In this video I try 0-60 runs using the no lift shift function of the GT3. I didn't know that the GT3 had this function and it is absolutely AMAZING.
If you enjoyed the video, please like and subscribe. I look forward to seeing you next video.
God Bless,
Mickey
Don't feel bad bro I didn't know about the no lift shift until I watched this video lol. I've put 400 miles on mine already. I'm ruined I'll never be able to enjoy another car 🤣 the manual GT3 is perfect in every way
Agreed and hope you enjoy that no life shift :) It's flawless
Excellent educational video , obviously manual is ideal transmission for a 0-60 run, I glad you did good time and enjoy doing it!!!!
Is a no lift shift awesome?
When I got my Spyder , In interview with Andreas , he say Spyder and GT4 will have it , and it’s not there ☹️
No lift shift is amazing my friend. I've only driven it with no lift shift since you told me about it haha. And I'm sorry to hear about your Spyder. Wish it had it.
NO dude the DSG is way faster 0-60..
I think the clutch dump holds the key to faster times. IMO you’d be way faster if you released the clutch a bit more gently. It will almost feel as though is about to slip but doesn’t.
Will try this
That is exactly what I was thinking as well, because RPMs go too low immediately after launch. At the launch control of the PDK this does not happen I think. Definitely worth a try.
Just checked. The PDK launch control revs ca 6600 rpm before launch, that certainly helps to keep revs higher
@@gt3tfc173 Great observation. Thank you. .... Any idea on what the times are with the PDK on the street?
@@MiamiMiles Around 3.5 secs. Good luck for your new attempts. 4.2 secs should be possible ;-)
Your makin a rag-a-muffin out of that gt3
LMAO. Haven't heard that phrase in a minute. Made me laugh. I beat beat it up....
You absolute madlads. Takes some balls (and spare cash) to even try NLS those.
Waiting for the day I'll be able to get one of those in a few years. Im even more sold by that kind of geeky detail.
Maybe its meant to limit damage done by poor clutch management ?
Do you hit the clutch while doing it ?
The clutch has been replaced not because of this but because of the 4.5L engine upgrade. So the clutch is now unaffected lol
@@MiamiMiles Sorry, my question was not very clear. I was meaning to ask if you press the clutch with a short blip while no lift shifting.
Mr JWW did a video on this exact same stuff, and he does blip the clutch while maintaining gas during NL Shifts.
@@smb.4900 No blip needed. The No lift shift holds RPM's Between shifts when you press the clutch.
I didn't even know manual GT3s had launch control at all. I thought you just found out what the best rpm for launch was and sent it.
Run during a cool night with better density altitude. Knock an additional tenth or 2 off.
I’ll try this… 🙏🏻
Heat up the tires and try with esc and traction off. The cars stuttering off the line. That’s always the issue with manuals for 0-60. Don’t worry cars bulletproof too. Any 60-130 runs?
Not yet. Thinking about doing that video next. Will try what you said. The couple times I took the esc and traction off, I did massive burnouts hahah. Probably cuz i was just dumping the clutch. I appreciate your comment on the channel 🙏🏻
@@MiamiMiles no problem. Quickest I’ve done is 8.38 60-130. Not much data out there for manuals. I’m not stock tho. Dundon street headers and loud muffler.
Would love to hear this. Any vids?
@@MiamiMiles I got nothing. Completely slacking on making vids. Cars stored for winter. Spring time I’ll get on it, but look this video title up on UA-cam.
LOUD Porsche 991.2 GT3 with dundon motorsport parts. It’s an olive green GT3. Soon as I watched that I was sold. Pricey, but from time to time you’ll find a barely used set on Rennlist.
@@PCBetter amazing. Will check it out ASAP
Looks like a new clutch is calling soon hahaha... wonder how much will that be.. pls update tq..
HAHAAHAHAHAH. Not yet. I think it'll be a problem for the guy that comes after me.
@@MiamiMiles hahahaha.. sounds like a 992gt3 is in the list then.. 🤗
@@harry-qy2fz I got the allocation. It comes in December, but I gave it to my stepdad. He wanted the car really bad and did me a huge solid, but I'll go collect the car with him and do some bad things to it ;)
@@MiamiMiles nice... good luck n have fun..
Thank you my bro for the engagement.
Must be honest, didn't realize my GT3 had it either🤣
Honestly it makes for a great experience 👍🏻🙏🏻
@@MiamiMiles I'll be sure to try it out next time I'm in it🙏🏼
Not going to lie watching this is like nails on a chalkboard, while Porsches are very durable vehicles, launching a 911 in general is very hard on the drivetrain and clutch because of natural inherent traction of the rear engine (and it’s significantly harder on a 911 that isn’t equipped with Porsche Dynamic Engine Mounts that better controls wheel hop by keeping the engine rigidly mounted to the subframe). If potentially doing damage to the vehicle would yield an amazing 0-60 time would be one thing but at the end of the day a low 4 second run is hardly worth mentioning in today’s high performance cars. Either way I enjoyed the video and just hope the next owner doesn’t watch it 🤣
LOL. I agree with this 100%. The car even limited me from launching at 5K multiple times because it was tired of the constant launches. I had fun though :) That was my barometer of success haha
