I agree. Such a nice, neat cut and the scruffy, unkempt beard really takes away from the look. It just doesn't match. I hope the guy trims it himself later because then he'll have a really awesome look.

Years ago, during college, I modeled for hair stylists, several were famous and owned their own hair care products. However, since then I have never had my hair cut by a hair stylist who discussed with me beforehand in depth what I wanted. I wish Dan cut women's hair because he takes the time to discuss what the client wants and if that is possible for their hair texture, current length, etc.

I have 75% graying, natural blond, so even at age 68 I still like to color / cover my gray with a beige-blonde. It’s so hard to find a great colorist, which I have , but the problem is that her cutting skills imo are not the greatest. Fortunately I have a relatively simple shoulder length bob but I like some layering and a slight shorter in back and angled longer in front (but the back is not stacked). I’m always happy with the color but rarely totally happy with the cut. What to do ??! Haha.
I’ve had some bad colorists so switching is scary.

Great haircut - although it's a shame he loses all the 'softness' for a very harsh look... I think if the beard were tidied up it would be even better.

Ive only been watching this channel for a few days now and while Dan does an exquisite haircut and style I can't help thinking that transformations are not finished till the guy gets a shave.

I can totally relate. I had a pixie cut in 2019, then COVID hit and I just let my hair grow until last month and I went into the shop and requested an over the ears pixie type cut. After the initial shock my hubby and family said they like me better in short hair. The cut can make the man, he looks very handsome in this cut.

I was hoping to see a beard trim, too, but the change was terrific, as always. This guy in particular has a really distinctive face shape that lent itself perfectly to this cut.

Really great transformation. I like that you walk us through how to do the cut too because I try to cut my husband's hair and this is a style that I could never understand how to make it look good with the extra long length on top.

EDIT : A person who has cancer or whatever tragic event they suffered who needs new donated hair to make a life like wig makes all these clients heroes.
Dan looks like a guy I went to high-school with, he was in a grunge band for years and when the band disassembled, he became a realtor and cleaned up his look. He looked great both ways but I myself love the clean cut look.
The way he was flipping his shears had me mesmerized. I think he’s done that before.
Not a good cut for his face. He had a look of regret when it was over! Hair grows yay!

You can donate cut hair. There is a process, which is like taking wool to make thread, but you use hair instead of wool to make thread strands. Sad thing is, I've never heard of anyone using this process for hair to make wigs.
