like that.
Absolutely love how Walt rolled his eyes after he heard about "coming together this morning as a family" and discussing the airplanes crash.
I'm sure Saul now regrets nearly begging Walt to continue... (in the laundry)
And Gus asking for option B
I like how even Mike fell for Walter's bullshit; even though he understood it's bullshit, he fell for Walt nonetheless and agreed to partner up with him. The subtle, almost magical influence Walter had on everyone who was unfortunate enough to cross his path... and the sheer destructiveness of such a subtle power... A ticking bomb, indeed.

@@secundusytp4517, and yet for many of them it was not worth it to deal with Walt's destructiveness for any amount of money. And still they fell for that in the end - because of that subtle influence I talked about.
I would agree with taking out 2:13-17. I thought that not showing the pepper spraying and just cutting from Walt yelling at the officer’s face to him being take into the vehicle with red eyes was WAY funnier.
I love watching these, it really shows the skill of the editing team that they were trimmed.

It feels so surreal that any of these scenes arent canon but they are official so they are like what charecters do when we don't see them. It really gives a refreshing feel like characters of show out there living without us

In Season 2, Episode 5 of Better Call Saul, Jimmy mentions looking to stay at this establishment for the foreseeable future. The writers of this show even keep their stories consistent with the sodding deleted scenes over a half a decade after they've been deleted.

The scene about the Porsche should have been left in. I think one of the major themes of the show is about Walt regaining his pride after the many years of depression he faced post Grey Matter. He grew a thin little mustache, became a high school teacher, had a colorless attire, and bought an Aztec in place of his Porsche. He lost his manhood, and now he's getting it back. He's been craving it all along. It's a great scene.

I agree 10000% it should have been left in. They never really got into Grey Matter and how deep Walt was in it, and the whole Porshe thing and looking for a "bigger house" kind of gave one a prelude of what his life MIGHT have been like.

Have to love how the actors pull off the mixture of nostalgia, slight bitterness, and the awkwardness of the situation given that it was Jrs. cerebral palsy that likely as not forced Walter to no longer afford the Porsche.

This confuses me deeply. If they are related that wouldn't make any sense because in the prequel Jimmy states that him and Chuck are the last of the McGill family left alive. But I think they planted that there early on and came back to it later. Maybe that was why Chuck moved to New Mexico in the first place. Just a thought.
Normally I don’t find pepper spray to be funny but this is honestly a hilarious scene. And the scene is actually even more hilarious when it cuts out the part where Waltuh actually got hit

Defining manhood as what kind of car you drive and how aggressive/powerful/rich you are is a pretty unfortunate way of thinking.
If that's how you look at it, the way others look at it is a sense of pride. I've worked hard and made the choices/efforts I've made to get there. I didn't just follow a routine all my life and wish for things.

It's just not cool to say that seeking wealth and being the alpha type personality is the defining aspect of a man. Some men just want different things out of life, and that doesn't make them any less of a man, which I think is what OP was trying to say.

im not sure it was on purpose but if it was not its something on her vocal cords, my mom has once in a while, stays like 2 weeks talking like that
She lost her voice, same as me when I was younger.
Its probably why the scene was cut.
The scenes of Mike in interrogation are always comedy gold. He turns interrogation into an art form.

17:30 They should have left this in. It emphasizes that Walt, momentarily, has the upper hand in the situation. His point makes Gus’ “What is option B” all the more entertaining, because we already know which one he’ll go with to avoid the repercussions Walt mentioned.

I noticed the interrigation scene is actually pretty much uncut in the actual episode, it's just slightly edited - the "he def had tenpats" line was just moved from beginning to the end.
i know they probably had their reasons but i feel like they shouldve kept the scene with jesse bringing toys for brock/the two playing together

Yeah I never really gave credence to the underlying rage about Grey Matter that motivated and drove Walt to such extrremes, until later in the show after he told Gretchen to fuck off., and even later.

So to describe the last deleted scene, Walt is explaining to Gus why killing him would be worthless: because if Jesse finds out, he'll put two and two together and sell Gus out to the authorities.

We know he had one failed marriage prior to the start of Better Call Saul (the fallout of which led to the Chicago Sunroof incident) and it would make sense to assume then that he marries Kim, this still leaves one marriage to fit in after Kim yet before Breaking Bad (or season 3 at least).
I'd imagine it doesn't count as it wasn't included in the final version and it's unlikely Jimmy's backstory had been fully conceived at the time of writing this scene. Interesting to see though - he's a fascinating character.
