- We explore Fez without a guide, and taking in our first impressions of this old city, walking around the streets and the old Medina of Fez, with scammers and touts coming up to us, we explore the copper market and the tannery and eat local food, and go to a beautiful sunset spot over the city.

most of the tour guides are from the government that will never try to scam you even they will protect you from scammers, and with tour guides they will show you, inform you and make you experience the true beauty of moroccan cities.
how you treated some of the people just trying to help you was very unfriendly! the majority of moroccans are friendly and hospitable people. don't feel afraid if you get that much kindness from the people
Absolutly true,
True. From the first day he was still fraid I don't know why
They are not used to humanity or I do'nt know... Also, not getting lost in the medina is impossible. You NEED a guide. So, go with official guides. Don't treat people like dogs please.
Is it common in Morocco that a tourist guide approach you instead? How do I tell if they are legal or scammers?
@@syakila4959 I don't know actually. In the video one of the guys had a badge. But just use your social skills. If the guy looks friendly and clean then you can trust him, just talk about money beforehand. In some medinas, even if you dont want help when you get lost you'll get help anyways to find your way out... xD
The moment where all the calls for prayer went at the same time was so wholesome..what makes it even more interesting is that we hear it everyday but you made us look at it with a different eye.
In Fès there’s the old university in the world you should see it, actually Fès needs a tour guide not like other cities that you can explore by yourself
Oh yes! That’s awesome! Sometimes it’s nice to have a tour guide but it’s also nice to walk around by ourselves and explore the city!

@@HoudaOussous yes the oldest
14:07 the part that i liked the most in this video is the sunset over the city mixed with the beautiful call of prayer !!!!!!! Amazing and so overwhelming ❤️
I am moroccan and I would have taken a guide in Fes it is unlike any other city and you might have missed so many hidden jems.
I only recorded 1 day of the 3 days we were in Fez and our Hostel owner gave us directions and places we had to visit, we love exploring on our own but also know the benefits of a guide.
man for the first time i watch your videos and you make things look incredible with such a positive way, I'm definitely subscribing to your channel
Thanks mate, such an enjoyable video. You've inspired me to get out and do some travel vlogs again. Good luck in your travels!
Ay thanks a lot mate, you too, maybe see you on the road one day!

It’s nice to experience it on our own, and get lost in the beautiful old Medina of fes!
@@Joelfriend Exactly !!! Bravo 👍👍👍

Of course it is a beautiful country!
Great videos! 👍🏼❤️
Welcome to Morocco, there are many beautiful places, and a pleasant trip
It’s such a beautiful city, thank you very much!
There are so many historic places and architectural masterpieces in Fes that represent all the great dynasties that have succeeded one another, I'm afraid you missed it all. One of the comments was right in saying that you need a guide for Fez, if not, at least a good preparation for the trip so as not to miss anything. I still hope you enjoyed the city!
I noticed this on all his videos, I was hoping for them to experience all the great food and see the historical mesmerising places
We didn’t use a guide but we ask locals where to eat and what to see, this was just 1 days in Fez but we spent another two days which I didn’t record a video for
Fez is one of the most beautiful city in my heart. Welcome to Morocco.

مدن رائعة في بساطتها وتقاليدها يكون هناك إحساس بالراحة والدفئ 💯💯💯💯💯
I am sorry for the unpleasant moments you might have had in Fez. But I hope you enjoyed it overall. Morocco is getting economically better and we as Moroccans hope that the people would not have to make there earnings by husseling and making people like yourself feeling uncomfortable. 🤗
I have Moroccan very good friend of mine and he take me everywhere we travel together! I can assure you no scammers will come to you if you walk with Moroccan
This is true yeah, if we were with a Moroccan then no on approached us
You should visit the tangier and tetoine ' nador ' mdik and alhossaima there is a lovely place to discorved there don t forget to go to essaouira and marrakech and if you want to see the sahara u can go to merzouga and do a lot of activities there . Also Agadir is good place to go with taghazout .

I've just seen your vlog in Milos and i recommend a splendid place to visit called CARABLANCA beach not too far from Nador city in the north side. By the way Fez is my hometown but I like seeing it through your 🎥 😉 good luck bro.

stop seeing scammers everywhere mate ...just hire a trusted local guide and you will be hassle free and you will enjoy the medina a lot more...the more you see everyone as a potential scammer the more you are attracting the real scammers...some of these people are just nice people who want to practice their English with you and they may even guide you for free ....the Moroccan society is not like a western society, in the medina it is like a big family and everyone talks to everyone else and when they see a foreigner they want to help him out and may be know about him...next time get a real local guide cause by yourself you will never really enjoy and know it as you should...
Some people were very nice, but others forced us to pay them money just to point us in a direction, unfortunately in Fez a guy attacked me and tried to steal my camera, which I know is not what most Moroccans are like, but the people around us were so nice and helped us out and took us to the police station to sort it out.
Welcome to Morocco

long for our rulers in Morocco to realise that
It's time to replace the bloody French by English? We have to do it for the sake of our economy it's a matter of common sense. Have an enjoyable journey in Morocco guys!

An official new language has been added to world languages, it s that one she speaks with the tour guide lol
Ahaha I love that! 😂 Emilia can’t wait to speak it with the world

She doesn't have to invent a new language 😅😅😅 just pull your pockets out showing that they are empty and tour guides will immediately disappear.

Hello everyone in Fez
All the satellite dishes are there because in previous years people used to receive satellite waves to watch TV..but now they don't need to use those dishes.
Marhaba endna is Welcome with us
Aw thank you! 😊
Welcome to fes🇲🇦🇲🇦
Thank you very much!!
The best thing to do, is to explore the city with a local. They can't harasse you that way.
Great video! Are most sights open? Are they strict with masking?
Some sites were closed in Marrakech but apart from that everything was open, they are no strict with masking at all!
@@Joelfriend Thanks Joel!! Happy and safe travels. Continue with your amazing videography!
Thank you very much 😊
Joel ay love you Im from morocco MEKNÈS
Welcome
Thank you very much! 😊🙌🏼
Sometimes the most beautiful authentic places in the world have stories about 'scammers'. Ask yourself why, how and by whom they are financed. It will open your eyes. They just don't want people to go there because most of the time those places are gems. It's another culture where people have their own kind of freedom and less worries.
When you through the leather shop to look at the view , did you have to pay?
I gave him a small tip, but I did remind him on entrance that there was a big FREE entrance sign in the doorway and that i didn’t have to pay
All moroccans people love loubiya soooo good
I enjoy 😉
😍
Nari chdar!!
Saying you had Bisara (Bean soup) in the north of Morocco and it wasn't good is a huge insult for the northern people .. Jokes aside, Chamal (The arabic word for north) is very known for being the best to make Bisara .. It is usually consumed during wintery days to keep you warm !! 👌🏻
🇲🇦wow

Thank you very much!!

for the satellite dishes , moroccans doesn't pay a plan for tv not like in europe , u can have all the chanels with this satellite without paying yre operator . that's why a lot of moroccans still use this to avoid paying a subscription
Oh right thanks so much that’s really interesting! 😊
