- Beretta M9 22LR review including pros and cons. Overview of the Beretta 22 caliber version of the iconic 9mm M9 and 92FS with demonstration of disassembly and reassembly.
I own both the M9-22 and the 92fs and I love them ! The M9-22 is super reliable and accurate, it's so much fun at the shooting range !! :)
Thanks for watching and thanks for the positive comment. Indeed, I would totally agree on the reliable, accurate and fun qualities of M9-22. If you haven't already, I hope you'll subscribe and check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
Definitely one of my favorite .22 pistols.
Chews up and spits out any ammo like child's play.
I absolutely agree! One of the best .22s out there. Thanks for watching and thanks for the positive comment. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
Awesome review. Your videos deserve more traction. Shot a good amount of firearms when I was younger, but never had my own. This will be my first sidearm/gun.
Thanks. I appreciate the compliment. I think the Beretta M9 22 is a good choice. I know I enjoy mine.
Liked and subscribed. I've never seen a bad review of these guns. I like .22 as well and am buying one of these after I get My 92FS INOX.
Personally, I think it's one of the nicest. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
I currently have 2 Kel-Tec P17's which IMO is the best .22LR Handgun out there with it's three 16 round magazines and 1000 rounds of No Failures, right out of the box! Having said this I like everything about the Beretta M9 and I just may add this gun to my growing collection of .22LR Handguns! I also have the Beretta Bob Cat, which I love in a very small hide a Gun!
The Kel-Tec P17 is on my .22 wish list. Great gun. The 21A Bobcat is also on that list. Thanks for watching and thanks for the positive comments. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
Great review thinking about getting one .made me laugh any gun you carry is better than the one you left at home...classic much appreciated all the best
I made that video about 2 years ago and the Beretta M9 22 remains one of my favorite. Great choice. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.

I just finished shooting mine after receiving it today. Too heavy and too long double action trigger. Single action is fine. Very accurate. But the decocker safety levers are terribly stiff. So much that they are painful to operate. I oiled it up and manipulated the controls a few hundred times. I sure up it loosens up.
Yeah, double-action trigger pull can be uncomfortable, just like on the 9MM big brother M9. The decocker safety on mine is very light and easy to operate, but then it's about 4 years old now. Excellent video!
Thank you! Cheers!
If they had scaled it down but kept the grip useable... Not only would it cycle from a shorter cycle and lighter mainspring, but it would have sold far more units as a 22lr.
Perhaps, but I think Beretta meant it serve as a trainer for its full-size 9mm M9 and 92FS models. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll subscribe and check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review
I've had my m9 for about three years. Great gun. Only bad thing is that sights are dove tails and don't have many options for changing the sights
Good point. Thanks for the comment.
@@mickmacstabletopreviews8466 I did have a gunsmith drill a hole in the front sight and pull a red hi rez line through it so I now have a "red dot" on my front sight which makes it 100% easier to sight
@@mattheww5157 Very nice.
The slide is not steel, it is aluminium due the lesser recoil off the .22lr projectile.
That’s also why it is a bit lighter then its bigger brother .9mm
True , but it was one of my early videos and I couldn't see redoing the whole thing for that slip-up. Perhaps I should. Great a great 22. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. I plan on buying my first pistol and I came across this .22, would this be OK for a first pistol..
Thanks for the question. The Beretta M9 22 is, in my opinion, an excellent choice. It's certainly one of the best representations of a big brother 9MM version after which it is modeled and it appears to be very popular. The price is right and operationally mine's been flawless. There are obviously other very good options out there, but it would be hard to go wrong with the Beretta M9 22.

Wished they made one with a threaded barrel
While the Beretta M9 22LR doesn't come with a threaded barrel (I agree, it should) there is a threaded true Beretta factory drop-in threaded barrel available for about $125. Note it's not available for California or New York. Thanks for watching and don't forget to like, share and subscribe. Hello there, I saw one single review where the top of the right grip plate would be pushed out a bit by a spring behind it, creating a gap. Is this the case with yours as well?
Just checked mine and "no" I see no movement or gap. I appreciate the question and thanks watching. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.

I see a lot of these selling as used ????? My question is why all used ones are in like new conditions raise price at factory to 2 mag’s no one wants to order another mag
Good question. At least for the 9mm version. I think it's because the M9 has such a great reputation. And it is a gun that the public sees a lot in movies, etc. Its action is very smooth and it has a pretty good price tag --- and it's a Beretta. So when buying (especially their first gun), I can see where the Beretta M9 would be viewed as a very cool gun. But it's a heavy full size duty gun. It's not the best choice for carry. Since it's the Beretta M9-A1 that has a frame rail, the M9, without an easy attachment point for a light or laser, further limits its practical use as even a home defense weapon. It wouldn't take long for many to realize the limited applications of the M9 for the average person. So, trading for something more practical leads to a bunch of used ones out there.
As for 22 models, I'm not sure why you'd see a lot of used one's for sale. At least that's my thoughts. And yes, 2 mags would be better than just one.

Will the grips for the 92 in a 9 mm fit the 92 in the 22 long rifle pistol
Good question. Without taking the ones off my 9MM I'd say they look very very close. I'm hesitant to remove the Crimson Trace grips on mine to check for sure. Inside the mag well is different, but that shouldn't make any difference. Screws are in the same locations and all dimensions look the same. I'd bet they'll fit.

Great review, well done. Thank you. Have you tried CCI Stingers? How did they function? Thanks again.
Not yet. I've stuck with the CCI Mini Mags, but I'll give the Stingers a try when I get the chance. Thanks for the comment.
Is there a DECOCKER ONLY version ? Love the gun but I´m not a fan of safeties.
Good question. While I don't believe you can get the Beretta M9 .22 without the safety, there is the Beretta M9 - 92/96 G Conversion Kit from Beretta for about $50 that can be used to convert the slide safety on the 9mm gun to de-cocker only. There are some UA-cam videos on how to install the conversion kit. Doesn't look to difficult. You would need to check with Beretta to find out for sure if the kit will work on the M9 .22 slide. I've looked at both of mine (my 92FS and M9 22) and I think there's a good chance the kit would work. If it's important to you, it would be worth the inquiry. Good luck and thanks for the question.
@@mickmacstabletopreviews8466 Spot on!
Mine most certainly has a de-cocker
the one being shown does look like the decocker is a safety as well. I just got mine m9 .22 and the decocker is not a safety, or if it is I can't get it on 'safe'
On mine, applying less pressure to the lever will decock the hammer without going to safety. Not sure if it's intended to work that way, but that's how I'm using it!
I have a question you got 325 rounds with 3.50cents
I didn’t know 22lr was that cheap lol
Actually, if you'll check at about 00:45 you'll note that I said "...for about 3.5 cents each". That would still be a good bargain if you could find that deal today. Man, I wish I could get a magazine that hold 30 rounds for the m9 22lr aha
That would be very cool! I've looked and only 10 and 15 out there. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
does anyone know what size allen screw is for the rear adustment?
Mine is 1.5 MM. Thanks for the question. Hope this helps.
@@mickmacstabletopreviews8466 thank you!
What material is this 22 made?
From what I can tell, the frame is a polymer, the barrel appears to be carbon steel and the slide is an aluminum alloy. Hope this helps.

Crappie 1 mag
