Been catching up on other videos, Great catch, the biggest I ever caught was 29.75 incher. note to self, after this video, bring extra springs for my cot with me at all times. The 29.75 incher I caught the boat I was in was about 12 feet of water around noon. I was using a slip knot at 18 feet in around 23 feet, because everyone else on the boat wanted to swim at that spot. That was one of the greatest days of my life.
I cooked some ham up on my buddys new heater last year, we got distracted and melted Mr. Buddy. Thought that was bad luck, but a month later, my buddy was on the ice with a friend, who left early. Thats when he realized his Ion ice auger was frozen in the ice, and had to leave it. Then he got back to his truck, and was locked out, had to break a window, then drive over an hour back home. Sometimes it goes like that. And sometimes you pull in a 30+ incher! That footlong sucker worked!
@@scottmcley5111 I have an action packer tote with a 2 burner Coleman stove, pots and pans, cooking utensils, paper plates, a filet knife and steak knives, plastic spoons and forks, salt, pepper, flour, powdered milk, fish fry in it. I add fresh stuff like potatoes when I leave. It rides in my SUV all summer... I added wheels and a handle to roll it where I want it. I have a little 4' fold up table I strap on top. I put the Coleman stove on the table and have space to eat.
Would have been cool if Jon was here too. I’m sure all the boys were called an updated on the megawalter caught. When I shot my first 4 curl green bean 2023 I was so fired up some I know the feeling to hit a pb bro
Well Sam mama said there will be days like this there will be days like this my mama said. I was surprised you didn’t keep and do a clean and cook. Walleye I bet are delicious. How are pike ? Too bony ?
Congratulations on the 30” Drakes club My goal this year is to catch a 30” Walter in SD or ND. It will be a catch n release but I just want to join the Drake club too 😊
How did you like that 10 degree ozark trail sleeping bag? Super cheap on eBay and I have two sleeping bags but nothing below 40 degrees. I was thinking about grabbing that for the extra windy ice camping nights.
Love the channel. Does anyone know the company that John recommended for mobile internet a few months back. We have att in the country and they are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Horrible customer service and internet. Thanks in advance. Tight lines!!!
I have been a subscriber for a long time. But I would like to have one thing explained. Why are you going fishing? Do you go to take photos and videos and make money on UA-cam? I can't understand why you drive a hook into a fish's mouth, take it out of the water, take the hook out of the fish more or less gently and then put it back in the water. I've been fishing for decades. But I eat the fish I catch too! Unless it contradicts the regulations.

carry a little powdered milk when camping, great for cooking. And get some red LED lights for night use!
Smart! Thanks for the tips!
I was actually thinking about getting a Woodsmans Pantry Plus for Ice camping.
Lots of options.

Nice fish but you don't pluralize the word walleye. Just like you don't say pikes or perches or deers lol.
