Hi Lyle, YES! Dan was mouthing Oh Wow! As we all were the first and every time we see this video. Awesome and perceptive reaction! There is a Carpenters connection. They were guests on a Perry Como TV Special in 1974. They did a medley of each other’s hits. This had Karen singing a verse of It’s Impossible. If you look on Dan’s channel you will see a few months ago when he was algorithm’d a Tori video. He was something aback, he made two mini-doc/reactions to her music. So when he saw the Como video (it’s also on UA-cam) he wondered what it would have been like if Carpenters had recites song. So he reached out and serendipity happened and you just watched the resulting video. Magic! (Oh she covered that song as a Short 😊) I’m going to go see the second video presently. I’m very happy you are having so much fun discovering these amazing talents! Joe Bonus: Lyle, Tori makes a lot of Short Videos. One recently struck me harder than the usual (albeit great) videos. This was a total creative exercise on many levels. She took a modern song; Coincidence by Sabrina Carpenter and a classic; Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell. She mashed them together. She produced everything except write the original songs. She even hid a secret which she notes in the pop up. (I know the secret) This young woman is insanely talented. ua-cam.com/users/shorts0078CObw7Pw?si=nx0EgMNd8cvpfhop .
I love that I have watched this Song by Tori and Dan no less than 50 times being reacted to, and you were the first to be so incredibly sensitive and observant to have seen Dan 'mouth' the word "...wow...." at the end note of Tori's. Thank you so much for your heart-felt reaction and for giving me a gift at the ending !!! Cheers !!! Marcia
Yes! When Dan confirmed to me the “Oh Wow!” It was what we all were saying, verbally or in our heads. I’ll share a behind the scenes. She had the take done with the Blue mic she was using in everything. Then the U87 arrived and she wanted to do another take. The high note was in take 2. Oh Wow! ❤ Joe
@@jbs256 That is another gem ! thank you Joe - she has a God given talent and is a pure natural. I know she is genuinely nice too from all that I have watched, which makes me doubly happy for her success in however she wishes to bloom going forward Cheers !!!! M.
Thank you. You're wonderful trilogy of reactions to three of Tori's beautiful covers are the perfect example of genuine and heartfelt appreciation for the gift that she is sharing. I have thoroughly enjoyed your impressions and reactions to the efforts put forth in WOJB, Suddenly and now Impossible and thank Joe for sponsoring and being so instrumental in spreading the word about Tori. She has so much to offer.
I'm aure Joe has a lot of suggestions for you, as he is a huge Tori booster. Howerver, if you want to hear Tori, instead of Karen or Olivia, I would recommend her cover of Georgia, in which she does NOT channel Ray Charles, although I bet she could if she wanted to. I think it is pure Tori, and it is equally great. Tori is not Karen or Olivia from the records, but they would have sounded different in person too, and Tori is really as close ae we are likely to ever get again.
Hello, how are you? I would like you to react to Gabriel Henrique singing the acoustic song Vision Of Love posted today. If possible, react. Sorry for intruding on this video 🥲❤
@@PatrolNation hi Lyle, I see you’re under the weather as I write this. I hope you feel better fast! Then I can pizzazz you with this Tori cover from about a year ago. It’s an audio only song. It is a cover of the Ray Charles classic Georgia On My Mind. Guess what! Tori sounds NOTHING like Ray. Whew! 😊 There was a lovely comment above for this song (Eric Z.). I try to hold the audio only versions until I establish Tori fully. I have some Christmas songs soon, most are audio. While you heal, I’ll give you some background on this song. There’s a huge clue in there about something. The producer/arranger/pianist of this song was Chris May. He cowrote a book, Carpenters: The Musical Legacy. His coauthors were Mike Cidoni Lennox and Richard Carpenter. 🧐 Chris also handles all the social media for Richard. 🧐 If you write to any official Carpenters’ site you actually contact Chris. He answers or passes it on at his discretion. So he made this recording with Tori. Chris was also a guest and interview host for The Carpenters 55th Anniversary last April. This is where Tori was one of 8 guest singers. On the last night Richard made a surprise appearance and sat for a 90 minute interview with Chris. Mike was supposed to be there but was ill and made a video apologizing for his absence. He’s much better now. At the event Tori also got to meet Richard, in person, for the first time. 🧐 If by chance you aren’t familiar with the Ray original, I’d suggest a listen first. Just for familiarity as she’s singing a different arrangement by Chris. Your knowledge of music is quite vast so I’m thinking you got this. That all said 😊 I hope you enjoy. This is Pure Tori as I like to say. Joe Georgia On My Mind: ua-cam.com/video/DSoJ-mrl1mA/v-deo.htmlsi=ll9qZ8Et1tSR9hcv
She’s an amazing town! Her voice is mesmerizing. In fact I almost fell asleep, listening to the song. Thank you for sharing.

I must have listed to her sing this 40 times and each time is magic.
Grew up watching Perry on TV and she is perfect.

Excellent choice! And a clue. Deep dive into the credits on that song. You’ll figure out something. 😊

Wow, she sound like Karen Carpenter. She could do any of her songs!!!!!!
She pretty much has…start with Lyle’s first reaction a few days before this.
