@@T3rb depends, do you care about 3d and slight, and I mean SLIGHTLY better graphics? Then yeah spend the extra 30 bucks but I think that 2ds xl is more bang for your buck
As someone who has owned almost all 2/3ds models (aside from the original new 3ds and new 2ds), I can say the 3ds feels much more comfortable to hold, however the 2ds is by far the easiest to repair because you don't have to deal with the hinge mechanism
The price for these has shot up so much🤦🏽♂️
It really has it's more than a Re-Shelled DS Lite which to me should cost more but it's only $60 which is crazy cheap
Another pro the 2ds has is that it's more durable than the 3ds. Since it was made with kids in mind, the console can take a beating. it's perhaps the most durable 3ds system Nintendo has ever made.
I have a 2ds and a new 2ds XL and in my opinion the 2ds feels more sturdy in my hands, as if the plastic is thicker or more rigid. new 2ds XL feels like it wouldn't survive as many falls than the 2ds.
yeah true but my sister dropped hers and it completely cracked even tho it was on the back.
@@jack555jump I think the back is more fragile then the front. When I’ve dropped the 2ds it’s usually landed on the front. And the screen is not even a little bit damaged
I still prefer the original 2DS over any other model.
I have some problems with my tendons and Its shape doesn’t make my hands hurt, i Can rest my whole hands on the system. My sister got herself the new 2DS XL, but it’s still too small to place my hands.
Besides I’m an old grandpa Gameboy sucker, makes me feel like I’m playing the Gameboy sucesor. And I would’ve never bought a portable system if it wasn’t really cheap.
2DS has better screen because it has normal pixels.

It's not that the 3DS has higher resolution but it's because it's 3D. The 3D effect is done by rendering the image 2 times side by side and then combining them, hence the 800x240. The height is the same 240p, but it's double horizontally, 400 + 400. The 2DS top screen has 400x240 because it doesn't need it due to not having 3D effect. So, they're both the same resolution.
(To be higher resolution it would need to raise the vertical resolution too, like 800x480p. Hope that clarifies it a bit :-))

Really it was just a cheaper alternative for the 3ds. More for people who wanted to get their kiddo a Nintendo handheld but didn’t want them to snap it in half.
I would never ever sell my handhelds. Let alone my 2DS.
I just think that the 3ds and all the hinged design consoles are a little inpractical to hold for people with bigger hands.
Gonna be honest I love the 2ds it reminds me of old school game boys which I love!
To me, just get a GBA SP or a DS Lite.

Supposedly, 2ds are WAY easier to fix which could be an advantage in the following years.
It is, the original 3ds is easily the most complicated handheld to disassemble. But if you don't have to work with the top screen it's nearly the same.

I have a ocarina of time 2ds it's very comfortable and I have 6 3ds's including a Japanese only eevee 3ds xl and a zelda xl I play on 2ds more for the comfort and nostalgia factor but I do play with the rest of the 3ds family from time to time mostly cause I can't transfer from my pikachu 2ds xl to my OOT 2ds

The 2DS speaker is SO FREAKING QUIET! I could barley hear anything so I sold it and bought a regular 3DS. I did own the New 2DS XL before and that has really good speakers!

Kid Icarus is uncomfortable to hold regardless of the model that is why it came with a stand, it is truly worse on the 3DS XL, since it is heavier.

On the ds lite and original DS yes but for DS I to 3DS no. If ur only going to play fire red leaf green then ds lite would be the best option cause it has a backlit and a gba slot and slot for DS games. But if u want to play Pokemon x/y to Sun and moon 3ds. The 3ds has the original games Pokemon red,blue,yellow, gold,silver. As well as the gen 3 remakes and u could play gen 4 and 5 on it by putting a ds game cart into the 3ds game card slot.
Had a old 3ds. But it's broken. So I just ordered a og 2ds do replace. Maybe later I'll try to fix my old 3ds

And now I have Pokemon Ultra Sun, Pokemon X and pokemon omega ruby, Asterix and the mansion of gods, super smash bros, Luigi's Mansion 2 and luigi's mansion and Mario party star rush. Mario Superstars, Mario and sonic at social Olympic 2012 and Mario and sonic at the Olympics 2016 and Mario Land 3d world and Mario and luigi's bros 2D I think and many other games.

I usually send list of games in more then 6 different small parts of messages.
