This game is really frustrating sometimes. And I don't know if the new autobalance is a good thing or not.
No it's not, i've had some of the best players from one team auto balanced onto the dominant team
The new autobalance is what we need, people wouldn't stop complaining about the original autobalance, then they removed it completely for the release of casual and the community flipped their shit. The volunteer thing was a nice compromise but in the end it didn't make anyone happy. I don't know why they would remove it tho. Just ask everyone at the same time if they'd like to switch sides, and if nobody does, then force autobalance. Simple.
Prophet that sounds waaaayyy better. Cos what if someone DOES want to volunteer, unless it asks, it doesn't know. So your idea makes perfect sense. If anyone wants to volunteer, great, they can, and EVERYONE is happy. And if no one does, then someone gets picked like they do now

I think the most amount of kills I got on dustbowl was as a phlog pyro in which I got like 140 kills. It was fucking absurd (and also felt very very bad).

you didn't need the sentries to go down. you needed a team. I am not talking about the medics. I am talking about the fighting classes and the engineer who had nothing built. They were just waiting at the point to defend the sentries. the Engineer should have built a sentry right in the corner to prevent the enemy from stepping in. Banny should have waited for the spies to get in position before he ubered through. He had a mic? It was possible.

firesniperbullet2 first problem: hybrid demoman is even more cancer than stickies. second problem, you use lock n load the easiet grenade launcher to hit anything, no arch and quicker projectile speed, it's like if the direct hit did 100 dm per hit. Also without stickies having a fast firing speed and deploy speed you wouldn't be able to stickies jump away and rollout to mid. That wouldnt make demoman what he really is "a demolition man".
firesniperbullet2 you're just using crutches to make yourself feel better. At least stickies takes prediction and precise timing unlike pulling a shield just to m2 then m1

Sebastian Contreras Engineers ruin Turbine. Whoever gets set up first holds mid and shuts out all entrances. Then you can't peek because of snipers. All you can do is uber out and get knocked back by pyros. Lots of maps with that same problem.
