That equation for radiation is only valid for small dime in large shell case i believe, can anyone suggest a reference book from where this is taken to verify?
This lecture series is just perfect for weak non-IITians but some topics are missed here - Detailed use of Heisler's chart for non-lumped analysis of Transient conduction......IIT Kharagpur should make some more courses on Advanced Heat Transfer on applied technologies like "Compact heat transfer systems" , "heat & mass transfer in porous media" , "heat transfer in nano-fluids", etc.......
He took it because radiation is the mode of heat transfer which takes place in form of emw from any body at any temperature. Apart from that radiation heat Transfer can take place in any medium.
There is no need of any medium is not meant that it doesn't takes place in presence of medium......It can be transferred through any medium.......Because every interfacial medium has some emissivity then it can be small or large accordingly radiation is considered.......It is effectively transferred in vacuum with significant magnitude hence mostly in applications involving two solid surfaces or source & sink at a distance separated by some gas/fluid medium which has very weak absorptivity .......
Sir. You explained very Well . Thanks for clearing All my Doubts

What do you mean "weak "
Sir why you took radiation because for radiation there is no need of any medium

@@vishwajeetniranjankant4613 thanks bro, now I understand it because now I have studied radiation also. 😁thank you bro

You are correct partially, the equation used doesn't seem correct for this case.
