However, the popularity of the P32 expanded significantly as the public’s interest in an affordable pocket pistol has increased. Due to its locked-breech, shor...

Universal Pistol Grip Sleeve Solution Tabletop Review - Episode #202430
Переглядів 1212 місяці тому
Universal Pistol Grip Sleeve Solution and installation. Some pistols have a kick to them when fired that can be uncomfortable for the shooter. In most cases, if it’s a carry weapon, I’ll just accept that as one of the drawbacks to that particular pistol. Adding rubberized grips increase the thickness of the gun and increase stickiness when drawing, so I’m reluctant to do so. However, if the gun...

Yeah my action ceased up and spent 2 years in the shop looking for a new fireing pin.
Sorry to hear that. But thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
1 small detail you forgot to mention was the back end of the action on some, had a cut groove, to add a peepsite. Wich are extremely hard to come by together.
That’s my everyday carry gun.
Very cool EDC. Thanks for watching and taking the time to share. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
I picked one up in Kodiak in '93. I have no idea how many rounds I've put through it, but I've never once had an issue. Clean it, oil it, feed it decent ammo, and Bob's your uncle.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
What is the beautiful leather pocket holster that your Seecamp 32 is in?
That holster came from Seecamp's collection. See at: shop.seecamp.com/shop/holsters/ I believe it was their Desantis Front/Rear Combo Leather Pocket Holster. Good holster. Not cheap but worth the price. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
At 67 I have carried a gun since 1994. Those heavy steel guns are a thing of the past for me. I bought a P32 7 months ago and I carry it every day even in sweatpants and gym shorts. I prefer the euro loaded S&B or Fiocchi 73g FMJ for carry ammo as its loaded hotter and both have beveled rims to prevent rim lock. Mine has been 100% with any FMJ ammo I have tried in it. I think its the perfectly designed pocket gun. BTW if you lock the slide and remove the magazine before removing the pin its a lot easier to get under it since you are using the slides forward step down to give you more room. I just use a 32 round that way.
Thanks for the feedback. Always appreciated. Good information on ammo. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment and share. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
I own one in the 25 caliber and I love it, plus it’s in pretty good condition for how old it is

Great review, thanks. Just bought a 670 in .270 and mint like new condition like yours. Anxious to try it out. Paid $650 and it came with a nice 4x12 Leopold scope. Intending to use it for pig hunting here in California. Your video was very helpful. Well done.

I had one years and years ago. As a person with large hands, it was such an accurate reliable weapon.
This is a gun that many people had in the past and really regret having sold or traded off. Big, but just an excellent 45. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.

Funny enough the pistol in James Bonds Dr. No is in fact a Walther PP even though its described as a PPK.
PPK does sound more professional than "PP" and there's no doubt the movie industry takes many liberties. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
The first time I disassembled and reassembled my MK lll “Hunter”, it took me 2 fricken hours…, and that’s after I watched this video. I practiced by disassembling and reassembling my MK lll three times. I now have the process down from start to finish in less than 15 minutes. I know I can get it done in less than 10 minutes. This video helped immensely. Only now am I looking forward to shooting my MK lll. I will NOT be replacing it with a MK lV. By the way, I’m 75 years old, and I learned something 😂 Still hitting tight groups.
You are very welcome. Always glad to hear that this review helped. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment and share. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
I recently purchased the Franchi I-12 Diamond from a friend. Unfortunately, my friend is getting old and doesn't hunt anymore. He is on Hospice and is liquidating his possessions. He has always called his shotgun a Benelli, and offered his beloved Benelli to me. I couldn't find a Benelli Diamond (what he kept calling it) on the internet. Knowing the Benelli name and trusting my friend, I offered $1,000 sight unseen. Let me back up. I've hunted with him, about 6 years ago, during his last hunt. I've seen the shotgun, just not recently, and I didn't inspect it back then for sure. I know he took very good care of his shotgun. I used an old Remington 870 for years and admired his sleek "Benelli" while out hunting. I drove over to his house and looked at the shotgun, cash in hand. I made up my mind before showing up, I was leaving with that gun. I took a quick look at it, ran the bolt, looked down the barrel. It was clean and free of dents and dings, just as I remember. He couldn't remember what he paid for it several years ago, and never thought to ever ask while we were hunting. Not that I would remember today. I brought the gun home and started looking a bit closer at it. It's not a Benelli, its imported by Benelli. It's made by Franchi. Never heard of this company. I had a very hard time finding info about this shotgun initially. I found this video during my search. I'm trying to figure out if I overpaid for it. Not that it matters, I'm helping a friend and it seems like a great shotgun I don't have plans to ever resell anytime soon. I'm just curious if I made an expensive mistake. From what I can tell, the Diamond I-12 is the next step up in finish, with a nickel engraved receiver. The shotgun came with all the tubes, but no shims. It's in like new condition. What are your thoughts? Thank you for making this video!
You probably did well enough with your friend's Franchi at $1,000. From what I can find, new ones averaged about $1,300 (some sold for closer to $1,400). Trade-in value might be about $500-$600. Used, it probably could be bought for about $800 (again, on average) with some sales above and some below that price depending on condition and the fact that it's the "diamond" version. So, you made your friend happy and you got yourself a gun you always admired. I'd say enjoy it and forget what you paid to a friend for it. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment and share. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
I recently acquired one of these in a gold engraved version! Anyone know of approx value and if it is rare or not? I can not find anything anywhere on it
While the Tanfoglio GT380 isn't by any stretch of the imagination a high-end firearm, a gold (not just paint) engraved model sounds very interesting. Could be worth a few more bucks than a standard one, especially if it was a presentation gun with providence documentation. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment and share. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
I bought 2 of these about 8 years ago $165 a piece on a sale , great close range gun , the trigger could use improved. But it’s a great pocket gun . I’m waiting for ruger to make the lcp 32 caliber. Ruger wake up !! I’d buy 2
Good price. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment and share. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
My bottle of casey super blue says wait 30 seconds after applying bluing agent. You said 30 minutes.
Yes, so the instructions suggest and as has been pointed out by others. But there are those of us that prefer to let the solution continue to work for as long as there is a reaction. That appears dependent upon the quality and composition of the metal you're trying to blue. I have an Olight BALDR-S on my home defense Springfield XDs .45 ACP. While the green laser is almost bright enough to illuminate a night time threat by itself, the white light is no joke. Of course you can select 'light', 'laser' or 'light and laser' (the option I prefer). It recharges from a USB. That gun is either on my nightstand or on my desk, 1' away from my right hand.
Good choice. Thanks for commenting. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the detailed video. I unfortunately inherited my dad’s 686 Onyx. It was his favorite gun he owned. He was a tall man so he had the LOP extended, I’ll need to find a smith to bring it back to original LOP so it’ll fit me.
Understood, but the 686 is probably well worth the investment needed to better fit you. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.

I collect Spanish guns. I got the constable, looking for the A60. I carry the Bersa Thunder 380 PLUS which is the 15 round double stack. Maybe the parts from the Bersa could fit or be fitted. The Bersa 15 round might work in the Astra

Greetings from Poland. "Łucznik" means "archer" in Polish, and it is the name of the arms factory located in the town of Radom (pronounced rah-dohm). Czak is pronounced "chuck" - in Polish, the cluster "cz" is the equivalent of "ch", but harder - with the tip of the tongue rolled up towards the back of the mouth. While it may seem strange for regular police, and military units to use a compact pistol with a capacity of only 6+1, but you have to remember that at the time, Poland was a socialist country, held in an iron grip by a totalitarian government, so issuing uniformed police officers with a 6+1 handgun and only 1 spare magazine (that was serial number-matched to the gun, and the officer was not allowed to lose it) wasn't a big deal, as they didn't see much use, except to be carried, but rarely fired. The P-64 was made primarily for undercover work - particularly for the criminal department of the regular police, and especially the secret state police going after dissidents, and political opponents - that's why it is so small, and has all those rounded edges. I don't think it sees any more use as a service pistol, though it certainly was popular due to small size, and light weight, especially among those who didn't really expect to use it, even with the snappy recoil (IMO comparable to firing an airweight j-frame with regular, 158 grain .38 special; snapy recoil due to high bore axis, resulting in the characteristic flip, which pushes the gun into the web of your hand). And they are in such great condition, because in socialist Poland, private gun ownership was non-existent, and all production was reserved for military, and police, and more were made, than necessary (total production was around 200k units), and quite a few ended up going into storage directly from the factory. Every now, and then, someone digs up a crate of these things, and puts them on the market, often with full kit. Same goes for the PM-63 - although significantly fewer had been made (about 80k), you can still find "never issued" examples. Definetely a cool piece of history, and I'll leave you with 2 tidbits: The P-64 saw first "operational" use as a military pistol during Operation Dunaj - the soviet intervention in Chechoslovakia in 1968, to squash independence movement known as the Prague Spring (after the Chechoslovakian communist government instituted a number of reforms, and allowed the people more freedoms, like more freedom of speech, etc.). In Poland, the P-64, while known from police holsters that were a common sight, is perhaps best remembered as the sidearm of Lt. Borewicz - the main character in the tv series "07 Zgłoś się" (zero-seven, come in) - 07 being the radio reporting name for the character, who was a detective in the criminal department of the Warsaw police (known as Milicja Obywatelska - People's Militia, but don't confuse it with any sort of liberty - they were the government's jackboots). A ladies man, Borewicz was the cheap knockoff version of 007 (the callsign 07 wasn't accidental), but that's what we had to watch on tv in those days (the series ran from 1976, to 1987, with 21 episodes being produced in relatively short - 4 or 5 episode runs).

Thank you for this interesting, informative and objective video review! I particularly liked that you emphasised shooting skills and experience as that is the absolute best way to improve one's abilities with their carry firearm. Regular practice will instill confidence and I wholeheartedly agree with you about shot placement, its everything! I have always really liked this compact pistol, and as you have said, despite the known quality and reliability issues with the brand, these did not apply to their P32. You also point out the improvements in ammunitiion performance that the P32 benefits from. An affordable pistol allows for several boxes of ammunitiion to familiarise oneself and to practice. The Belt Clip, Extended Magazines and Laser Sight are superb upgrades which make for an improved carry gun. This intelligent, well focused review covered everything relevant in a concise, professional manner.

Here are the differences between the PT58 models: PT58S - 12 round magazines, no decocker PT58SD - 12 round magazines, with decocker PT58HC - high capacity 15 round magazines, with a decocker. Note the HC has a longer grip length. PT58HC Plus - same as the PT58HC, but it comes with two extended 19 round magazines. Note that we know that the PT58HC Plus will also takes the 15 round mags. As such, I would think there’s a good chance the magazines would be interchangeable between models with the shorter grip PT58S and PT58SD being capable of using the higher capacity, longer magazines from the PT58HC and PT58HC Plus. Obviously the shorter PT58 S and SD magazines would probably be too short for the HC and HC Plus longer grips. Of course, the longer magazines would stick out from the bottom of the PT58S and SD’s grips. In the end, it’s all dependent upon where the catch and release notch is on the left side of the magazine, but I think its a good bet they would work just fine.
Esta arma puede usar los magazines de la taurus hc???

I bought my G43 on a whim. It was advertised as USED LIKE NEW for $300. It's a FDE version. I've since added a Pearce +1 mag extension, an ETS 9rd mags w/grip sleeve, and a WARRIORLAND TACTICAL OWB paddle holster. It's replacing my Walther PPQ M2 as my primary EDC...at least until I can wring out my new CZ P10S. 😊
Cool! Thanks for watching and taking the time to share. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
I have the exact pistol. BTW it say 22 because it shoots 22 long and 22 shorts. If you buy a 22 short magazine it will work no problems. That’s what it’s designed for. Dual caliber. Thank you for the review
Yep, 22 shorts will fire in just about any 22 firearm, although the action on semi-auto may not cycle due to the low power and a "short" round mag would be best. Appreciate the info. Picked up a Ruger LCR with Laser Max & I had no knowledge of it. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for this, I've been looking for reliable info on a Boito I bought last year at a show. 1979 made for Kmart, has never been fired. It's very pretty, but action is stiff. Bought for my sons, but now I'm worried about the complaints of low quality. Just want to make sure it's safe for them. It's also nice to look at, even if we never use it.
You are very welcome. I don't think you have to worry about the Boitos being safe and they generally will shoot straight enough. Otherwise you're basically getting what you paid for when it comes to fit, finish and function. Therefore the stiff action. I had no problems trading mine off a few months ago because, as you say, it looked good. Especially after I had worked on the action a bit and refinished the wood. I own a Tanfoglio 380. Purchase approximately 35 years ago. Kept it boxed for almost 25 years. First fired after all children were grown. Less than a 100 rounds fired. Your comments on the accuracy and comfort shooting is 100 % .
Nice, but as you know, the Tanfiglio GT 380 is what it is. Thanks for watching and taking the time to provide feedback. Greatly appreciated. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.

Thanks! I love my PPK but arthritis in my thumb makes the slide almost too stiff for me. I'm looking forward to switching it out and seeing what works and if it's easier for me to pull
I hope it helps. Thanks for watching and taking the time to provide feedback. Greatly appreciated. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.

How many patent numbers are on the side of the barrel on that 6A? The patent numbers can be used to help determine when it was made. For example, rifles with an RE prefix patent are post war. I have a model 6 with a single patent, a 6A with two patent numbers (no RE patent), along with an 87T, 187J, wards western field 87A and a few others.
That is true. Mine has four patent numbers, none with RE prefix. With its carved checkering walnut stock, drilled and tapped holes for a scope mount, Utica, N.Y. location of manufacture and no serial number it can be dated to pre-WW-II, probably about 1939. @@mickmacstabletopreviews8466 patent 2271576 wasn't granted until 1942. With four patent numbers, 1939 wouldn't be possible.
Thanks or the info.
Good video. I like those combat grips and the half lug on a 29. I have about fifteen 44 mags and most of them are SW. I think SW are superior in handling but ruger is a close second.
Wow! 15??? Thanks, you've helped me feel better about my own collections. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam. Reply
What if I go with the 11/15 lb. combo like you did BUT I want to shoot standard velocity ammo. Is it still going to fire the rounds reliably..????
Shouldn't be a problem. I typically shoot standard velocity rounds and that's what I used in my range tests for this video. I've had no reliability issues with the new spring set-up using either standard or high velocity rounds. Thanks for watching. I'm from Brazil, is there any way you can buy it and send it to me? I pay you for the pix
As best as I can determine, here is the information on the Bernardelli VP 25 Firing Pin - Compression Spring: 1.40 inch spring length 0.17 inch spring coil diameter 0.025 inch wire diameter 14 turns per inch ? - strength
@mickmacstabletopreviews8466 Thank you very much May God Bless You
