if you are looking for intersect, then you need to look for the hashtag/crossover area. If looking for OR/UNION then anything highlighted, not only the hashtag area. I think
The way I understood it: A’ meaning “not A” so shade everything but A. U B meaning shade anything thats not A… and B (which is the U) So shade “Everything but A” and “B”. Hope this helps. Sorry if i was too late 😭

for the exam question, i do not understand why A intersection B is 0. if A and B are independent then why is the intersection not 0.25 x 0.4
