- I bought this 1986 BMW R65 Monoshock to convert it into a scrambler/brat style. In this video I paint the cylinders and mount the new exhaust system as well as the foot pegs.

Do you enjoy the “cafe racer” style MC more than the “stalk design” , worth all the work?
I used to, but tastes can change. I got an all original BMW R65 RT now and restored it to it's original full glory.
Where did you get the header pipe Adaptor. ? 38mm to what?

Nice exhaust system, the slip-ons don't point outwards (that was Thomas's complaint with his conversion).
Would this system also fit the R80 mono, and can I ask where you got it from ?
Thank you. They point outwards but not too much. The system is the same as Thomas', except mine is stainless steel and Thomas' is chrome. The system will also fit the R80 mono. We got it directly ordered at BMW Belgium.
